Brides & Brides to be! Please help with a major decision

Ok fellow brides and brides to be, my fiancee and I need your help. We have been lucky enough to locate not one, but two beautiful wedding/reception sites and we're torn between the two. Both offer comparable packages at comparable prices so it really comes down to aesthetics. Which would you choose?

Did you visit both in person? Any pos or negatives?

Personally I think the castle one is kind of fun.. but thats just because I love fairy tales.

Villa Siena seems more atmospheric and less pre-fab than the Castle at Ashley Manor, but maybe they just got better photography! To me, the Castle kinda feels like a McMansion set down in the middle of the desert....

Have visited both, and they just as stunning as the pictures. (and equidistant from our home as well, though in opposite directions) The only con to the castle is that there is a dairy farm not too far away that you may be able to smell (though the staff assures me that isn't the case & i didn't smell it when I visited). The only con to the villa is that it's right off a street undergoing construction (though by Oct 2010, it's scheduled to be done)

They are both beautiful!! I love that the castle has a Cinderella type coach, but overall, I think that the Tuscan style villas are the best. I kind of agree with Carrie's statements. The castle looks really out of place. You can tell it's new construction.

with a dairy farm being that close...you can never be too sure? with the way the wind blows on an off day? i went to school and worked with cows, and when it was bad, it was aweful...also i have a farm in my town and it doesnt even have cows just mulch and horses and on a bad day you can smell it down the street at the high school..and believe me its down a long windy street and then up a long windy drive to the high school..im not sure how you can manage to smell it but you can....id be nervous

with the construction outside..can you see it? what time is your wedding? would they be doing construction during your wedding if there happened to be construction still going on?

The Castle wins hands down! The beautiful arches and the water garden...my ultimate dream!!

i love castles, but it looks too barren for a castle. the villa is beautiful, i would definitely choose villa. you will barely have to decorate, its so pretty and romantic as is.

The villas look very elegant and opulant. I'm more of a castle girl but I agree about the McMansion description.

OMG they are both gorgeous, so eithier way you will have an amazing wedding

I prefer the villa only because the courtyard and outdoor areas are amazing!!!! And ITA with others who said you hardly need to decorate! The castle would require some more decorating, but I bet it would be gorgeous as well!

That villa though, its like something out of a dream

I'm kinda leaning toward the villa myself. The DF likes the castle better (mostly due to the "halloween/gothic" castle vibe he wants for our October wedding). The castle's package is about $16,000 all inclusive and the villa's is about $17,000. This is too hard!

I like the villas but they are both beautiful. You are so lucky to have such amazing places to choose from. If i was getting married in my home town there is nothing like that.

I like the villa....I agree with the earlier posts that the castle looks a little out of place - it appears "cold" to me.
