I saw the preview of Lestat last nite -- I would definitely recommend it - some of the songs were incredible - Crimsion Kiss & More. Not in the same league as Wicked - but still very good.

And you would never guess who was there - one of my tablemates from the August PC repo  Dan - he was about 5 rows up from us - so waved to each other. Unfortunately - when the theatre let out - he was pushed in another direction.

For those doing the train - we are planning to try to get a group rate :cool1:

Hello everyone,

I am looking forward to meet all of you!! What a list!!! Wecome aboard BAP!!!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I'm not going to sit out getting involved this time. Mom2Belle&PeterPan is correct. My user name on cruisecritic was unalvailable for use here. Thank you Dalt Wisney for looking though. I'll be happy to share my user name there with you if you share your other user names with me. It's obvious that some people are here to just cause trouble. It's a shame too. This groups growing larfer by the day. Hopefully we'll get a chance to meet up on the ship. Has anyone ever planned a group meet while on the ship? Can't imagine having 16 months to discuss a cruise with such nice people. We'll be like old friends by the time we meet.

Might have to check it out if it ever comes to my neck of the woods!

Too bad you couldn't have met up!

And to answer BAP ~ I am planning a little get together! Wonder if the Cat 3 will hold 200+ people!?! :lmao: :lmao:

Usually, plan to meet in either the Promenade Lounge or meet up at Sailaway Party!

I have never posted on another discussion board. I met some DISboard members on our last cruise and they convinced me to come post here. They said people on the boards were nice and helpful. That did seem to be the case with the people on my cruise this year, everyone has been so great. I'm sorry if I sound paranoid, but I am new to this internet posting. I have a friend who had some bad things happen to her on the internet, so I am careful about what I do. If you really want to drop the subject, then drop it. I'll ignore the PM and we can all get back to planning our cruise.

We will not be going to DLP on this trip as we will be on the 8/8 cruise. We are planning to go to WDW for a few days after though. Staying at Grand Floridian. Anyone else?

I am currently considering Saratoga Springs through the holiday. DH has a bug in his ear about doing DLP, but I am more in favor of exploring Barcelona for a few days prior.

We are not planning to fly home until a couple of days - at WDW . Not sure what resort we will stay at - depends how many dollars left after the cruise.

Just booked a week for this Sept -- doing POP - to make it a cheaper trip, :goodvibes

We all understand the need for caution, and I apologize if we seem more familiar than you are comfortable with right now. I know you don't know any of us. However, many of us on this thread also sailed together on the Panama Canal repositioning cruise and got to know each other very well in the preceding fifteen months. We spent two wonderful weeks together onboard, and have never ceased talking to each other. We have exchanged phone numbers, addresses, gifts, those who live near each other (and even some who don't!) get together and visit.

Feel free to get to know us slowly, or plunge into a crash course by reading this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=560179 and/or the continuation thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=820216 Be warned! We did a LOT of talking!

We are looking forward to getting to know all the new "faces" prior to this exciting trip. :goodvibes

We're doing #50 this May, so I think the repo will be 56 or 57 (can't remember how many we have booked between now and then...I don't think it will be quite 60 though).

Some people have different user names on different boards, Dalt Wisney. So, I would not worry. :) This purpose of this thread is to have fun with fellow cruisers and plan an awesome Ship of Fools cruise! :) :cool1: Just ignore the PM you received if it bothers you. I can tell you, that I am pretty sure I know of the site the PMer is referring too, and that site is near and dear to my heart. There is nothing wrong with it. Many on this board frequent other boards. These cannot be mentioned here for many reasons that you can read in the procedural safeguards.

So, in the name of magic and pixie dust began by Walt Disney, would you mind letting this issue go, and let's all focus on THIS WONDERFUL CRUISE!!! pirate:

So, which port are you most interested in traveling too? Have you begun to look into airfares and flight plans for you and your family? Lots of planning and exciting times are ahead! Grab the Magic of it all, you will be glad that you did! :woohoo:

Just as I would never use just one recommendation before making a buying decision or hiring an employee, I NEVER use one website when planning something that is going to take up all of my vacation time and all of my spare cash for an entire year. That website is also near and dear to my heart but by all means use your best judgement. Many of us post both places (for as long as we can :stir: )

Never planned a group meet but did plan an "open house" tour of almost every cabin type from 1-12 including handicapped, secret porthole, secret verandah for SOF 1. ( another thanks to all who opened their cabins to that event) Gave me a great idea of what i wanted in the future cruises. There is alot you can do in 14 days with a cooperative group and a little imagation (but don't except another SOF room tour organized by eyern  )

Dee (eye R.N.) is a terrific organizer!!! :thumbsup2 pirate:

Well there has been talk of possible flight stop overs in Iceland, Finland, and Dublin! :goodvibes Now, that could make it even more exciting! :teeth: The possibilities are endless, but no matter what, the excitement is better shared! So glad you posting on the thread BAP! It was one of the best decisions my family and I made when we began our disney cruises. People who love Disney are a good breed IMO!

Happy planning everyone! Catch ya' all on the next posts!

On the 1st 10-night (Dec. 2004) we had a group meet -- several, in fact. For one of those, DCL "gave us" a photographer, who took the group picture (all 100+ of us), in the lobby in front of Lumiere's. The guy had to climb to Deck 4 and take the pic from above...It was fun!

I'd be happy to help plan some get-togethers on-board. We should try to have some Palo brunches in the private room -- it holds up to 14 people, so we'll obviously need more than 1 brunch. We did that on a couple of the cruises I was on.

I plan to fly into London (Keith HAS TO see the changing of the guards, or so he claims), take the Chunnel train to Paris, if time and money permits go to Switzerland, then train to Barcelona. My favorite train site, and I say this both as a part-time TA and an individual user, is raileurope.com. If you're going to go by train, raileurope is the way to go.

Thanks Dee! You did such I wonderful job on the tour! Fun was had by all!

Can I blame you for wanting that Cat 3! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I for one will be staying after the cruise at least until Monday! Have to get all that laundry done before we get back home! I will be spending a lot of nights after work trying to get things back to normal and catching up on things that were suppose to have been done and weren't! One good thing, whenever I mention the person they brought in last time to cover for me once again, it's a resounding "NO"! :cheer2: :cheer2: She was a lovely person but work ethics were definately lacking!

Plus, plan on meeting with fellow past cruisers who could not join us!

Dee you did an excellent job at this, and it was a lot of fun. I only wish I had more time to see all the cabins since we had to go to our Palo Brunch that day. I think we got to see the Cat. 1, Cat. 3 and Cat. 4 and then we had to go.

It was funny that we had 14 days on the ship but whenever I had something to do, there was always something else scheduled that I wanted to do too. Maybe this time, I can actually do some of the "tastings" and talks.

We had a photographer too, but had more than 100 people. In fact they had to use the 8 1/2 x 14 paper just to fit us all in the picture! I think our guy also had to go up to Deck 4 to take the picture.

We should do something like that for this cruise too since it's a great way to remember the cruise and all the people we met.

Yep, that's what I'm counting on. We'll see how she likes the clubs in September. Hopefully, we'll have some adult time then too. :cool1:

Why not Dee? You did a bang up job! Definitely a highlight of SOF. Please reconsider for SOF:PD. Pretty Please? ::yes::

BTW we have 2 Dees and 2 Ericas on this thread - gotta figure a way to distinguish them all!:confused3

Erica-ELF - you can change us on the list to 11 people, Cat 6. Thanx! :fish:
