One year from today - it is now 3 PM in Barcelona - we will be just 1.5 hours from "all aboard":goodvibes:cool1::thumbsup2

No stragglers in this group - will be chillin out on deck 10 - waiting for the sailaway. (Or will that be life boat drill time?)

They may change the whole routine!

Whatever! We'll be there!

So, practicing my meager Spanish (which hopefully will improve considerably in the coming year):

Qué tiempo hace en Barcelona en agosto?

Es muy caliente.

Drats...I was hoping for hace calor or hace sol...muy caliente is just too much! (I don't like heat).

So someone here can help me with my Spanish, eh??? Cool!

Hace mucho calor en Barcelona en Agosto, lo siento. Pero no importa! Hasta la vista!

My family of five are booked to take the Magic home next summer! Cat 4 room. It's my families first Disney cruise and we can't wait. 2 of my sisters are also going ~ 4 in their party. This thread is awesome to get the chance to meet people ahead of time. Kids aged 20, 19, 16 and 14 going. Any tips for these ages? :dance3: pirate: pirate:

Welcome DisneyCCRN!!!!!!!! Nice to have you with us.

Hmmm....Advice for these ages..yeah -- don't let the 14 and 16 y/o roam free at night... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: there are teen packs on the ship, doing stupid stuff like climbing balconies and so forth...I always seem to run into them at 1AM...Just a thought!

Hello and welcome! My DD will be 14 on this cruise. Is yours a girl or a boy? Advice...if it's a girl, introduce them. If it's a boy, don't :rotfl2:

Depending on which kids actually decide to go I'll have a 21, 18 and/or 15 year old.

The teens will love the clubs.

Always good to have another RN on board :thumbsup2

A warm welcom to you and your family. pirate:

Welcome!

Have them go to the Stack the first night! That's when fast friends are made!

Thanks for the great reply's!
Dee47 ~ Yikes, I don't want to even think about them climbing balcony's - thanks for that heads up

Denverval ~ The boys (men?) are the 20 and 19 year olds ~ girls are the 16 and 14.

Eye RN ~ I saw your previous note re school. My 16 year old will be doing independent study for the first 2 weeks of school which makes hers an excused absence and getting full credit just like she was there. Do you have that option? I would think the band teacher would have to abide by that school policy of excused absence and keep her in the band.

One year from now we will be talking about or Gibralter ~ or Morocco ~ excursions!!!!

Yippee Morocco, how exotic.

My CM daughter is the twenty year old. My son will be 18 at cruise time so your kids should have someone to hang with.

As for the band teacher :furious: . . . .having already had a total of five years experience of him with two different kids, he is completely impossible. This man FAILED EVERY SENIOR taking his general music class last year. He knew they were taking the class to kill time (our kids have four period days so they need lots of electives) he also knew they didn't need the credit to graduate.

The only upside is the kids March at WDW about every other year :dance3:

My fondest wish is that my daughter doesn't follow in her older sisters footsteps. She did all four years :sad2:

Do you think there will be any Morroco excursions?

How Exotic!

But I do want to see the "Minkeys"!

I know we will be on the Magic, but will be in a port? :confused3

I haven't been paying attention to where we are going since DCL has a habit of changing their minds!
