Having now returned from my wonderful trip to Disney, I can again focus on my second favorite thing to do in my free time (planning and taking trips being the first): Horse Racing! And what luck, the Breeder's Cup is right around the corner. Hosted at historic Churchill Downs this year, the World Championships (debatably) of Horse Racing looks to bring us 2 days of excellent racing, spread out over 14 races. So, let's start the discussions!
1. Can anyone beat the indomitable Zenyatta? All signs point to no, but I'm thinking that if anyone can it's my Derby pick from this year Lookin at Lucky.
2. Since Zenyatta won't be entering the Distaff (I still refuse to call it the Ladies Classic), who will be first among females? Personally, I have a serious love affair going on with Blind Luck.
3. With Gio Ponti foregoing the Classic in favor of the Mile, will Goldikova finally have a challenger worth her while? I'm thinking yes.
4. Who will be the first to cross the finish in the Juvenile and rocket to the top of the Derby hopefuls chart? No idea...any guessers?
Come on, let's hear it from fans of The Sport of Kings!
