Don't you just hate seeing your friends or someone you close with end their long time relationships?
Lately all my friends and their boyfriends or girlfriends have been breaking up. Most of them have been dating for over a year, others for almost a year. That just scares me, like if two people you've watched fall in love can't make it how do I know my boyfriend and I will. I'm not saying I'm counting on everyone to show me that we can, but it's just hard to believe that we will make it, when they've been breaking up. My friend Taylor and her boyfriend Colt broke up last week. They've been dating since 06. She said she just realized a lot of things she never saw. Another friend Courtney and her boyfriend Matt have been breaking up and getting back together for the past three months. Blah- thats what I hate the most. I've already told Garrett, if he breaks up with me.. thats it. I'm not playing the 'lets take a break' game. You either want to be with me or you don't. It's simple really. Another fiend, Dan and his girlfriend almost broke up because they 'got tired' of each other. They've been together for about 10 months.. There's only one of my friends now who's stayed with her long time boyfriend.. and they have a baby together, born Feb 12. I mean that counts still, but I just want one couple to stay together and show me it's possible to stay with the same person forever. I know I'm only a few months from being 16, and 'love' shouldn't matter to me right now. But it does. Being with someone as long as I've been with him can really take a toll on me. I just want to know that you can be in love with the same person for you whole life.

Weird. A lot of relationships in my school seem to be breaking as fast as they're made. My two closest friends have been on and off (mostly on) for the past year or so, and now they're done.

I just haven't had a chance to talk to anyone.

Awww, I know it really sucks.

Two of my friends were dating for about 6-8 months, they both lost their V's to each other and stuff, and their brake up was horrible. They both have kinda moved on, but clearly still left over feelings and stuff.

I hate the position I am in, because when my friend Keira moved on to another guy, I didn't know whether to tell Daryl and vice versa. Very odd situation to be in.

 I hope it works out with your friends :)

I do believe that there are people out there for everyone and it is possible to be with someone your whole life (and this is coming from a child with divorced parents :P) but you just have to find them first, and go through the other hundreds to get there.

Most relationships crash and burn around here.
I know about two relationships that are going on a year now, but they've broken up, but for very short periods of time.
Sometimes I really think the break is what someone needs.

I dunno.

All these people have lost their virginity to them also..
i was thinking about this last night.. my boyfriend and I,
are the ONLY virgins in our group of 'couple' friends..
weird. gahh.

Well I actually have two couples I can look at and see how great they are doing. My sister and her boyfriend starting dating her junior year, his senior year of high school. It will be 4 years this May. XD

My mom and dad, it's kinda weird, they started dating football season of their sophomore year. Both went to OHS, and my dad played baseball and football..
Uhmm, I'm in my sophomore year now, so is Garrett. He plays baseball, and football for OHS.. AND.. we started dating this past football season (: aha XD strange, yet awesome!

Every things just going so great with us. I don't see anything bad happening at least not anytime soon.

btw, I don't know if I would tell Daryl. It might be best for him to find out himself.. I dunno though

:) I don't think it is weird that you and your bf are the only ones in your couples group thing. Most of my friends that have lost their virginity, constantly tell me to wait and not to rush into anything LOL.

Aww, I think it is so cute when couples meet in High School and are 'together forever' it's adorable!

Hmm, I didn't tell him in the end. He found out on his own when he saw them together, not the ideal way, but at least he now knows and we don't all have to dodge around the subject whenever he is around.

Exactly what all my friends tell me. But I'm not ready anyways, and I don't think his either. I think it's really sweet though, we've been together for five months, and sex has only came up like once, and I was his first kiss :cutie:

I know that seems like strange that he's 15 and just had his first kiss.. but how he told me was that he was just never comfortable around girls until I came around. And I believe him, because if you knew him.. he's really not the girl obsessed kinda guy. He's really sweet, definitely not like most guys around here. My friends think I'm crazy for believing him about the kiss thing. They're all like how can he have never kissed a girl!?! Look at him! (might I add he is quite good-looking ) Plus he's like the ultimate athlete. Ahh idk I believe him, I just do (:

But I'm not planning on having sex anytime soon, although it's not really something you plan on.. Like my sister told me; her and her bf have been dating since she was 16, she's now 21. And just got intimate like that. She said she was waiting to know that when they did have sex, if he walked out the next day.. she wouldn't regret it. If that makes any sense? It did to me..

Yes, that made perfect sense. And It is a great value to have :)

Plus, you being your boyfriends first kiss is really sweet. And the whole 'American jock' stereotype has been smashed by your description of your boyfriend in my mind :)

i don't think that "taking a break" totally means it's just over. i don't know how to explain it though.

idk it's just me and zach and then my friend briana and her boyfriend that are the only couples in my group of friends but my ex and this other girl have been on and off *mostly on* for the past year and a half almost.

they're just riddiculous though, he doesn't want to get back together like for real with her but she does. and he's just leading her on...it's almost painful to watch, she hasn't figured it out yet

breakups happen. its the risk you take with relationships. but, just because people around you break up doesn't mean you and your boyfriend are doomed to failure.

i'm reviving the break-up thread, because this is something i think about a lot.

i'm terrified of break-ups. i mean, it makes you paranoid, and then you know the paranoia can be what ends it. scary. i dont know many people whove lasted very long, which is sad. things here are so...weird. everyone talks about their bf and gf, but you never see them together, and one day they're...over. just like that.

like i said, it scares me.
