Three years ago today my little girl became a mommy, and Brooklynn entered our lives. It's been three years of fun and laughter mixed in with occasional whining and a few meltdowns, as with all children. She's such a bright little girl, and when she's not tired, she is personality plus. She will carry on an intelligent conversation with you if the surroundings are right. She will rarely forget anything you say, so if you don't mean it, don't say it! It is dangerous!
I love that little bundle of energy so much I can't even explain it. If you are a parent, you have a good idea of how much, and if you are a grandparent, you're probably shaking your head that you completely understand.
I thought I'd share a few pictures from our dinner last night.
We sat right behind Lady Liberty.
What does your Disney brain think of when you see this?
Two things come to my mind, so we'll share and compare.
Brooklynn checked out her three presents carefully.
The food didn't take too long, and soon Brooklynn was eating her grilled cheese and cantaloupe.
She does not say cantaloupe, however. It used to be 'candaloob', but now I think it has changed to 'candaloke'. Either way, she likes it.
My meal - teriyaki chicken with pineapple, tomato, lettuce, Swiss cheese. Very good.
Jill's burger. She's a plain cheeseburger girl.
John's some kind of burger with egg on it.
Bella's present for her big sister was a Sleeping Beauty play set.
In the pictures where she is looking up, there was a TV on.
While she was opening presents, Brooklynn was the recepient of a rousing round of
Happy Birthday from the waitstaff and and ice cream sundae!
She had wanted them to sing to her, but when they got there, she buried herself in Jill's arm.
Time for MeMom's present. She loves playing with the My Little Pony figures at Disney World, so she got a package full of three ponies and a thousand assorted things to adorn the horses and the living room floor.
I had complete permission from her parents to get this. As a matter of fact, I kept the girls in WDW while they went and made the purchase, so there's no way they can be mad at me for this one.
From Mommy and Daddy, there was a doctor kit.
I suppose they figure if she grows up to be a doctor she can afford DVC pretty easily.
Bella just chilled in her carrier through the whole meal.
It could have been the perfect birthday meal, but it was at a restaurant affiliated with 'that other place',
so it was just a little shy of perfect.
Brooklynn was happy with her meal and her gifts. Here she is carrying some of her loot to the car.
Back at home, Bella enjoyed her play seat.
The pretty girls this morning before church.
Notice how Bella is holding her mouth. She has
two teeth that have popped through on the bottom now.
I am also happy to say we loaded many pictures, so we will get out of the airport soon. Be back shortly to make good on that!
