Broadway Club

Ok. So.
1st of all, I don't know if I posted this, but A Chorus Line was in my city last week, and my dance studio had two of the guys come in and do a master class with us. It was pretty freaking awesome- I mean, they've been on Broadway! And now they know my name! lol And we got to go see the show the next day (by the way, it was fantastic, if it's coming to your town, SEE IT)

And now Rent is coming, and my dance teacher got them to come and do a master class for June 7, but I CAN'T GO! :( I'm really upset. But it's ok... I'm just gonna make my friends tell me EVERYTHING.

And, I'm gonna be in a production of Les Miserables all throughout June :)

Oh! And I'm very excited because In the Heights (2008 Tony winner) is touring to my city next year :) I saw it on Broadway last spring break with the original cast before Tony nominations and it was just fantastic... you guys should definitey see it if you get the chance...
I've just been really lucky with theatre stuff this year :)

*cough*

*decides to bring this back up*

In the next 4 weeks I'll be seeing: Phantom of the Operaon tour
and these in NYC:
Shrek the Musical
Billy Elliot
Next To Normal (SO EXCITED)
Wicked
God of Carnage (tony for best play)
South Pacific

Plus the Behind the Emerald Curtain experience and a few other fun NYC things. Gotta love the drama club's theatre study tour.

AHHHH I'm SO EXCITED!!

I'm going to see lion king, little mermaid, and mary poppins in NYC in november :D

I would soo love to know how you found this! haha. xD

My high school holds an annual New York trip for around $1,600, including flights and all play tickets and hotel room.

It's all those shows in 4 days xD Nonstop, wake up early, go to bed at 1 AM. :p Greaaat.

But I'm super excited.

And then I'm going to Phantom with my French club at school.

xD

SO THEN, I'm trying to get one of my friends into liking RENT...? xD

Here's what ya do.

1) Lure them to your house by saying you made cookies.
2) Tie them down to the couch. SuperGlue works too.
3) Put RENT on. Force them to watch.

Oh, and put tape on their mouths so they can't talk.

And the volume at full blast.

Good suggestions.
My other addition...play the soundtrack
OVER AND OVER AND OVER
There is no way that you won't love it after that.
I can't stop listening to it right now actually. :goodvibes

The only Broadway shows I've seen is The Lion King (<3) and Go Diego Go! (lol, I know, my little cousin wanted to see it, and I tagged a long :] ) I want to see Cats or Legally Blonde, though :]

Ooh how fun!

I posted all the plays I'm seeing in the next few weeks on the last page xD

I seriously cannot wait to see Next to Normal and Wicked (for the 2nd time, 1st time on Broadway).

Next to Normal really helps me get through stuff...

Megan, I'm so jealous! J'adore Phantom! I've been DYING to see it again.

It's one of my favorites, too. I saw Phantom on broadway a few years ago, but I'm super excited to see it again!

Plus it's with my French Society xD Can't get much better than that!

You've (and my french society) have inspired me to watch Phantom the movie again.. I haven't heard the soundtrack in a while, and a friend was complaining to me how they use electric guitar (and I didn't know where she meant).

i heard that they closed on broadway and were going on tour! did you get tickets for the tour!!!!!?????

Yes!! I'm so flippin' excited for it!!

Oh, I know! There's a definate change in orchestrations b/w stage and film.

But stage beats film any day. It's just so beautiful!

i was supposed to go see West side story in august but the plans fell through. So instead im going to see A Steady rain starring Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig.:lovestruc

my favorite musical currently is Next to Normal
