Jill and I talked about you this weekend - about how excited you must be to be seeing your castle all lit up in icicles again very soon.

:goodvibes....I am VERY excited to see my castle in lights again :love:

T-minus 7 days!! :yay::woohoo::yay:

We do love our girl trips. Things go very smoothly and drama-free. We laugh so much, too. When she is ready, I want to take Jill on a grown-up trip, too.

Know what you mean....I'm very excited to be having another girl trip!! Before long I won't even want to take Matt back ;)

Your short trip in March would be fun and the come back to spend time with the girls. I'm sure whatever you do you will enjoy...it's time off from work right!!??!! :thumbsup2

Well, if you don't mind paper plates, come any time. :)

Paper plates...sheesh I would eat that food off the floor :rotfl:

Bella's first baby food was purchased at Beach Club earlier that morning, by the way.

Baby food from WDW is ALWAYS the best right?? :laughing:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On a serious note, tonight I ended up on a 'Dis' friend of mine FB page, to find out that he has passed away. His name was Randy. He has a wife of 15 years, and 2 precious boys. I think maybe a few of you were on his TR in '07/'08 and his 'random' rambling he started after his TR was over.
I don't know details but from what I can find it was an accident with a train. I'm sure He and I clicked b/c he was an Auburn fan and I being a Vandy fan struck up conversations. At this point I'm really irritated with myself for not keeping up with him. I think this happened sometime in May. And after looking it's been almost a year since he and I chatted. It seems like just a few months. Time just goes by so fast, and makes me realize I take for granted what just always seems to be there.
I am so saddened and really just numb. Like most of you guys, I didn't know him personally but really felt like I was a friend of his and his family. So, if you all would please say a quick prayer for his wife Cindy and boys Austin and Andrew I'm sure they can still use them! Thanks :goodvibes
That looks like a neat parade! We've never actually sat and watched a whole parade through. Is that bad?! LOL! If I were to pick one of those treats now, I think I'd go for the strawberry bar; just like Brooklynn. Yum!
Yes. Very bad. ;)
You are missing out on some neat stuff!
Maybe this trip you can make it a goal to see one all the way through, and then add a new one each trip in the future. :)
We like the strawberry bars, too. They are great to cool you off on a hot summer day. The Mickey bars are good, but the chocolate coating is sooo thick!
Way to go Bella:goodvibes
I just love the beautiful colors in AK's parade! Thanks for sharing:cool1:
It is a colorful parade. I like to watch the 'puppeteers' move those big animals around. They always seem to be having good time entertaining the crowd.
Awww..WTG on baby's first solid foods!!!! That is awesome you could have that milestone at Disney...how fun!!!
Loved this update and all the wonderful pictures of the Animal Kingdom parade. Still haven't seen it but one day I'm going to remedy that...looks like so much fun!!!
Maybe she could take her first step in Disney World on the December trip! :dance3:
I practically did a little happy dance in my computer chair when I read that Bella's first bite of baby food occurred at my favorite Disney resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge!!! :rotfl:
She didn't miss a beat, either. She took right to this eating thing and hasn't stopped since. She loves green beans, peas, and carrots. She can wolf down a graham cracker pretty quickly, too. She's a happy girl when she's munching. :)
You mean Bella didn't try a zebra dome? Poor little girl! :rotfl2:
Those parade pictures came out awesome. I amazed by how much character action you all get at the parades! :thumbsup2
I would have snuck her a zebra dome, but she might have gotten drunk off the alcohol content. :laughing:
The characters are good about coming right up to the little ones.
Precious pictures of Bella's first baby food. The day looks like a blast. Since we were with a pretty big group who wanted to stick together, it was hard to move around a lot. It was good for me because it forced me to sit back a little and take it all in. I started looking at the details and saw things differently since seeing your view of things through your camera. I just loved it!
I see things all the time in other people's pictures that I make mental note of to see for myself next time.
Of course, I usually can't recall my mental notes when we get there. Thankfully, wigd sent me some cool Disney note pads, so maybe I will remember to make real notes from now on. :thumbsup2
We were there from Nov. 6-16. We went to the parks everyday. We spent both Saturdays and Wed. at Epcot, Sunday (8th) at AK, Mon (9th)/Tues/Fri at MK, and Thurs./Sun (15th) at HS! Whew....... that was a mouthfull! I'm sure we crossed paths at some point. And my DH is a BIG talker so if we were near each other in line, I'm sure we talked! He talks to everyone!:lmao: I talked with several people that I thought might be disers, but I never asked. I should have though!
Maybe you are in each other's pictures! :woohoo:
Love the parade pictures! We didn't stick around for the parade but it's going on the list! I would love to have one of those Mickey bars right now. *sigh* How cool that Bella's first taste of baby food was at the AK Lodge!
