Dson 10 broke his toe on sunday and is on crutches,he wants to go back to school tomorow but he cant get socks or shoes on his feet his toes are taped together and very swollen ,the school have said its ok for him to come bare foot, Im just not sure dont want him to hurt himself but he is bored at work with me and is desperate to go back to see his friends .what do you think?

It's a shame that your son can't wear socks, and sorry about his toe.. I probably wouldn't let him come in barefoot at all for the same reasons, but I agree that you may need to think of a plan B.

Perhaps you should allow him extra phone time until a proper sock thing can be found? :)

Could you buy a pair of cheap slippers and cut the toes out of it at least the other part of his foot would be warm. He has got my sympathies i broke my little toe a few years ago its really painful :grouphug:

Sounds painful ~ Hope it heals quickly :goodvibes

This is what my friend did for her DD when she broke her big toe. She bought a really cheap pair of trainers in a much bigger size for about a fiver from Asda, this kept her toes both protected and warm plus it wasn't too expensive.

:grouphug: for your DS.

Thanks for the advice everbody,Kieran made it to school we cut the toes out of dads socks to keep his feet warm he came home in one piece, only down side it took us 4o mins to walk home instead of our usual 10 :goodvibes
