Bringing 2 Year Olds to WDW!! (Long)

We were nervous about taking our 2 yo son last Nov. with his 4 & 10 yo sisters. No worries, I think he had the best time of anyone! He stills talks about the trip & things he saw there. He's an easy going kid anyway, I would never have taken his 4 yo sis at that age. A lot depends on the kid. We had planned to leave for naps but most days they did so well we just stayed. We brought our double stroller & they crashed there when needed. A little bulky on the trains but worth it imo.

He & 4 yo DD hated POC, he loved Buzz & she hated it. Again, she is extremeley sensitive & temperamental to begin with. The Magic Carpets ride was the absolute fav of all 3 non-daredevil kids.

Definitely hooked & trying to convince hubby to go back this year! Have a great trip!

This is my first attempt at a discussion board or chat room, so please bear with me...I'm starting to catch on to some of the abbreviations...

I'm a bit nervous about trying to manuever two strollers around on the tram, monorail, etc. I know we need a stroller for both of them though. Those umbrella strollers don't have baskets for carrying things and my other stroller is so bulky!! I have no idea how we can manage two strollers and luggage in the airport, but I really don't want to rent a stroller either! Has anyone seen those strollers with the seat in the back? The older child can sit or stand on it. If anyone has used one, what do you think?

I'll have to look into the harness, I'm just afraid DS will try running off in one direction and will be yanked back like you see in a cartoon!

Can't wait to go! April 15-22nd. :)

First, I have 2 DS's, and I know I will get flamed for saying this, but I do not believe that any family should take a child under the age of 5 to a major theme park such as WDW. The amount of attention a small child needs takes away from what you can do during the day, and with what a trip to WDW costs, I just do not believe it's worth it. Also, we as adults retain so many wonderful memories from our trips, but a small child will retain nothing. Wait until they are about 6, then plan as many trips as you can until they no longer want to travel with you. JMO

Do you take your kids on other vacations?

I am not going to flame you, but I never understood the "they wont remember" comments.

Do your kids remember everytime you tickeled them? Everytime you gave them a gift? Every other trip you take them on?

I know my DS wont remember his first trip (he has 9 months old) & he probably wont remember his second (20 months old), but my DH & I will.

But he also wont remember our trip to Build A Bear yesterday, or the time I took him to see The Wiggles, or when we walked through the park this morning.

Even though my DS does not remember everytime I make him smile, show him some magic, whatever, he still experiences the JOY at the moment, and so do I! And they are memories I will always have.
