Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

Such a cute bear and so sweet of you to name it with Brooklynn in mind. I showed her the pictures and now she wants to go make one just like it.

Another disbaby! April 7th is the day I was supposed to be induced with Isabella, but as you know she had other plans and came on the 5th.

That is right! Isabella is an April baby. Easter is April 4th so that may be neat. Abby said she wants to help the new baby do the Easter Egg Hunt - she just doesn't know what to expect - haha. I think she thinks she will be able to start playing right away. She seems excited to be a big sister. How was going to Disney while pregnant? I will be going in November. Right now, I have very low energy and sickness all while working - yuk, but am pretty sure that should pass by then.

Congrats on the new baby! Liam, my middle child, was born on April 7th.

Looks like April 7th is a popular due date for disbabies:). Thank you for the well wishes. So far, this pregnancy is totally different from my first. Had no symptoms with first, but am making up for that now. It is all worth it though:love:. Your kids are such dolls.

Holy cow! I got really far behind but I'm all caught up now!!

A few comments!

My last post is before the picture of Brooklynn with the misty fan thingy. But, I wanted to let you know you totally made the right decision not to spend the $16 on it! We got one in Jan in a gift basket of stuff MIL and FIL sent and broke! The battery compartment broke and the cap leaked!! Not worth $16 or even $1!

I love the pictures of Brooklynns b-day party! She looked like she was having a fabulous time!!

It looks like you guys had a great time at CP! I'm glad you finally got to see Pooh! We love CP! We've done it every trip! Next month will be the first time we're skipping it!

Thanks for the pictures of Donald's Breakfast!!! We're doing it next month for the first time and can't wait!!!

The giraffe on the safari was too funny!!! At least they added a little something different and a little excitement!!

Oh, and I'll be thinking of you next week when you have your surgery!! Channel those Disney Warm Fuzzies like LL to get you through!!!

Okay, I just read your update on your knee..Good job in the tube! :worship: You know I would've been freaking out too!

 I hope that you do get 9:09! :lmao:

Believe me, I was ready to throw my arms up if had even tried to roll my head in!

I want it to be as early as possible, because I'm going to be dying to have my water!

Hi memom,
That must have been the best safari ever ours have been pretty dull lately but I do have a camera that actually has a kids mode and works pretty well on alligators :rotfl:
Quick shoppping ?- Do they sell a set of cookie cutters in like the shape of the fab 5 or something? I know they sell mickey but i'm wondering if they sell others. If so I might mail order I can't wait untill october.

Tomorrow starts our 'i'm going to Disney next month' dance:banana::cool1::woohoo::dance3::cheer2::cheer2:

I think I'm going to get the same one Jill got. She's happy with hers, and it has everything I need. It has a 10x zoom compared to the 12x I have now, but other than that, it's simpler and has everything I need.

I have not seen Fab Five cookie cutters - just Mickey heads. Just be on the lookout, because they are always coming up with new stuff.

It is September, and that touches October, so next month it is! :dance3:

Got 'em :thumbsup2.....if you kept your fingers crossed it worked!! :upsidedow

Very much so!!! It seemed just a few weeks ago that we were making plans and thought that 8-31 would NEVER come!!!! Now we are at 90 days and it will be here quick!! :woohoo:

I think the last statement is best. Lets just wait and see what's going on. But instead of going to Opry Mills maybe we could meet somewhere closer to you. It would definitely be easier for you guys and prob not bad for myself or Dawn.

We'll see what's actually going on once we get closer to time. If it doesn't work then sometime later once you feel better we'll meet up at the hippo again and hang out! :dance3: <~~~ you'll be dancing by then so this you, Jill and me

Jill will be back up here the weekend after we come back from WDW so we can go to Trunk or Treat at church, so we might hook up with you then.

I'm not sure that will work...Our breakfast is at 8:05 and the park doesn't open until 9am, but I'm sure we can figure something out...And I bet I will be able to recognize you! But I'll pm you my # before we head out...

We'll probably be in Fantasyland, so maybe you can call us when your meal is over and we can meet behind the castle. Maybe we could ride the Carrousel together, since that's usually not hard to get on.

Haha what an adorable giraffe story! Thats happened before, who knew Giraffes were such trouble makers??

They appear to be shy and reserved, yet they're really troublemakers underneath. That's kinda how I am! ;)

Oh no! That can't be right. :sad2: I am very sad.....

We did not plan very well, huh?