Very cool indeed! :cool2:
Hope you get to see the jammin' awesome parade!
I can't believe I've been gone for less than a week and have already missed two parks!
That Thanksgiving feast looks wonderful. I love having family together for any occasion, especially if there is food! We had our own feast last weekend when all of our families came down from MI to celebrate my mom and father in law's birthday as well as Aileen's baptism. It was so wonderful to have those that we are close to in our house, instead of being the ones that travel.
Every time I see the AK parade, I realize how much I want to see that next time I go. It looks so fun! Can't wait to see the end to your wonderful day!
I'm glad you got to have that great family time! Feel free to share pictures. :)
I love that Bella had a milestone at Disney -- very appropriate!
I thought of you earlier -- my mom was finally due for an upgrade on her phone, so she got an iPhone. She came into my room earlier and was like, "Meg, listen to this!" It was people singing "Joy to the World" and it was absolutely amazing -- turns out it was from the Candlelight Processional! I can't remember exactly what it was, but it was something like Disney and/or Christmas radio? She can correct me if she sees this. I remember you have seen it before and loved it.
Oh, I will definitely not leave you out of this next trip! And I will be sure to take lots of palm tree pictures for you. I'll take some and upload them to Facebook from my phone so you get to see them sooner, too. :thumbsup2
I hope you have a good weekend!
I was just checking on the Candlelight Processional yesterday. The narrators while we are there will be Angela Bassett and Courtney Vance. I'll be standig in the back to listen to it again.
Great parade pics. The one of Minnie is so cute.
Minnie is such a sweetheart, isn't she? The CM's always do such a good job of making her so sweet and cutesie in their actions.
Jammin Jungle Parade hooray! That is such an awesome parade, I am so glad we finally saw it and so glad to get to see it again tonight.
Glad you enjoyed it. I am thinking that next time I will film it so we can watch our own at home. It's fun to watch others on youtube, but to watch our own would be even more special.
Ariel girl shirt for Brooklynn
100_6164.jpg
I'll take one of each please!
Thanks for sharing all the pictures. We would have gone to one of the stores here last night if we weren't doing the walk this morning.
I almost bought some of those mugs a couple of weeks ago. I will have to go back over there and get some. After seeing them in your pictures, I know I at least have to get one of each.
Brooklynn will smile when she sees the Ariel girl picture. :)
I love all the pictures of Hannah showing, cuddling, and sometimes choking the dolls. :laughing:
Your Disney Store looks like a good one. I think the floors are pretty, too. :) I'm sure everyone here who doesn't have a Disney Store really appreciates your good pictures.
I'm glad you got to go, even if it wasn't great. It was still time for you girls to spend time together. As they begin the interactive programs in the stores, maybe the events will get better.
:goodvibes....I am VERY excited to see my castle in lights again :love:
I cannot tell a lie - girl trips are awesome. ::yes::
This should be an exciting week for you! :banana:
I would go to WDW just for one day to shop, but the cost of getting down there is prohibitive. We thought about driving, because that would be cheaper, but the thought of driving that far makes Kay have a heart attack. She likes the less than two hour flying idea much better! I just need to be strong and deny myself a trip. If I can come up with some cheap alternatives around here, that's most likely what I'll do.
Look out, June, though, because I'm going to be bouncing off the walls ready to go by then! :jumping1:
Your friend's family will be in our prayers, especially as they go through this holiday season missing someone they loved.
********************************
I hope you all have fun Saturday plans. I am headed to Alabama. Jill is walking in a St. Jude fundraiser, and I am going down to walk along with her. I think after that she said Brooklynn has a birthday party. It will be a nice day.
MeMom I couldn't stop laughing at the "hidden" pics of the parade....too funny! :rotfl2:
I always like to see pics of the Jammi'n Parade. I can't wait to see it for the first time! :thumbsup2
The pic of Bella and 'monkey' (can't recall his name?) is so precious!
jillyb WOW! Thanks for all the great pics!
You took alot and Lexi was thrilled!
Makes me want to get in my car and go for a visit!
That would be a very fun job!
Vandyfan I think I remember Randy on your TR.
Very sad news, I will definitely say a prayer today for his family. :hug:
I'm off to the emergency dentist, I seemed to have lost a piece of my tooth or lost a filling....:confused3
I hope he can fix it before I have to work at 1pm....:wizard:
Jill, you got some great pictures at your Disney store -- I think I need to head back to ours and get Connor a LGM for Christmas -- after all, his favorite Christmas song is "I Want an Alien for Christmas" :lmao:.
Great pictures Jill! Have a great weekend with your girls Memom! I leave for Disney in half an hour and I'll be at MK by 4.:goodvibes
