Bringing outside food into Disney parks

Dear Forum,

I was just wondering if anyone know what kind of outside food can you bring into Disney Parks other than baby food

And if the parks allow food delivery from non Disney restaurants to the main entrance of the park (I know they don’t allow you to resell stuff inside the parks) but are you allowed to deliver takeout food and drink to the main gate of the parks?

On their official website it states as long as it is not alcohol or anything with glass containers it should be fine to bring into the parks

What if that’s say I order takeout/delivery Chinese food and Bubble Tea, am I allowed to bring it into the parks?

I believe Animal Kingdom doesn’t allow you to bring in drinks that requires a straw but it doesn’t mention any other restriction for other parks

If anyone knows the details could you kindly let me know exactly what outside Disney allow you to bring into the parks?

Many thanks for you help

You can bring in any food that is not in a glass container. If you want to bring in a picnic basket with fried chicken and potato salad, you can do that. Understand, there are not microwaves available or any way to reheat food. You cannot bring a cooler on wheels inside either. I have never heard of anyone having food delivered to the park, but if you can get the food brought there, you can bring it in. I think delivery would be difficult. The delivery person would have to pay $22 for parking before they could get in the parking lot, and the parking lots aren't really close to the park entrances.

AK doesn't allow straws because of the animals. You cannot bring alcohol into the parks.

I sincerely doubt you will find a food delivery service that will deliver to the front of a theme park. If you do, be sure to report back.
There are plenty of places that will deliver to your resort, which you could then take with you.
Other than the restrictions you already noted, plus rolling in a giant cooler and/or cooking devices, there aren't really any restrictions on bringing food in. I would not be surprised if this changed in the near future given recent developments, but that is just my personal speculation.
It can be a little challenging to find a place to eat, so make sure you take that into consideration when deciding what to eat.

The logistics of delivery would be crazy. Think about how long it takes you by Disney bus to get into a park. No delivery is willing to deal

You can bring in food, store it in a locker until you are ready to eat

There are no picnic areas in the park though. Tables in qs places are intended for those dining there. The best you can hope for is a bench or retaining wall in frontier land.

You've forgotten Tom Sawyer's island. There's a lovely picnic area over there that is a great spot for taking a lunch break.

We sometimes bring a backpack cooler into the parks with us, with waters and lunch. We make sandwiches in the room and bring chips, granola bars, etc. We love to eat on Tom Sawyer island when we are at MK. I don't think delivery would be practical.

Smarter overall to just add Park Hopper option and hop over to Epcot's Nine Dragons, or Animal Kingdom Yak & Yeti. Probably faster, too. Even if delivery were possible, you have to:
  • Order.
  • Wait for food to be prepared.
  • Wait for delivery driver to drive to TTC.
  • Wait for driver to make his/her way to Seven Seas Lagoon transportation.
  • Wait for driver to get through security.
  • Wait for driver to traverse the lake.
  • Wait for driver to find you.
  • Pay - including delivery charge, tip, and $22 parking.
  • Head back into park.
  • Find somewhere (like a curb or wall) to sit and eat.
There isn't anything in any MK restaurant you'll eat http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/disneydining.cfm#mk?

I did forget about the island. That is a great option, thanks for sharing

We often make sandwiches at the resort and bring them into the park. since spouse uses a scooter, we bring a small cooler with water or buy drinks.
