Bringing a cardboard cup carrier

I am looking forward to our upcoming trip but still cringe at the number of times on past trips where I had to carry a flat tray and try to balance several cups of hot coffees on said tray from The Cove to our room. This has always been a juggling act with the danger of creating a big mess. This upcoming trip I plan to bring a leftover cardboard cup carrier that we received from a fast-food establishment to carry our morning drinks from The Cove to our room. Before I pack the cup holder I want to double check if this is still an issue. Is this still the situation, no cup carriers available, just flat trays?

Thanks!
Kate

No cup carriers, at least on our last cruise last May (or the one before in October)

What great advice!! Thank you!! I'm going to start saving them as of now!!

My aunt gave everyone a personalized Chickfila carrier one year for Christmas with lotions and shampoos in them... I suggested we take it with us during the great handle-less refillable mug debacle but my DH refused. I think it would be super handy in your situation though!

There were no cup holders/carriers or even trays on our cruise last month. Just carrying the plates of breakfast back to the room was a struggle. I had to make a second trip up to get drinks. From the second night on, we ordered milk cartons and a carafe of coffee from room service to be delivered in the morning.

I remember another thread on this awhile back with links to other drink carriers on Amazon. I know others have also brought drink containers from lets say Starbuck's or Mickey D's to carry both hot and cold drinks on deck.

Some people (not me.....no talent) cover the Chick-Fil-A type carriers w/ decorative duck tape. Logic tells me that that would make them stronger and maybe water proof so you could get multiple uses out of them.

No drink carriers on our last cruise. We bring one or two from QT. You can just grab as many as you need from their drink station. They come flat, so very easy to pack. They have 4 slots and they are SUPER strong. I have carried 2 full, large Tervis' and two disposable, full cups without ever feeling that it might give way. I also use it for the rolled napkins/silverware and condiments!

Write your name on it in magic marker.

We bring them each cruise on Disney because it makes it easier for 1 of us to get drinks for all 3 of us (my mom only has the use of 1 hand, and one of us is pushing the wheelchair so 1 person carrying all 3 drinks is a necessity). On our first cruise, we only had the 1 and it got knicked the second day (probably by our room steward) and funny enough, they had one in Cove Café (I have a strong suspicion it was ours).

Now I write our name on it (and sometimes our cabin number on the bottom) and I always bring 3-4 of them for a week cruise.

I need to remember to bring one for our upcoming cruise! I am the official coffee/hot chocolate person each morning and this would make it soooo much easier.

I keep thinking the cardboard cup carriers would make great fish extender gifts, especially if someone has the talent of decorating them. :)

Yes! I have never received one but I've seen lots of people doing it for thier FE.

I would very much like to have a handless mug if you'd like to get rid of one! The handles don't fit in my car cup holder! Went in December and were told none were available. :(

Have seen these before

Yes, we save the cardboard ones from McDonald's and pack a couple -- easy to do as you can use the slots for socks, etc in the suitcase. Makes carrying more than one drink so much easier and you don't have to bring a family member to help.
