Bride-to-be's totally confusing PJ - Beach towel design =o)

WOW...I just caught up. What a debate we have going on here. I for one think that all of your choices are lovely and no matter what you decide to do it will be beautiful and memorable. I'm with everyone else though...slow down a bit and take a step back. Talk it out with DF and you will come to a solution. One step at a time hon....you are stressing yourself to the max! I can't wait to hear what you decide. Good luck!

So what's the lastest, did you hear about having the ceremony on the front castle steps? What about renting out all of V&A??

If we rent out all of V&A it's the same price as a castle ceremony. We are running down in a few weeks for site visits. I think we are going to have dinner there again and see how we feel. I honestly think its kind of expensive for one meal and I think I would rather have the castle ceremony. I have decided that I really really want to have a reception on the same day as the ceremony.

We are going down to meet with the MK people about the castle ceremony. So I won't know much until we get back.

Thanks Anna Marie! Now that we are def going down soon for site visits I feel so much better - its almost as if there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We have decided that we both like the beach wedding and the castle wedding. We also like the living seas salon - so that could be something. We are def sticking with the napa room for the first night - so atleast that is settled. I really want to have a reception on the same day as the ceremony. The castle is sooo easy b/c we could just have breakfast somewhere after. I have someone else working on the cruise reception for me - so I am just waiting to see what comes of it. I really really dislike the beach blanket and studio sea ideas.

So how long until you go down for the site visit?

I think we are going down on May 6 so like 4 weeks. The four weeks are going to feel like forever!! We just wanted to be there over a weekend so we could stay longer and thats the first free one :sad2:

I just sent an email to try to get all of our site visits scheduled.

We'll be down there May 7-10th!!! I really can't wait to hear what you decide. And I agree, the next four+ weeks are going to DRAG on and on!!!

YAY!!! I just booked the air and decided to come back super late on Mon night so we get to stay through the 11th. I am sooo excited! I feel like I have been going through disney withdrawl.

UGH! 4 weeks is going to go by so slowly! :rotfl: Good luck narrowing down choices of what you want to look at until then!

Ok so we have an appt on Friday May 8 at 10am!!! We are going to look at the castle, the napa room (just because we have to put the deposit down - so why not) and the living seas salon. I feel like we should be looking at more places but I can't really think of what else we should see. Any ideas?

I sort of feel like I don't want to waste our consultants time looking at tons and tons of venues - but at the same time - what if we really don't like swan boat landing and what if we decide not to go with the cruise beach ceremony. We need a ceremony site. I really don't want to have to do another trip of just site visits.

If we are already at epcot looking at the living seas - how hard is it to look at some of the countries in world show case? Do they tell you anything specifically about them? I mean is it any different than DF and I just taking a walk around the lake when we are in the parks anyway?

Also our consultant said he wasn't sure what time we would see the castle because he didn't know what time they would be able to set everything up for us. Does anyone know what that means? They don't actually set up all of the chairs and stuff for a mock ceremony do they? I am kind of excited because I am hoping we get to look at lots of pictures. I just didn't know if anyone knew what that meant?

How exciting. Can't wait to hear all about it and we will want pictures!!! LOTS and LOTS of pics.

That will be fun! Hopefully taking a look around and meeting with a consultant will help you narrow your options down!

I would ask to see the Wedding Pavillion as well. I think that it is the backup for the castle if it is raining? Did you ever find that out? Also, I would go online to Disney Weddings and look at the sights online to see if any of them peak your interest or DF's interest. I know that Sea Breeze Point is beautiful as is the Italy area they let you use. You may also want to view some of the Epcot sites in case you decide to rent one out for your guests to watch the fireworks or for a desert party at some point as well. As long as you are already going to be there I would look at all you can...take lots of pics and they will help you decide after you get home. Good luck! By the way, I arrive at the world one day after you depart!

Thanks Anna Marie!

You must be super excited about your trip - not long now!

I love the wedding pavillion! We are def going to try to stick our heads in the door on our way to Francks. If we were having a 100 or 200 people that would be my first choice. However since we only are having 50-60 I feel like its too few. It always makes me sad to walk into churches for weddings and funerals and see lots of empty seats. If we go with the castle ceremony I am hoping to get a different rainbackup like inside the castle where the restaurant waiting room is or something.

We have a bunch of things on hold. I asked for either Morocco or Italy for a DP and they held France (upper?) I think - not sure why but good enough (except that DF has a thing against france - oh well). We have LSS on hold too. The hard part is that we know the parks inside and out. I have been over the DFTW site a million times and can't seem to see the vision of it all. I feel like if we were doing one of the other disney parks like paris or tokyo or even disneyland it would be totally different because nothing would be as familiar and therefore it might feel a little bit more special/exciting. So anyhoo we are just going to wander and wander and keep looking. I am refusing to leave the "world" until we have everything figured out. We have a planning session for invites and stuff on Monday the 11th - so we had better have it all figured out.

Oh and just as an update for anyone who might be curious. Even though TTwC is interactive - when you rent it out - you can't customize the show in any way. I was very disappointed to hear that.

Sounds like you are making progress.

We only had 30 at the Wedding Pavilion and it was spectacular so to each their own.

For the dessert party, Morocco is too small and is the location for Intimate wedding dessert parties and Italy has a 100 person minimum which you aren't at. You got placed at the French Upper because that is the site that accommodates your party size.

What is TTwC?

ETA - nevermind..I got it

I wouldn't think that it could change..I am sure it takes several hundred hours to get it set up and they can't change the script much without changing the entire clip

Melissa you only had 30? I thought you had many more. Anyhoo, I keep hearing stories of people who walk into the WP and just fall in love. Who knows - maybe it will turn into a first choice after we see it.

I guess thats why they held France Upper for us. I am kind of confused though because I read something that was totally different. I read that italy has a max of 100 not a min....

What I found online says -
French Upper 50 min 150max
French Lower 20 min 50 max
French Arm 350max
Italy Isola 100max
Morocco Terrace 60max

Maybe French Upper was the only place still available? I just feel like some place that can hold 150 is going to be too big and some place like morocco that holds 60 would be perfect or italy would be better than france with a max of 100.

Who knows - I am sure we will know more when we get back.

Oh no Melissa you might be right. The above figures are from mouseweddings.com. I just did another google search and found this on the financing section of DFTW.

Lower United Kingdom Terrace
Dessert Party/Reception Minimum - 20 guests; Maximum - 100 guests

Upper United Kingdom Terrace
Dessert Party/Reception Minimum - 20 guests; Maximum - 50 guests

Upper French Island
Dessert Party/Reception Minimum - 50 guests; Maximum - 350 guests

Lower French Island
Dessert Party/Reception Minimum - 50 guests; Maximum - 300 guests

French Island Arm
Dessert Party/Reception Minimum - 20 guests; Maximum - 100 guests

Italy Isola
Dessert Party/Reception Minimum - 100 guests; Maximum - 300 guests

But they don't even list Morocco and the numbers are totally different from what mousewedding.com has. HMMMMMMM. Grrrrr.
