Bring us a Shrubbery!! May 25-June 1, 2007!!

Lovely pedi and your rings are beautiful!!! I had a pedi last week and two toes smudged immediately. Went back, got them fixed, and one of them smudged again! I give up! LOL It was still heavenly!

Brenda for President -- Laisse le bon temps rouler

But of course! You'd get the Louisiana vote for sure!

I just made my ADR's for our November trip this AM. Please peruse and give me your wisest opinion.

11/16 Chef Mickey (before MVMCP)
11/17 Coral Reef (so Mark can eat with the fishes)
11/18 Le Cellier (w/o my DS, who is also a Jay -- he goes to Neverland Club for the evening.)
11/19 Kona Cafe

June, if I can hijack Brenda's thread for just a moment? We just returned and you listed our top 3 favorite meals! We went to Chef Mickey's last trip and not this one, but it was a fun, crazy, character-laden, buffet with okay food. Kind of a hyper-active atmosphere. However, the other three are excellent choices. Coral Reef has wonderful atmosphere and the food was good. Some things were better than others, but the lobster soup was my hands-down favorite of any appetizer for the week! DD liked the cod cakes, and the chocolate wave was super. Le Cellier had scrumptious steaks. The atmosphere isn't anything special, but the food is all good. The steaks were very good and very well cooked. It was a close second for me to Kona, which was THE BEST food of the week. Their filet was to die for - great meat, cooked perfectly, and the potatoes were yummy too. The crab cakes were outstanding. And the Kilauea Torte was magnificent! (DH said the cheesecake was good too!) Okay I have run out of adjectives, so let me just say you made GREAT choices!!

Brenda your pedi looks lovely very pretty colour, and your rings are beautiful too :thumbsup2

Love the toes, love the rings, love the wedding picture! I just, um, camouflaged my grey hairs, and have an eyebrow wax on Friday... Beautification is part of the Disney experience, right? :)

Oh my, I just made it through all 30 pages. 30 pages!!!!! I am impressed - and I'm not easily impressed. Wow! A blue car...

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I love that Simpsons episode! I could totally hear Homer in my head saying that as I read it your post! Thanks, Joh! :lmao:

OK, where was I? What can I say - you're going back which means a double dose of trippies :woohoo: I thought I was sensible making sure I have a trip 'in hand' - always be planning the next trip before you return from the current trip - but you have got it perfected. Not only have you a trip (well, 2 actually) in hand but you manage to overlap your trippies too, so you are either writing, tripping or planning - and most of the time all 3 :rotfl:

I'm not sure how it ended up this way - it usually doesn't, honest! But at the rate I'm going I may have something to send to a publisher soon... :rotfl2:

Really, I am only jealous that you have 30 pages of responses and I have a measly 4 replies on my pre-trippy :sad2: I am ready to admit defeat and stick around here to wait for news of your latest adventure - hope you have a ball :thumbsup2

Oh, no...no slacking on your part young lady! It always takes a little time for people to jump on a TR and then you'll see just how much your fellow DIS-ers are reading yours. It's great - so keep on writing! And thanks for taking the time to check mine out, too. :flower3: I love it when people pop in to say hello or offer suggestions or take things off on a totally different path... it's fun! :goodvibes

Don't you hate that? I usually end up with a pedi-smudge, too, but this time I had a driver (thank you DH) and by the time we were home the nails were dry.

Thanks for stopping by - I know you are busy getting ready to leave, too. Have a great trip!! :goodvibes

But of course! You'd get the Louisiana vote for sure!

Excellent! But just in case, let's get the word out that I love Cajun music, brandy milk punch, creole cream cheese, touring the Louisiana back-country, and listening to jazz at Preservation Hall. My husband will take care of eating all the spicy offerings since my delicate intestinal tract can't handle them. ;)

Hijack away -this is an open forum! You share what you know and everybody gains from it. :thumbsup2 You are the third person this week who's had great things to say about Coral Reef... dare I try to play with the ADRs even more??? :scared1:

Brenda your pedi looks lovely very pretty colour, and your rings are beautiful too :thumbsup2

Thanks so much Jo. :flower3: If I could I'd get a pedicure like that once a week even though I don't need it. So relaxing...:cloud9:

Love the toes, love the rings, love the wedding picture!

Thank you very much.

I just, um, camouflaged my grey hairs, and have an eyebrow wax on Friday... Beautification is part of the Disney experience, right? :)

Yes indeedy-doodie! I've had my facial...had the eyebrow arch worked on...had the hairs trimmed (gray is starting to peek through my last high-light session...looks like I'm going to have to go in soon for another treatment)...just had the pedi...even went for a 2-mile walk earlier to try to get the body into vacation-mode a little more quickly.

Disney is always beautiful for us, it's only right that we try to do the same for it. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hurry up and get to Disney World already! And while you're there, could you ask the crowds to go away, and the weather to be nice, so I can go in a couple of weeks? Much appreciated!

What oh what will I read while you are gone?

I'll do what I can. ;) So I take it this means that you are going to WDW in June now... the last time I checked you were...then you weren't...then you were maybe... woo hoo!! You get to go back to WDW!!

What oh what will I read while you are gone?

You're so kind...:goodvibes You can work on your pre-trippies...you will have two now, right? ;) And there are some really good reports out here - you'll have plenty to keep you DIS-busy. :thumbsup2

BTW - I'm going to try to find Plankton's spot at DTD just for the fun of it. If it's still there, we'll get a picture with Plankton just for you!

You and Crystal can coordinate security and bar patrol - how does that sound? Dessert is included!