Have a great thanksgiving and I'll talk to you when I get back on Thursday!
I somehow lost my subscription to your TR MeMom!!! I realized that I hadn't read an update here in awhile! All caught up again!
Sounds like the 4 park extravaganza is going pretty well, aside from cranky people :rolleyes1 That sounds all too much like DH!
Great pics from DHS and AK!!
Animal Kingdom is my favorite park. I love walking around the trails and seeing all the details. Jammin' Jungle is a great parade. I could really go for a frozen banana.
Hi MeMom! How was your brunch? I'll bet it was yummy!:goodvibes
I just love the way that the characters come right up to the babies during the parades. So sweet!
Jill, great pictures from your Disney store! I'm trying to work out a Kansas City trip next weekend so I can get that shopping bag! So darn cute!
Today the theme continued, as I took a shot of a Hidden Santa at the mall. :)
I hope you get a Disney Store trip soon. :thumbsup2
I also hope you get your dental woes taken care of quickly!
If you are interested, Walmart had Toy Story posters for five bucks, and one was of the little green men. At least ours did.
Great pictures Jill! Have a great weekend with your girls Memom! I leave for Disney in half an hour and I'll be at MK by 4.:goodvibes
One more park to go! :banana:
Animal Kingdom is my favorite park. I love walking around the trails and seeing all the details. Jammin' Jungle is a great parade. I could really go for a frozen banana.
I don't see how people say AK is a half-day park at best. I love walking around that park. There is so much detail!
I had a blast the last time I was their
It's an awesome park!
Hi MeMom! How was your brunch? I'll bet it was yummy!:goodvibes
I just love the way that the characters come right up to the babies during the parades. So sweet!
Jill, great pictures from your Disney store! I'm trying to work out a Kansas City trip next weekend so I can get that shopping bag! So darn cute!
The brunch was great. I made the pumpkin dessert, strawberry cake, banana cake, brownies, and pineapple bread pudding with macadamia nuts. It was so good, and the banana cake was a big hit, yet so simple. Then I bought oatmeal cookies and chocolate donuts. We had ham and turkey, rolls, egg casserole, ambrosia, nacho chips and cheese, nuts, and just all kinds of goodies - since all of us have different planning times, we had some breakfast stuff and some lunch stuff.
*************************
I spent today in AL with the girls. Jill and I pushed the strollers and did the St. Jude walk. All the participants together brought in over $35,000, I think I heard them say. It was enjoyable. Then we walked around the mall a short while. We ate lunch at Steak and Shake, and then Brooklynn had a birthday party to attend. It was a Pinkalicious party, and all the little girl donned cute little dresses, got their hair fixed, and their faces 'painted up' a bit.
Jill has pictures, when she gets a chance to do them.
When we got back to their house, I pushed Brooklynn in the swing for a while before it was time to head home. On the way home, I listened to some gospel music and just thanked God so much for the gift of my family and for the time spent with the girls.
John, thanks again for getting the oiled changed.
Jill, thanks for the lunch. I love you past Pluto, and I love spending time with you and those precious little girls. Brooklynn was so cute with all of her friends at the tea party and on stage in her dress and tiara, and Bella was as smiley and sweet as ever. I could just eat her up!
To all my DIS friends, I hope you all had a very good day, too. :)
Hey MeMom! I just got all caught up again. Verrrrrry long and busy week. My grandpa passed away on Monday night. It wasn't really unexpected, he was 91. He passed away peacefully in his sleep and he wasn't in any pain. Of course it was sad, but we're all okay because he really hadn't been very happy since my grandma passed away 15 years ago, and we know they're together and happy now :) We had a really nice funeral on Thursday. It was private, just my dad and his two brothers, the grandkids(me and my 3 cousins. This was on my dad's side of the family, not the side the babies are on), my mom, and a few other close family members. My grandpa was a WWII veteran so we had military honors and all of that. It was a very emotional day, but we all got to be together and reconnect with each other. We don't get to see my uncle very often; he lives in California. It was really nice, and I know my grandpa would've liked it :)
My cousin Sarah(who is my best friend. We're VERY close) and I had plans to hang out this weekend(we planned it a while ago) and we knew our grandpa would've wanted us to be together and not cancel our plans. So she slept over last night and we went to the movies and went shopping today :)
I'm definitely looking forward to Thanksgiving! I get to see Kazin :love: Caleb's spending the day with his mommy's family so I don't get to see him, but at least I get one baby ;)
Sounds like you had a wonderful day with your family. :)
We went to the Christmas parade today with my MIL and afterwards we went to a chicken noodle dinner at their church. We ended the day, per Hannah's request, with family movie night. The USA channel was showing all of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and we watched the last two.
