This is inkkognito posting on DH's PC:

I just found a map of the Aer Lingus A330 aircraft. We are in 47 H and K (which are actuallt next to each other), and it doesn't appear that there is a lav in the back of the plane. The good part of that is no people standing around back there is use it...bad think is I will have to go up 16 rows with my nervous bladder! It looks like the back is in front of a closet, the galleys and an emergency exit. Hopefully it won't be too bad back there.

Well folks, this is goodbye for me. My DD14 was diagnosed with autoimmune hemolytic anemia this week, required two blood transfusions and will have to be monitored closely for the next several weeks. There is absolutely no way that she can travel that far away for so long. She gets tired out just walking up the stairs. We have cancelled our cruise, contacted the insurance company, and shed a lot of tears. She seems to be doing better, time will tell. It has been a scary week.

I am sorry that I won't get to meet you. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday.

So sorry to hear your daughter is ill. my prayers are with you.

thought i'd done a great job packing. . .then i checked the bag's weight--gotta unload some stuff. . .hate packing! who's bringing more than 1 bag (per person???)

We are shooting for 4 suitcases for the 3 of us plus carry-ons. We seem to have alot so we will see. Didn't actully pack today but did a lot of pre-packing stuff. Had my son try on every pair of pants we have. 4 fit. I am debating if that is enough. Actully there are 2 more pairs of jeans that fit, I have on pair in the 4 but could add another? Is this enough? I expect he will be in shorts during most days and he can wear each pair to dinner a few time. i guess i could do laundry:scared1: or send them out to be washed if necessary.

I'll have 2 suitcases also - not going to worry about fitting everything this time around!

A few times, I found when I tried to take one suitcase, I bought souvenirs etc and had to end up buying a duffle bag etc to carry the extras home. When I did the 11 day last year, I took 2 small suitcases that fit in each other and put all my shoes etc in it. Coming home I was able to check one bag that had the shoes and had the extra one for the extras that I bought. Probably will do the same thing again.

Sorry to hear that you all won't be with us Val, but don't worry. You've made the right decision for all the reasons you mentioned.

As previously said the ship will still be here, the Atlantic's not going any where and us Disers will still be around for another long cruise.

Hopefully we'll see you on next year's repo or mayhaps on one of the new ships

Wish the best and a quick recovery for Rachel. As for Leia she'll have another trip to look forward to with big sister another day. Give her a big hug from us all.

We just got a nice gift from DVC for our upcoming trip-- a blue striped DVC ;logo'd terry bag that opens into a beach blanket. Now where to pack it?

One was delivered to us today as well. It was nice surprise. Unfortunately, I have no place to pack it so it will remain home.

I do want to go back to that one stand in Barcelona and pick up a few fans and shawls - they went over big and got a request for a few Christmas gifts.

That kind of shopping was nothing for me - you should see when I have my car down at WDW and hit the outlets!

Hi everyone

Wow less then a week to go and everyone is getting excited. I am taking a break after a 3 day Partylite conference - and before in a couple of hours I have 11 - 9 year olds coming for my dd's belated B-day party. Yup Glutten for punishment. I have so many things going on, that packing is on the bottom of the list - I know I will get it done, but it may be late Thursday night after our pedicure or Friday a.m. before we go. DH is complaining that he has to take a suit - I told him "Don't even go there" ... He usually sais he would rather stick forks in his eyes then wear a suit...Oh well - he is the one that decided to come along last week. Suck it up I say...;)

Denvergal - I am very sorry to hear about your daughter. It reminds me that no one really has any control over those kinds of things and we should all enjoy each day we have. We just don't know what God's plan for all of us is. I do believe that whatever road bumps we experience, those will make us stronger. I wish you and your family a quick recovery and when all is well again, I am sure you will go on the Disney Magic.

We are leaving Toronto on Friday, August 17, at 5:45 p.m. to Frankfurt and then connecting in Frankfurt on Saturday Aug. 18 at 10:00 a.m. or so Arriviing at 11:55. I know there are some DIS's on that flight!! Very exciting!!!

Fish Extender is finally done as is the door sign that my dd 9 made - she did an awesome job!!! FYI you will recognize our door by a picture of each of my and dh pictures of our licence plates "DVCMEMBR" and "DISNYNUT"

See you on Saturday!!

Well the packing is almost done. I checked my list and there are only a few things left to add. We are each taking 2 pieces and we were weighing them last night. We should even have room to bring stuff back, if we desire. I am trying to figure out about our vitamins amd meds. Do thry need nto be in original containers?

Today I am hosting a famiily birthday for two of my grandchildren. I guess one canker sore in my mouth was not enough :rotfl2:

So I had better run and pick up a couple things for the party.

Good Morning From So. CA
I hope everyone is having a splendid weekend.

Gee, I'm not sure about vitamins?? I take a lot of supplements and usually just package them up in plastic baggies. Hmmmm - maybe I should rethink that.
Packiing basically done - I'll do laundry Tues. am - then pack the last few things. Have a pedi Tues. am also. The only thing left on my list is to book a shuttle from Paris airport to my hotel.

Must run some errands - when I get back I'll post each bruch list and those who signed up for the afternoon tea.

It was all the glassware from Gibraltar that took up the room.
That stand by the Sagrada Familia did have nice souvenirs at reasonable prices.
