Any suggestions on a new one?

I looked at Target and they are all over $25 which right now is too much.

We are a family of 7 so we need a big one....I loved my old one.

Thanks in advance

Have you tried calling the manufacturer? I had a cracked pot one time & they were going to sell me a new one. They didn't have the matching color so they sent me another color for free. I can't remember what it was going to cost but might be worth a shot. Or check craigslist or freecycle - either for just the lid or a new to you pot.

I've got potato soup in mine now, love the crockpot this time of year! If you can hold out til Black Friday, I got a big oval one w/ timed settings last year for $20 at Target.

Don't you hate that?! I was going to suggest Goodwill. They usually have a large selection of just various lids. You might find one that fits. I broke the glass lid to my big chicken fryer once and was able to find one that fit at a garage sale. Woohoo! Definitely try Freecycle. . .if your lucky there is somebody out there that broke their crock and has a good lid for you.

Yep, call the mfr. They can sell you a new lid over the phone and send it to you. Just have a CC handy, and write down the model number on a piece of paper before you call.

I second trying the local Goodwill or Salvation Army. You could probably buy a whole crock pot for what a replacement lid would cost you and then just use the lid. I've had good luck with that for some replacement things like coffee carafes

The crockpot will still work if you double layer heavy duty foil on it. I used a smaller lid on top of it but you really don't have to. I did it for a while after dh broke one of my lids.

Try freecycle. It's a long shot, but couldn't hurt.

Call the mfr, they will have replacements parts available. Or do as a pp suggested, wait until BF and see what they have in stores then. I've used the foil instead of a lid a time or two and it also worked just fine. :)

Is it a "Crockpot" brand pot? Last month the handle on top of my lid broke and I contacted customer service and they sent me a new lid out for free. I thought they would just send me a new handle ( they are attached my 2 screws). I was very surpised I got a whole new lid.

My crockpot is about 6 years old. All I needed was the # on the bottom of the pot.

I did not call I just filled out the contact form online. No one every called me from the company. 2 days after filling out the form I had an email in my box saying a free lid had been shipped.

Good luck :)

Weird, I called when the handle on mine cracked & was told they could not replace the handle, only the complete lid & that with shipping it was somewhere around $15.00-$17.00. For that much money I just bought a whole new crockpot.

To the OP, check Kohl's as well. They frequently have good sales & if you can find a 30% off coupon it is really cheap! My local kohl's sponsors a blood drive a few times a year, and they give $15.00 gift cards to donors. That's how I got my last crockpot! :thumbsup2

Have you looked around your own kitchen? I have lots of different size lids to various pots, pans, and skillets. Maybe one from another pan will fit.

OP, are you sure on the prices? Target has a half-page of slow cookers on sale this week, in a range of prices.

HOw long ago did you try to get it - I did it last month with no problem. Myabe it was just luck of who reads your comment at customer service.

Probably about a year ago. I threw away the old crock pot when I bought the new one. Also I called, rather than emailed.

You should be able to check online with the manufacturer - they generally have a replacement part section.
