Does anyone out there know if better seats for ny shows
can be purchased directly through the box office. Certain
shows seem to offer no asile seats when seeking tickets
through telecharge. Just wondering if they hold those seats
for folks buying in person at the box office.

Generally, the best seats, and many orchestra aisle seats, are available through premium ticket brokers, rather than through Telecharge or the theater's box office.

You need to buy the tickets the day they put a new block on sale. That's really the only way you can get different seats. Going to the box office is another option but there are a finite amount of aisle seats in the orchestra and they will disappear as soon as a new block goes on sale. Once they end up on the hands of ticket brokers, then you only can pay their price for them.

Alot of theaters are offering "premium seats" these days. On Broadway, they seem to be limited to the block of center orchestra seats, though not more than a few rows wide. I've had aisle seats in the center orchestra for years for all the hit shows but I scour telecharge waiting for new blocks to open up.
