Bring Back the TTA Soundtrack!

The new soundtrack on the TTA (or as many still call it: The Wedway People Mover) is dull and lacking personality. And the weak male voice only underscores the need to restore the former soundtrack with its confident "Now Approaching Mickey's Star Traders" alert. And what about that delightful female voice that warned us to keep our "forward facing tentacles" in the car. "Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow?" Gone.

Not every WDW change is a positive one.

I was also disappointed to hear that they changed this. We love this ride. The kids ask to ride it 3 to 4 times each time we visit. They crack up over the things that it use to say, like the one you references paging Mr. Morrow...Mr. Tom Morrow. I actually just chuckled writing it.

I agree 100%. In fact, I went to WDW in early October with a friend. His last name is Morrow and is first name starts with a T (but is not Tom). That part of the TTA was his and his family's favorite part of the ride. When we discovered on our trip that the soundtrack had been changed, we were both deeply disappointed.

I'm sad as well. That was my favorite ride when I first went in '76, and has always held a special place in my memory. DW and I loved the announcements. Maybe a change will be made before our next trip.

Uh oh, this is DH's favorite ride ever. He would really miss the soundtrack so I will just hope it is back for our trip.
On a side note, he told me last night that if the TTA was closed during our trip he would seriously reschedule the entire trip.

Rode this last night and it was ridiculously lame listening to the ads for the various attractions in that area.

It used to be like one was on a tram at a futuristic spaceport or something. The new audio sounds so antiseptic and uncreative. The long stretches of silence were much more preferable.

I was just listening to the old soundtrack of TTA today on one of the Disney-themed Live365 stations, and it made me so sad. I swear, since Disney loves making money so much (and I can't fault them for that) they need to put out a "Soundtracks to Rides We Screwed Up For No Conceivable Reason" CD. It could include the TTA, Spaceship Earth, and El Rio Del Tiempo, for starters. It would sell like hotcakes.

Ick! When did this change? We were there 9/15-9/23, rode the TTA twice and had the old soundtrack.

Wow that is really disappointing. The TTA is my favorite ride and the soundtrack for it was awesome. I will be very disappointed if it is different on my next trip

Bummer! I was afraid that they would change it when they did the refurbishment. I LOVE TTA!!!

Sorry, I had to be so dramatic. My DH will be VERY disappointed to hear this. It, too, is his favorite ride. It is so darn cute when he spouts off his TTA impression.

You are, indeed, fair to withhold your judgement; however, if you "loved the old soundtrack" you will loathe this one.

The new soundtrack is a major mistake. We expressed our concern to four CMs who were standing at the attraction's entrance today. Each of them agreed that the former soundtrack was superior to the current one. One CM even delivered some of the TTA's most memorable lines for us (although we knew them all anyway!). We will express our concern at Guest Relations tomorrow...as in Tom Morrow!

It's so incredibly generic and BORING now... worse than boring, annoying -- just one commercial after another for stuff in the area. BLERK.

I agree! The new one is really bad. We tried it for the first time last night and not only did we ride most of the ride in silence, but the audio that was there was incredibly dull. It completely lacked the charm of the old audio.

This change is a definite flop!

Just watched the video and the new audio is terrible. It is bland and as others have said a big advertisement instead of just fun and relaxing.

We have spoken to 12-15 CMs at the attraction during the last two days and all ("off the record") wish for the previous sound track to return.

Two CMs told us today that the new lame sound track could be replaced if enough good folks expressed their concerns via Guest Relations and other WDW-related contacts.
