Bring own cake/tables?

This may be a big no, no but if we are having a wishes wedding reception at the Summer House at the Grand Floridian, could we bring our own cake? I was wondering if the rules were different at a resort but I doubt it.

Also, what about bringing in our own tables? I’m not sure how much cocktail or tall boy tables cost from Disney but I bet we could find them cheaper somewhere else. Thanks for the help!

Hi! We are having our reception at GF, and were told we were not allowed to bring in our own cake. According to our consultant, Disney does not let you bring in any outside food. As far as the tables, I have no idea! I know we are bringing in chairs from an outside vendor, so I don't see why tables would be any different? Hope this helps!

That would be correct on the cake. Besides GF does FABULOUS cakes ! You won't be disappointed.

As for tables and chairs, can't help you on that one.

Doesn't seem like it will be a hassle at all, we are going with A Chair Affair, and they have done several Disney weddings before. They will handle all set up and break down. Disney definitely encourages to go through them for everything, but you can use outside vendors for pretty much all of it except food.

You'll need to check with your planner on using an outside vendor for tables at the Summerhouse. Disney prohibits outside vendors for floral and decor at outdoor locations, and tables and chairs may fall under that restriction.