Bella arrived just a little bit before Easter, and she was the cutest little Easter baby in her too big dress! :cutie:

Jill went in October, so she can tell you her experience. I think she did just fine.

We love the food at Crystal Palace, and I'm sure it is going to remain a favorite on our list of must-do's. It still hasn't worked out for Trent or Drew to go there, so we'll have to schedule it next time when they are there.

Have fun with Donald and the gang! Be sure to get some ham!

I really haven't thought so much about the surgery as I have about the time I get to be off to do nothing but lay around and DIS! Plus, I am looking forward to being able to go on outdoor walks again and it be a pleasant thing.

MeMom--I know this is a bit off topic, but I was reading about your class sizes and wanted to let you know that in our district, which has a good reputation, apparently has a "it doesn't matter what size" policy for class sizes. Our 4 kindergartens in our building have 26 in each class :scared1: My neighbor teaches 4th grade in a different building and he has 28. I just think it's terrible. I only sub in the district, and my son only has 21 kids, so I can't really complain, but it does concern me overall.

Anyway, it's great that your district is trying to limit class size--I think it makes a huge difference.

Thanks for being a teacher--it is an awesome responsibility and I'm sure you do a great job.

It's a very frustrating situation. I feel bad for your friend, and I feel bad for 28 kids who need and deserve his attention.

Our school has an extremely high poverty rate, and we have some kids with serious emotional and physical needs. You would really have to see some of these kids on tape to understand what it takes out of a teacher in a day. You would be in shock that some of the stuff is an every day all day experience.

We just push on as best we can, but it is never enough.

It is rewarding at times, but the cons are catching up with the pros very quickly, I'm afraid. Your kind thoughts are appreciated, but I can assure you I am not nearly as good of a teacher now as I was before all of this NCLB stuff (test, test, test, document, document, document, data, data, data) came into play, and I would venture a guess that most every teacher reading this would say the same. I may be wrong, but I don't think I am on this one.

Our principal tells us we will probably get another teacher, but he doesn't know where he will put a new class, because he's out of space. A school about three miles from us has classrooms sitting empty because we got a lot of their kids with some rezoning. Forty of them were second-graders!

You are supposed to be resting that foot, so it seems that you should have plenty of DIS time. I know you are staying completely off of it so that it can heal...right? You've hired a toddler chaser to do your main work for you, and you are kicked back with that foot up; I just know it!

Right, that's it! A Toddler Chaser. ::yes::  I've actually been online a lot, but not on the DIS. :rolleyes1 ;) I've been "working", trying to cut our monthly budget - I'm learning new ways to stretch a buck, and doing some online work. :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the great Tusker House pics! It looks like such a good meal. Brooklynn and Bella are so cute, Brooklynn all excited and Bella just in complete awe of it all!

I'm glad to read about the MRI and that the doctor will be able to get you back to almost 100%. 9:09 on 9-9-09! :rotfl: Too bad you didn't time it quite right with the testing! :headache:;)

OCTOBER TRIP NEWS: My da
She really did take us out of Music, though,
but she put us in

Port
Orleans
French
Quarter!

That is AWESOME! It's such a beautiful resort, I bet you are going to love it!

What an awesome safari! I too spent quite a bit of time scrolling back and forth to see if it was the same as CP's giraffe. I hope s/he is still around, and feeling like s/he needs more camera time on Thursday!

BEAUTIFUL!!!

I went at the beginning of October and in november at Thanksgiving last year. October was hot, but November was nice and comfortable. I didn't get sick with either of the girls so I don't know how that will affect you if you are still dealing with it then. Hopefully you will be feeling good and can enjoy yourself. If you have any specific questions closer to time just let me know and I'll answer them to the best of my ability.

Thank you so much. I do have a quick ride question... did you do Toy Story Mania (haven't done yet)? Soarin? I think these have a pregnancy warning, but a lot of pregnant women ride. Seems it would be fine, but would love to hear your experience. I am sad b/c Abby will be able to ride Barnstormer for the first time, but I won't be able to go with her - boo hoo. I think I am reaching the tail end of the nausea and tiredness, thank goodness.

That should work , We'll see closer to time!!

Okie dokie!

It's pointless for me to answer you, because I believe you are on your way to Disney World as I write, and you'll probably never see this!

I hope you guys have a great safari, too, and an awesome time all the way around! Can't wait to hear all about it!

