We'll be at BC for the first time beginning 9/15. Really looking forward to relaxing at SAB and on the beach. Question: Can we bring our own beer into the SAB area? I know they serve drinks there, but just want to know if we can bring our own from the room instead. Thanks!

I don't know for sure but I would think it would be okay if it were in a plastic cup. I am sure they won't allow glass in the pool area. How would they know the difference between your beer and beer sold at Hurricane Hannah's providing it's in a cup?

Maybe "princeoftheives" will know the answer to that one. I think he is a lifeguard there right now.

When er were there in June SAB was busy and it took a relatively long time to get a round of drinks. So we brought a small cooler, about 5-6 cans size to SAB and no one approached us about it.
I don't recall seeing any signs prohibiting this. Glass is not allowed.

When we there in August, we purchased a six pack of CoorsLight at the store at the BC. $(9.00 or close to it) We then brought 2 or 3 cans with us to the pool. They do sell cans at the pool bar. (5 or 6 dollars) There were a lot of people bringing their own cans too.

I saw coolers while I was there a few weeks ago. Note that you cannot be near the water with any type of drinks. Also, the beachy area is not as huge as I thought it would be (but it was great...don't get me wrong). There is alot of shallow sandy water for small kids to play in, but for just sand, there isn't enough for adults to spread a towel out on and sunbathe.

It's an awsome pool, though, and worth staying at the BC/YC just to be able to use it!

Also...I brought in a 20 oz Pepsi and drank it at the tables at Hurricane Hannas and no one said anything. (We also bought stuff from there at the same time).

There is a sandbar sticking out from the left (near the middle of the pic), and more sand shown at the top of the pic, sort of nestled in those palm trees. The rest of the pool does not have sand you can sit on like a beach. (hope this helps)
