Britrail Passes For Visiting London

We are going to be getting off a cruise ship in Southampton on Wed June 1st. I want to buy a Britrail London Plus Pass 2 out of 8 days for $99 and $85 for seniors. We are going to stay at a hotel near Gatwick on Wed 6/1 and Thurs 6/2. We are going to the theater on Thurs 6/2..
Can anyone who lives in London or takes Southern Trains, find out for me if this rail pass includes Southampton via Brighton to Gatwick Airport, and then the Gatwick Express to Victoria.
Also, can this britrail pass be purchased at Waterloo station?
We are taking the Eurostar to Waterloo station pre-cruise...
I think on the trip from Waterloo to Southampton, we will just buy same day tickets.

Not sure if Gatwick Express is included as it's a seperate franchise - see http://www.gatwickexpress.co.uk/

Again - Brit Pass looks as though it's opearted through a 3rd party so I would doubt if you could purchase this at any Rail Station - again, it may be worth dropping them an e-mail at info@britrail.net

Just found this on the Britrail site

These Passes are not available to buy in the UKor available to residents of the UK- they are designed specifically for International guests to the UK.

I thought they sounded too good to be true.

Thanks, I just ordered two passes. I want to prepay as much as I can before I go. I'm really getting socked by the exchange rate. We will be gone 18 days, and will be travelling to France, England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. We are so looking forward to our British Isles cruise, and our sidetrip to Disneyland Paris, and seeing "Mary Poppins, The Musical in London.
