This might be an obvious question to some but I have never had to bring my own snacks. Are you even allowed to? We have Deluxe Dining but we are bringing my 2 yr old and she eats particular snacks. :)

YES.

There is no problem with bringing in snacks. When our kids were younger, we always had snacks handy.

Sometimes a small snack, box of raisins etc is a good diversion for a bored or fussy toddler in line
Saving money nice too, but the quick diversion was great with my granddaughter. Well worth packing a few.

When are kids were younger this was an important thing for us as well. Little ones can be picky! Easier when you have a stroller to carry things in, we learned that once we were just carrying in a backpack with our walking children, many snacks would get pretty mangled in the backpack! :crazy2:

Guests are allowed to bring food items—such as snacks or foods that do not require heating—into Disney theme parks.

Mostly definitely no problem. We generally pack a whole lunch.

AWESOME! Thanks! I would have gotten the third degree if there were no "puffs" available! haha

We bring lots of snacks in our luggage from home for my nieces and nephews. They are usually things that they don't get at home like Ring Pops, little packages of Oreos, snack pack Peanut M & Ms, bags of chips, as well as some healthier options like granola bars, peanuts, raisins. Each kid on the trip is allowed to pick 1-2 snacks for me to purchase, but once we get there they are up for grabs for anyone including the adults.

When we get to the hotel, we designate one drawer as the snack drawer. The kids can take as many snacks as they want into the park, but they need to carry their own snacks either in their pockets or a cinch bag. They can eat the snacks when ever they choose, but once they are gone they are gone. My oldest niece used to eat all her snacks in the first hour at the park because she slept too long to get breakfast! I would say typically everyone takes about 3-5 snacks.

The kids look forward to having the extra "treats" that they don't normally get at home and this method gives them some control over what and when they eat. Eating snacks in a ride line or while waiting for a parade alleviates some boredom and stops the "I'm hungry" complaints. I also don't like wasting time in long food lines if I don't need to.

I always bring "kid friendly" snacks, things like Puffs, goldfish crackers, teddy grahams. I have never seen things like that in the parks. Besides eating those as an actual snack those are good if you have to wait extra for an ADR or your food to come out.

Even on the dining plan, we still take little bags of snacks into the parks. Having a stash of almonds or crackers can make or break a tantrum for the kiddos!
