A computer breakdown delayed 2,700 international arrivals for several hours at the Orlando airport.
Paramedics treated several tourists who were overcome by the heat before they were given water and allowed to move to a bigger room.
The people were bused to a second terminal where the computers were working and bused back again for their luggage. Six children in wheelchairs on a flight from London were jammed in with the crowd. Most of the waylaid travelers were British tourists.
There was a lot of pushing and shoving as the delays stretched on. Some said they didn't mind the security precautions. They were just upset by the way they were treated.
