If nobody knew who Bristol's mother was everyone would have voted her off weeks ago.

What exactly are people voting for- she can't dance, she has not improved very much and has no personality. Some one please give me one legit reason for her making it this far.

First I would like to say that I really like Sarah Palin! However, Bristol has the personality of a rock. She's boring to watch....too bad she doesn't have the charisma and energy that her mom has.

Apparently, the execs of DWTS felt she had enough 'star' status to pursue her as a contestant on the show. I'm not sure how her situation is any different from others who have appeared on the show. I don't think any of the Bachelor/Bachelorettes came to the show with any particular accomplishments that deemed them a 'star', but it was still enjoyable watching them dance.

You may have missed my post pages and pages ago where I said the same thing. I said that Bristol isn't the first and won't be the last non-star to be on the show, and I dislike that any of them are/have been on it. My post that you quoted was only referring to the back and forth between pansmermaid... and somebody else where pans said at least Steve Wozniak had accomplished something, and they tried to twist it into "no child is a mistake". Shouldn't be surprised at that on the DIS!

The show should be named Dancing With the used to be Stars, reality tv wannabe stars and other people we know will bring the ratings stars! Very few people on the show are currently stars and they use this show to resuscitate their careers or branch out into main stream stardom. Bristol is well known and no different from some of the other people I had heard about even less about before the show .

I have often called it "dancing with the has-beens" or "dancing with the B-listers", but I do like "people who will bring in the ratings", especially this season.

Such a good point! ABC can pick and choose WHOEVER they want to choose as their "stars". And WE can vote for WHOEVER we choose. Others who are bitter, sore losers just need to get over it already...........................

Brandy cried last night, but really, she (nor any of the others eliminated before her) seem bitter or sore about it to me.

I just can't imagine having that boring and pathetic of a life that I had nothing better to do then to make up emails and vote for some stranger hundreds of times. Why? They are getting nothing out of it. They don't know the person and they aren't getting paid anything to do it.

I can't, either. What a sad bunch.

I really am not a fan of Sarah's, but I do think Bristol is a very pretty young lady. I can't comment on her dancing ability because I haven't been watching, but for some reason, I like Bristol. I guess because Levi is such a jerk and Bristol and her baby deserve much better.

In fact, I would have never even seen this show if my teenage dd hadn't started turning it on in our house. I get sucked in, because I do love dance.

I got hooked because the dancers and stars are all so likeable. Now I was not a fan of Brandy, she came on too strong for me but I was !!!stunned!!! when she was sent home. Bristol, who I think has done well for herself on the show, did not deserve to make it to the finals. She's had the lowest scores of any contestant and been on the bottom more than any contestant. Such a shame.

They have apologized. Apparently, it was an insult first about the new TV show their mom has. Talked about the dancing etc. Willow called the kid a slur that begins with F and ends in T. Bristol called the kid gay and insults were flying bad. Whole thing is just sad and frankly these kids were put in a pressure cooker and kind of left to the wolves. I feel bad for all concerned and I think at some point the parents need to be monitoring things a bit closer. I know when my son posts on facebook because I get his updates sent to my phone.
