British visitors not eligible for FP+-according to VH

I suspect the VH rep got their wires crossed and was thinking of Magic Bands - they wouldn't be the first person I've seen who think Magic Bands and FP+ are one and the same.

Magic Bands are not shipped overseas so you pick them up at your resort when you arrive.

This is VERY possible. Many people think that the magic band has some magic powers when in fact it is just a modified form of the KTTW card.

Pickers, I agree - the offshore out-sourcing doesn't assist matters either! Thing is, it's not just VH; even UK based travel agents are feeding clients a load of tosh about this.

I've been on the receiving end of VH wonderful customer service. Unfortunately they don't have their wires crossed, they are clueless. Even the so called disney experts at virgin parrot info from a out of date script that is incorrect. I have contacted VH and suggested they need to change the script to avoid loosing customers but I have heard no more....... I certainly would not book with them again after this years experience. Virgin told me fast pass + didn't exist, I would get my KTTW card and get paper passes at the parks ! When I said NO I'd get a magic band and need to link tickets to MDE I was called a liar amongst other things. So I bypassed them and sorted it myself. I used fast pass+ very successfully in jan/feb this year, bottom line don't believe what travel agents tell you, believe DIS!

Next time I'm organising it all myself. Unfortunately vh repeatedly lied to me repeatedly.

After telling Virgin they haven't a clue what they're talking about, :furious:they went away to 'find out more' - this is the reply I got.

MDE is currently rolling out and passengers will receive a letter 60 days before they travel with details of how to log in and their ticket numbers. Following this they will receive and email with a link to MDE and be able to log in from then.

So basically they still don't have a clue as I know some people are getting their numbers way before 60 days out.
:tinker:

With respect to the travel agents that do know something, even Disney is not coming across as having a handle on their own system right now, which quite frankly seems to me like their runaway train, I this is not looking good

If VH only give you your booking reference which is short with letters and numbers, you can use this on MDE to link your reservation.

Then on MDE go to My Account and down to Magic Bands. Here you will see your 12 digit Disney reference. This is displayed until you reach your deadline date to customise your Magic Bands.
