Bring Your Own Towels?

Does DCL provide towels at the pool, CC...what about beach excursions?

Yes they do. There are towels found near the pools in large wooden bins. They are small, but you can take as many as you need.

As you disembark at CC, they are handing them out there, the same goes, you may take as many as you need.

On DCL excursions, they hand them out as well. If not, you can always go poolside to get some. If you are leaving the ship on your own you can go poolside as well.

They do sell some gorgeous large ones aboard. I don't pack towels as I have enough to pack...I know many DIS'ERS buy them on the ship as souvenirs for themselves..

I never pack beach towels. We always use the ones on the ship (they are small so we take two per person). BUT...I buy a new beach towel on every trip. I use it after my shower to wrap myself in and then add it to my ever-expanding collection when I get home. It may seem like an innocent little souvenir purchase, but it's a sickness I tell you, a sickness!

the ones provided are pretty small and the beach towels they sell run around $22...

Dont bother packing your beach towels and taking up space for other things. The ones they offer aren't very big, but they get the job done, it just might take a few!

If your excursion requires you to get wet or on the beach, they do provide the towels, so leave room in your bags!

I have two Disney beach towels I've gotten on previous trips so I will probably get whatever they have on board and CC... I use them after I shower and at the pool, so it's a good thing for me to get.

I love using them at home as it reminds me of my last trip and gets me excited for my next one. I have regular towels that coordinate but they are mostly for show! I use a DCL or WDW beach towel as a bath sheet every single day. I tell you...it's a sickness.

On our maiden voyage I bought four (4) beach towels and had a heck of a time getting them into the bags for the trip home.

Beach towels are one of my favorite souveniers. My towels remind me of a happy day on Castaway Cay whenever I seem them.

I brought our own on our last 7 day cruise as I was convinced I needed them and no-one could tell me otherwise. I didn't need them - use the ship's!

Very important point - using after the shower - not on the sandy beach!! Even when we have bought the beach towels to bring back we use the DCL ones for the beach.
