We like a lite snack in our room and semi-healthy.
Most meals in the parks.

So if we bring Ritz crackers, Motz applesauce and Doles peaches (in own juice) both packed in snack pack size plastic containers..... will it be OK in our suitcase ?

Will TSA send a red-flag for out suitcase with applesauce and peaches?

Thanks!

No, that's fine to pack in your checked luggage. Liquid restrictions only applies to carry-on bags.

I would put them in Ziplock bags in case they get squished so it won't mess up your clothes. And don't forget spoons! :) I'm planning to bring some next month when we go. :cool1:

I would go one step farther and put into a large Tupperware container, just in case.

I agree that I would protect them in a hard sided container like Tupperware. We often use the $1 plastic shoeboxes for this purpose. And yes TSA will likely flag it and look in the bag. We always get a note that TSA has been in the bags when we pack liquid type food products.

Yes, it happens to us all the time because we pack mylar-wrapped protein bars, which we have been told look like explosives in the Xray. Good enough answer, so I pack pretty much anything that will fit into a gallon ziploc bag, in one. I separate everybody's undies and socks and put them in the bags, the protein bars, other food, etc. If TSA is going to open up my bag and dig through it, I don't want them touching everything. Plus they will see that my bag is on the up and up because they can see everything, and that I'm OCD. Ha ha. Love those Go Go applesauce packets, that would be a great little snack! Have fun!

I travel with food frequently to make sure I have healthy snack options. I usually pack things in a ziploc bag for insurance that I won't have spills, but I LOVE the idea of using a dollar store shoebox.:cool1: I'm gonna steal that one! I also agree that TSA will likely look in your bag, but in my experience they have never damaged anything and nothing was ever missing. I do pack using the extra large ziplocs (2 or 3 gallon? can't remember the size) and Eagle Creek packing cubes and envelopes, so everything is well organized and easy to see what's in there.

That's what I do too. The nice thing is that I stack the snacks on a shelf or drawer, then I have a box to collect all the receipts, stickers, pieces of confetti, and all the other little things my kids save throughout the week. :rotfl: And I have a sturdy place to pack any breakable souvenirs for the way home!