Sounds fair to me.:woohoo:

Paddles? Are you telling me that my size 7s are too big? :confused3

And...you're going to put my feet on a sheet of magnetic paper and slap it on your son's cabin door come October?

Well, this way at least part of me will be on the cruise ... :rotfl2:

No, B, not too big. I just always called them "paddles" instead of feetsies.

And yes, Tony would freak out if he see's anyone's feet on his door!!:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

It's still maybeish, but hopeful! I suppose I should make up my mind SOON!

Brenda, I just wanted to wish you a bon voyage -- I'm leaving for a trip tomorrow and won't be back until you've left. I am *so* wishing I were leaving for WDW tomorrow for vacation...Instead, I'm leaving for Austin for a week of work. I am consoling myself with the fact that I do love Austin...and I'll be fitting in some music and alcohol on Sixth Street, for sure...;)

Happy Anniversary -- I hope you guys have a wonderfully romantic experience at V & A. You just seem like the cutest couple. And Happy Belated B-day to Jay as well.

HAVE FUN!!!!!! :goodvibes

Hi Brenda, this is Jordan, Michelle's daughter. :wave2: I hear you're heading to WDW on Friday - AND you're going to the Chef's Table~! You have to say hi to Aimee for me and my family. We love her so much! I hope we get to go back someday. You guys are going to have a great time. I'll catch up reading your TRs while you're gone. I look forward to hearing about your trip when you get back! It's nice to meet you! :goodvibes

Thanks so much - and you have a safe trip, too. We've never been to Austin but I've heard it's actually a pretty hoppin' place. I hope you are able to get in some fun times even if you are there for work.

Awwww, thank you very much. We are both like little kids when it comes to that ressie at V&A...just can't wait. It's like the rest of the trip is secondary to that.

As for us being a cute couple I say thanks and Jay said, "We sure fooled her!" ;) And he also thanks you for the b-day wishes. :goodvibes

Hi Jordan, thanks for stopping by and happy graduation by the way! :goodvibes

I've already written myself a note so that I don't forget to tell Aimee hello on your family's behalf. I hope she's there - I've read so many good things about her from your mom's reviews that I'd love to meet her.

And we are so excited about the CT - we loved watching the video your mom shared with everyone from your Christmas Eve dinner. Everything looked so delicious. :thumbsup2

Thanks again for stopping by - it was good to "cyber-meet" you too! :goodvibes

Thanks for the vote of confidence! I'm not expecting a lot from CM except to make my 4 year old happy! The others are all for me and my DH (boy gets to come to 2 of the other 3!) and hopefully swaying my DH how wonderful WDW is! You see, he's never been in 48 years.... He's not even a fan. But he will go with me to make me happy! I haven't been to WDW in 5 years and am WAAAAYYYY overdue! I used to go 4-6 times a year before that (some years even more!) when I was single.

Brenda --

Have you changed any ADR's? I keep tinkering with everything!! I've started to think maybe I should switch my room ressies to the Dolphin/Swan, since they have Teacher discounts and it would be closer to Epcot/MGM, but I do love the CBR and DH thinks it looks like our honeymoon in Grand Cayman!

And make sure you drink a Slushie from France for me! Your pick! I promise to return the favor in November!

June, the only ADR I have changed for this trip is the one we had for Blue Zoo for 5/28 - I changed it to Flying Fish for the same evening.

Everything else is the same as it was when I made the ADRs back in late November.

As for the hotel, if it were me I'd switch only because I love staying in the Epcot resorts and being within walking distance of so many wonderful restaurants, not to mention being able to get to Epcot and MGM so quickly!

But...if staying at CBR helps the hubby warm up to Disney, then I guess you'd better stay there.

But then again...maybe the convenience and variety of staying in the Epcot / MGM complex will win him over.

Hmmmm...so many possibilities. ;)

I have my marching orders and I wouldn't want to disappoint, but something tells me I'll be drinking both. :rotfl2:

I have to tell you, today started off as a really crappy Monday, mostly because I did something really stupid and then tried to rectify it by getting to work at an ungodly hour only to be mocked by the traffic gods at every turn.

Cursed...that's what I am! :headache:

And then about 11AM this morning my phone rang and it was someone from Victoria and Albert's calling to verify our chef's table reservation for next Tuesday evening!

:yay: :yay: :yay:

Even though we won't be able to eat it that night, I ordered an anniversary cake. The stuff from the GF bakery is sooooo yummy and we can eat it for breakfast for the rest of the week. :thumbsup2

And the whole rest of my day was brighter from that point on. Isn't that silly? :goodvibes

4 more days - woo hooooty hoo!!!

No, not silly at all. So, can you taste that foie gras yet...

XTRDay11-58.jpg

One week to go before you'll be savoring every delicious mouthful! :goodvibes What kind of cake did you order? We had a white chocolate marble cake from the GF bakery in December and it was excellent! I'm so excited for you! This week will fly by and before you know it, you'll be strolling around World Showcase... ahhhh... :cloud9:

Woohoo, nothing like a call from Disney to brighten up your day. Not long to go now - are you packed?

You said squeeee!
Jhonen Vasquez fan? Or merely coincidence? :3dglasses

4 days - sweet.

I ordered the vanilla cake with the vanilla mousse filling and the white and dark chocolate swirled topping... yum!

By Saturday we should be Epcoting it... watch out slushy cart, we're coming to getcha! ;)

Packed... I wish. We won't pack until we get home from work Thursday night and I get the laundry finished. Stupid work always getting in the way of stuff...;)

Although I do know who you are referring to, my comment did not spring from his comic strip (although maybe it should have???). I just liked the way it felt when I typed it. :rotfl2:
