Just wondering what people find most appealing. I have read about making sure we have enough bottled water because it is so expensive in the parks. I have also read about a brita sport bottle. We have 5 in our family.
There is talk about the water at Disney and that some people believe they get sick from it. I imagine the brita would not help with this.
Just looking for other peoples experiences. Thanks.

We like bottled water, but we drive there, so it's easy to bring our own bottled water.

I don't know if a filter would help much with the "traveler's stomach" that you can get from drinking water somewhere else. The reason people get sick is because the water is different--not because there's anything actually wrong with it. It would still be different with the filter, but most people don't get sick with bottled water, and that's different, too.

one main reason I use the brita is that I drink water almost exclusively... that means more than one bottle per day. I hate having to lug around bottles and bottles of water, and I hate drinking tepid water.

With the brita, I have one bottle to lug, and I can always have semi-cold water refills from the water fountain.

The problem with traveler's stomach is that certain people don't have the tolerance for the different types in bacteria found naturally in different waters. Bottled water filters these out at the bottling plant, while the brita filter really doesn't filter out bacteria.

I personally have had no problems with water, even in Mexico... :teeth: so I think it really depends on the person.

We love using the Brita water bottles, they really get rid of the 'taste' of Florida water. We start out each day with the bottles filled with ice water from our room, then have refilled at 'fast food' places in the parks. Castmember's have always been more than happy to put fresh water in them for us.:D

I'm going with Brita water bottles on my next trip. I found that we would buy one soda or water each per day and then fill out of the water fountains. I didn't have any problem (except for the taste) drinking the water straight out of the tap, but I prefer not to. It is cheaper in the long run, figure if you bought two drinks a day for two days for each person then you have more than paid for the water bottles themselves.

I'm one of the lucky people that doesn't have a problem with the WDW water. But I have found that sometimes the water in the fountains is somewhat tepid and I hate handling something that is most likely germ ridden. I do have a Brita sport bottle. But, for those of you that use it all the time, a question. Are they supposed to be so hard to get water out of? I find I really have so try hard to get the water out. Is mine defective or am I not doing something correctly? What kind of an idiot can't get the water out of a water bottle:rolleyes:
