We will be honeymooning in Nov. and would like to know what experiences any of the fellow Diser's have had with them? Is there a alternative to the groom top hat? I do have to be honest the idea of wearing a top hat does not appeal to me at all. So let me have the good the bad the ugly of wearing these around the parks. Any and all feed back would be great.

Thnx!:confused3

If you look at purplegirl247's TR, her DH wore a very sharp black "groom" baseball cap...not the Disney top hat. So, maybe that's an idea? I honestly see my DF wearing the Disney top hat for a total of 10 pics or so, and then maybe wearing a baseball cap, we'll see! I am sure you're not alone!

Wow, thanks for the compliment! Yeah, DH was not too keen on the tophat, particularly since it kept popping off his head even when he was just trying it on. :rotfl: I got that groom hat from Michaels. Here 'tis online, if you don't have one near you or you're just really fond of paying shipping costs. ;) http://www.davidsbridalgifts.com/Em...VVproductId5672431VVcatId424411VVviewprod.htm

As far as the good and bad of wearing around the park, it helps with upping the possibility of pixie dust (free fast passes, etc.) but we personally didn't get any of that stuff. We did get lots of CM congrulations, though, so that was nice. :cutie: If you really aren't into wearing a hat of any kind, you can still get the Just Married pins from pretty much any CM (they usually offer them; you don't have to go begging or anything; lol!) and get nice attention that way as well.

Good luck!

Dh didn't care for the tophat as it didn't fit him. So he wore regular black Mickey ears and I wore the bridal ears headband. We received plenty of "congrats" with them.

Honestly, he ditched the ears when they wer enot being used in pictures and wore a Disney ball cap. I didn't mind one bit.

I wore the bride ears but my DH didn't wear the groom hat. It was very hot when we were there and he didn't want to wear anything on his head. Everyone was still very congratulatory and would tease him about not wearing the hat. He was ok with it. I loved wearing the ears but they give you a headache after a while!

Ha found you. Really worried about wearing it huh. geez, lmao. no wedding cake that looks like a top hat, no wearing a top hat. Plus I said the baseball cap was fine. lol.

My DH willingly and eagerly wore the top hat!:rotfl: I made my bride ears.

You can get the "groom" baseball cap and make your own black ears using the thick craft foam.

We got a lot of congratulations from both CM's and other park guests...it was really nice! Goofy posed for an extra special pic with us, one guest gave us an origami swan (don't really know why, but I'm assuming it was because of the ears), we did get a free drink at one of the stands in Epcot (that was MUCH appreciated since it was hot and humid that day)...but I think the best of all was the reaction/interaction with the characters. Nearly all of them made some kind of gesture that expressed their good wishes. Those are some special memories!;)

Thanks folks for all the feed back I think I will give the cap a try along with a pin. So once again thanks for all the feedback!:thumbsup2

My DH considered his a wedding day prop. It didn't really fit his head so he didn't wear it at WDW or DL. He wore his button all the time though!

I wore my ears most of the time but the first few days they were pinching my head and giving me a headache. I stretched them out for a day and that helped on our honeymoon!