I hope you will feel very good on your trip. I can't imagine any reason you couldn't ride Soarin'. I guess Toy Story is a bit jerky, but nothing that would hurt, but for sure I see nothing at all wrong with Soarin'. It's just like sitting out in your back porch swing, and I doubt you'd quit doing that just because you were pregnant!

So, here we go on the Pangani Trail.

IMG_0161.jpg

The spiderwebs looked cool.

IMG_0162.jpg

Ever alert meerkats.

IMG_0164.jpg

Name that skull.

IMG_0166.jpg

The ever fascinating to watch great apes.

IMG_0168.jpg

IMG_0169.jpg

IMG_0170.jpg

Don't look at me while I am hiding...

IMG_0171.jpg

or I will get up and moon you!

IMG_0172.jpg

Getting a drink. I wish I would have been running the video camera.

IMG_0173.jpg

IMG_0174.jpg

IMG_0175.jpg

After the trails, we were ready to go to Rafiki's Planet Watch.

Handcar near the train station.

IMG_0178.jpg

Bella's first picture with the elephants.

IMG_0187.jpg

We'll watch her grow taller than them in the years ahead.

Bella says, "Where are we going now, MeMom?"

IMG_0189.jpg

Brooklynn touched a snake.

IMG_0190.jpg

Then she and I went in for a potty break while Jill and John went to see what today's animal procedure was.

Tile in the bathroom.

IMG_0192.jpg

I looked for new 'poop' info, but I didn't see any new ones. They were all the same ones I have shown before.

On the way out, Brooklynn was almost eaten by this ferocious creature.

IMG_0195.jpg

YAY for more animal pictures!! You had some really great photos of the apes...they are amazing creatures aren't they?

Love the Meerkats too...they are just too cute!!

Awww...Bella and Brooklynn with the elephants...what a gorgeous picture and once again what priceless expressions on Bella's face!!

Love the bathroom pictures!! Anxiously awaiting more!!

Not nearly as cool as the tiger we saw in March, but still interesting.

IMG_0196.jpg

Possums need check-ups, too.

IMG_0197.jpg

The backside of the tiger.

IMG_0198.jpg

Have you ever stopped to read the story?

IMG_0199.jpg

IMG_0200.jpg

Rhino story.

IMG_0202.jpg

Not really all that exciting, was it?

The snake was still out.

IMG_0203.jpg

Jill and Brooklynn getting educated about some kind of reptile, I think.

IMG_0204.jpg

IMG_0205.jpg

Brooklynn saw Rafiki, but didn't have her book.

IMG_0206.jpg

IMG_0207.jpg

IMG_0210.jpg

Jill arrived with the book, so Jiminy signed,

IMG_0212.jpg

and then there had to be a do-over so Rafiki could sign.

IMG_0216.jpg

Rainforest information.

IMG_0213.jpg

For all of you cockrach fans.

IMG_0217.jpg

Then a little shopping.

You didn't have to wait long, didja?

The expressions on all of the creatures' faces are cool - apes, meerkats, babies... :goodvibes

Ah, the meerkats were out and playing for you! I hope they decide to make an appearance the next time I am there -- I was so miffed that they were hiding in June.

Aside from the snake, Rafiki's looked quite fun -- the possum getting his check-up is very cool! I don't think I have ever seen a possum intact before. ;) (Sorry, I just could not resist.)

Nice update.
Where are those elephants? Bella looks like she's really enjoying her self and Brooklyn's having a blast like always. She's not doing her pose with the characters:lmao::cutie:
When do we see Brooklyn take Bella on Dumbo?:confused3

I really have to do that again! While I would be more than happy to pass on the snake :scared1:(Brooklynn you are super brave :worship:), I realy like the vet shots you have had and have here.

What a great time at AK. There should always be "do overs" when you miss a character:goodvibes

PS-The TR has begun...

Is that the crazy bathroom at the planet watch that has animal noises inside of it? LOL! I love Brooklynn (and Bella's) shirts! Jill, i'm addicted to the creative board too! I've done some of my own, ill eventually share them in my pre-trip!

Aww man I so regret not going through the Pangani trail while we were there! I love all the gorilla and meerkat pictures! The gorillas are probably so fun to just sit there and watch for a little while.

I want to definitely try and go back to see Rafiki's Planet Watch. Hopefully I'll get as lucky as you did last time you were there and see a tiger on the doctor's table. I think if I saw a possum, I would run because I think they're so gross!

Can't wait to read more :)
