Wow, I'm getting deja vu reading your update! :rotfl:

I could not believe how long the wait was for the Sum of All Thrills!

I love that Lion King topiary! So beautiful. :goodvibes

LOL, I told you our paths crossed! I'll never do Sum of all Thrills again!!! Oddly, at Christmas, when the crowds were so much worse, the wait was a lot shorter at Sum of all Thrills, because they were running both sets of simulators. DH & BIL only waited ~25 minutes in December.

I have a lot of pictures of the Lion King topiaries, I just  them.

Love your topiary pictures. I wish we had taken more pictures when went in 2007.

Thanks for the advanced warning on Sum of all Thrills. I don't do round and round or simulators. A definite no go for me.

I wish we would've known about each other before our trips so we could've met up!

Definitely avoid Sum of all Thrills if simulators upset you... or at least, don't try to make a really extreme roller coaster like DH & I did... :scared:

Me too! Well, there's always July! ;)

Monday, March 15, 2010 - Afternoon (con't)

As we continued our walk through the World Showcase, we seem to have stopped exploring the countries in favor of taking pictures of F&G topiaries. :confused3

We made our way back to the International Gateway - it was finally a nice afternoon, and we wanted to take advantage of the great pool at Beach Club! I'm including some pictures of the pool area here, even though I took these later in the trip. The pool at Beach Club, Stormalong Bay, has a sand bottom in parts, and also has a lazy river!

We spent a couple of hours in the pool & hot tub, then headed back to the room to shower. We still had FPs for Test Track to use, and it was getting close to dinner time. Our plan was to run back to Epcot to use the FPs, then return to Beach Club to eat dinner at Beaches & Cream, and then... we didn't know. Of course, plans never quite work out!

We were back at Epcot between 5:30 & 6. We headed first to Test Track to use the FPs... I took a picture of Spaceship Earth as we sped around the track, but I can't find it in my photobucket.

After TT, we took a few more pictures of topiaries as we headed back towards the IG:

As we passed the UK Pavilion, we noticed that Off Kilter would be playing in ~20 minutes, and almost no one was waiting. We staked out some seats to wait, since I really wanted to hear them. After a few minutes, the smell of fish & chips began to overwhelm us, and we decided to get some for dinner while we waited for Off Kilter. I saved our seats while DH went to get in line - he was gone for a LONG time, so the line must have been really long. Some ducks came up to watch Off Kilter, too:

Soon, it was time for the performance. First, some photos:

And then, some video (I hope this works, I've never posted video from photobucket before... )

About this time, we noticed that the camera battery was dying again - it had been fully charged this morning, and used to last several days/several hundred photos before dying. We realized we need to replace that battery before our next trip. Since it was still fairly early - not even 7 - we decided to head back to the room to charge the camera for a bit, and then figure out where to go next.

Where would we end our night? And will we run into any DISers when we go?

Michelle, your pictures are great!
It's so much fun reliving the trip through your pics especially from various angles!
Ohhhh SAB....
Just a little over a month....
Can't wait to see you guys.
We need to plan a meet over a meal or at least a CS....
A slushie for sure!
:thumbsup2

I'm jealous that you'll be able to use SAB in the summer! I'm still trying to get our June ressie changed to somewhere other than SSR - the waitlist hasn't come through yet for VWL, so I'll call tomorrow & check some other resorts that use the same # of points. ;)

We'll definitely do a meet over some food. Our only dining ressie for the June trip is breakfast at CP one morning before the MK opens... I think while you guys are still on the cruise. So we're open to pretty much anything. :)

Perhaps we could plot to get you into SAB....:rolleyes1

It dawns on me that this might not be that difficult... when we used the pool in March, only DH had to show his KTTW card for both of us to get wristbands.... :rolleyes1

Something tells me the Disney World 'higher ups' have you on their radar, what with all of your PLOTTING! :)

MeMom is probably right about this though... we'll have to be careful! :rotfl:

Finally getting caught up - work got in the way!!! Loving all the updates and seeing all the F&G pictures is making me super excited about our trip in 2 weeks! Keep the updates coming!

I'm going to try to get 3/15 done tomorrow... hoping to get my photopass CD before I get too much further though! :) I'm glad you're enjoying the photos - I can't wait to see your photos when you get back!

Monday, March 15, 2010 - Evening

After returning to our villa and plugging in the camera to charge, we decided to head back out... to Magic Kingdom! This was the last day our annual passes were valid, and we wanted to take advantage of it! :cool1:

Before heading out, I sent a text to wigd, asking if jewjubean was working, since we were headed to her workplace. Wigd responded that she was, and that she'd be somewhere around TTA or Stitch most likely. We decided we'd look for jewjubean when we arrived at MK to say hello.

Our timing tonight was horrible. We arrived at MK right as Spectro started, so the crowds near the front were absolutely horrible. It was also an EMH night, so there were tons of people just arriving. :sad2: We managed to make our way into the stores on the right side of Main Street, and wandered through the shops as we made our way towards the castle. I believe we purchased a caramel apple in the Confectionary on Main Street, and then we sat down on a bench on one of the "side streets" between stores to eat it. DH had never had a caramel apple before! It was really good, but much too sweet... we managed to eat the whole thing anyway, though!

Finally, Spectro ended, and we made our way out on to Main Street. We'd left the camera in the hotel room, so the only photos I have of the evening (until the photopass cd arrives) are these two from my phone:

We found ourselves a spot to wait for Wishes, since we'd never seen the "regular" version - the first time we'd ever watched Wishes was on the December trip, and that was the holiday version. The wait wasn't long, and our view was pretty good - we were just to the right of the hub, almost right under where Tink flies at the start of the show.

The crowds thinned out considerably after Wishes ended, even though it was an EMH evening. We made our way towards Tomorrowland to look for jewjubean. We decided to head up to TTA first, but there was no jewjubean there. We enjoyed our quick tour of Tomorrowland, and while we were riding along, I spotted jewjubean outside of Stitch. We headed over there to say hello when we got off of TTA. The three of us chatted for a few minutes, and then DH & I headed out to wander around MK.

I'm not entirely sure what we did! I know we rode Space Mountain, but beyond that, I have no idea. We left MK just before midnight, and headed back to our villa.

Our next day was scheduled to be a down day - the APs expired, and only one park ticket left on our non-expiring ones from several trips back. How would we spend our day? And yes, there will be pictures in the next update. :)

Yes there will be pictures in the next update, you should have a small package in your mail tomorrow!
You have lots of great pictures to share with everyone!
