Bringing bags on rides?

Are you allowed to bring anything on any rides? We wanted to carry a backpack with water bottles and a camera in the parks. Are there any rides where you can carry the backpack on, or is there somewhere to keep it during the ride and get it at the end? I know there are lockers, but if we didn't want to use a locker, any ideas? Thanks. :jester:

when we were there we had a problem with carrying even the smallest bag on the rides. Hulk we were sent to put our stuff in the lockers. would not let us carry them on. I would keep what I am taking to a minimum. A waste pouche seems to be over looked but a back pack will get you sent packing your stuff in a locker. These locker are only free for the first hour after that they make you pay. We were in the express line so we did not use up the first hour and the locker was free. But this is what happened to a group of young girls with the locker next to mine. They had to go to the normal ques and there wait in line was in excess of 90 minutes. When they got back to the lockers they had to pay to get their stuff out. And this is the worst part none of them kept any money out. They had to argue with one of the workers to open up the locker so that they could get their money out to pay. And she would only let one girl get her purse out. The one girl had to pay for the locker before the other girls could get their stuff out.
Carrying as little as possible is the way to go. Get one of those water tight cases you can put your tickets and money in. It has a string that you can put around your neck. Then when you get in line for the rides slip the box in side your shirt.
there we a couple of rides that did this but they escape me right now.

At IOA, you can't take your bags onto Dueling Dragons or the Hulk. Dueling Dragons lockers are free for 45 minutes and the Hulk for about 90 minutes. They only thing I've ever been able to take onto these rides is a small fanny pack. Popeye and Bluto's Bildge Raft Barges has a small area in the middle of the raft to store your gear and keep it dry. Jurassic Park River Adventure has lockers for about $1.10 an hour, but I've never had a problem bringing bags onto that ride. If you go on Pternadon Flyers, you need to keep your bag on the platform.

At USF at MIB, you're supposed to put your bags into lockers, but I've seen a few people slip by with bags. In that case, you need to put your bag on the hook or small pouch in the ride vehicle.

Every other ride I've put my bags on the floor or in the small pouch.

I was going to put my camcorder bag in a locker for when I went on MIB but the person in charge of letting people in Express line said I don't have to worry about putting my bags into a locker. They have hooks to hang your bags and even little pouches to put your smaller things in. I think the MIB lockers are free for the first 30 - 60 minutes. I THINK it's 60 minutes but you'll probably want to double check that! As far as other rides at USO...the bags are NO PROBLEM. I've carried a camcorder AND camera bag onto Earthquake, Back to the Future, MIB, Jimmy Neutron, Shrek, etc. Saw my aunt bring her backpack in Twister. So at USO...no problem.

IoA is a different story. They have a "bin" at Hulk but I don't DARE trust that! Don't need people stealing my stuff! But they do have lockers just like at Dueling Dragons.

Dr. Boom they have an area where you can set your stuff during the ride (and this includes small stuff like hats, glasses, cell phones which you don't want to lose). Popeyes has a compartment in the middle of the boat raft thing to put your stuff it. I recommend getting a poncho just for your stuff and wrap around your belongings before putting them in there because it does sometimes get wet in there and I'd like my things to stay dry! The Cat in the Hat has a pouch to put your belongings in front of you, as well as Spiderman. So these should be no problem. The other IoA rides I am not sure about.

The MIB lockers are free for 1 hour 15 minutes.

After that it's $2 every half hour (!) to a maximum of $14.

I am sorry they are called fanny packs. I found some for a dollar at the local "deals"store. It is a dollar store. You can also find them for plus sizes but you have to go to walmart or someplace like that. The one I have has three zipper pockets and a holder on the outside of the pack for a smaller size water bottle. plenty of room for putting your tickets and treats.

this is what I pack in them. For this you will need one sandwich bag preferably ziploc. I put 4 strands of red licorice. A handful of pretzel sticks, skittles (they don't melt easily), goldfish crackers, and 2 or 3 cookies. And one frozen capri sun. It works very well because you are not as tempted to purchase all the muncies through out the park because you have your sweet and salty treats with you to curb your cravings. This is great for the kids too. all you have to do is refill the bags each day. You will be surprised how this will help your budget. Very important no chocolate very messy.

Ok. I thought that you were talking about something different. You mentioned in your post something about a water tight pouch, with a string that you can put around your neck. I think this is something different from the fanny pack right?

sorry yes I bought mine at blizzard beach at disney . I think it cost four dollars. It is a little box with a latch and is attached to a string that goes around your neck. I read in one of the posts that you could purchase them somewhere in islands of adventure but I can not remember where.
I kept my passes, room keys and some money in them and it never popped open. Maybe someone else out there can post a reply with the name of them and where they can be purchased.
