Breaking NEWS PHOTO SESSIONS!!!!!! :-)

Prepurchasing the PhotoPass and booking the session are two different things. If you have the money *now* and want to buy the PhotoPass CD now, and have one less thing to worry about later, why not do it - if you didn't know the code expires in 60 days?

I completely understand why people book/buy stuff months in advance, when they have the money, if they don't know the code to get what they need is going to expire. How frustrating.

This thread is so confusing with conflicting info.

That still doesn't explain why a lot of people are buying the Photopass 6 to 8 months early. The code expired after 60 days and you have to go through the hassle of getting it reset - if they will even do it for you.

And there was a time when the codes did not expire after 60 days. When I first looked into prepurchasing a photopass cd 2 years ago, I was told then(on more than one occasion) that the code would not expire until the end of 2007.

And if there is an expiration, shouldn't it be posted somewhere on the website? Or in the confirmation e-mail you receive? As far as I can tell, there is no mention of the code expiring at all. I've only ever seen it mentioned on this thread.

what number do you call to have it reset? I pre-ordered in August for the fall trip we had to cancel so now need to use it in March. I dont want to get a refund and reorder because I want to keep teh $25 photoshoot fine print.
TIA

Just returned and glad to report our Poly PP shoot went very well :goodvibes!! Upon arrival I simply showed PP rep. my pre-purchase October conf # and email quote of $25/$50 for first and second shoot and no questions were asked. :)

We had a 4/4:30pm double shoot as we had 17 family members. Our photographer was Taisia and her partner (who helped place us) was David. We had 75 pics taken at the Poly beach, infamous tree and hill w/castle view ~ then GP's w/grands and individual family shots. Apparently she'd never heard of kids having a photo shoot facing backwards and when asked she decided to do shortest in middle w/tallest on outside, but was happy to accomodate my request of shortest to tallest in below shot ;). Unfortuately, our alloted time did not allow for individual shots of grands, as we had SoA dinner show ressies immediately following.

We were happy with results, as realize it's difficult to get 17 people in a shot, let alone all smiling and be still at same time! She gave us a quick peak after shoot, copied our portriat CD for us to take and handed me a 5x7 family pic and said she enjoyed working with us. I was so surprised by her generosity and thought it was so nice of her!! :goodvibes

We had 4 family cards thru out park all week, so took advantage, even at BBB. Last day we went back to Poly and another PP rep uploaded all 275 park pics on one card and let us view them.
He explained upon arrival home, to simply sign in with my PP code to view and edit pics online. We have done so and hope to get CD in plenty time to make :santa: cards.

Good luck to all! I know many question if PP is worth it, but we'd do over again in a heartbeat! :lovestruc

Great pics. I think we had Tasia at SSR on 11/29. She said she was brand new to the resort. Was she very Petit with dark hair? She took a lot of time with us and was very patient. We had a party of 9.

This isn't going to work for me. I preordered the CD and then called the GF and the Photo lady told me that unless it had the offer on the bottom they wouldn't honor the promotion.

When did you pre-order the CD? I just ordered mine a few days ago and it still have the $25.00 GF offer on it.

When you printed out your pre-order confirmation did you get 2 pages. The offer is on the 2nd page and is included in the satisfaction guarantee/return policy information.

This is all mine says:

Satisfaction Guarantee/Return Policy: By taking advantage of Disney's PhotoCD plus Photo Book Pre-Arrival Savings Offer, you are guaranteed to get a great value on our most popular memory keepsakes. This e-mail contains your two promotion codes. You will use these codes to get all Disney's PhotoPass images in your account on an archive quality CD as well as a copyright release that allows you to reprint and use your images in the sizes and formats that you wish, plus you will use the second code to order a Professional Photo Book. You must purchase the pre-arrival offer before your vacation and then order your CD or CD + Book after your vacation. The promotion codes cannot be combined with any other offers. You must order your PhotoCD and Photo Book in separate orders. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the photos and decide that you no longer want to order your Disney's PhotoCD or Photo Book, just let us know and you will receive a full refund. To receive a refund, you must request it within 2 weeks after the completion of your Disney vacation and you must not use the special promotion code to order Disney's PhotoCD or Photo Book. If the promotion code has been used, a refund will not be granted.

I think I remember reading if you do the photopass + book offer it's not on the bottom but if you just do the photopass offer it's there. Can anyone else confirm this? :confused3

ETA - I ordered photopass only on 11/3 and it says this:

This is also what I heard - only available on CD only... are they still offering this price

well that sucks...i did the book too.

You would think that the MORE you spent the more perks you would get.

I did the photo CD only and got the offer. I guess that is the trick. :confused3

We also had Taisia for our Poly PP on 12/5 and she was wonderful. We had 8 people ranging from 7-69 years old and she took 92 photos. Since we had 9am slot, we did a few inside with waterfall, the hill with castle in background, tried on the beach but sun was in our eyes, hammock for kids, then moved to bridge near pool. She was incredibly nice and patient with us. We asked her and she had been PP at Beach Club prior to moving over to Poly and has been PP for 3 years now. We didn't have any problem with getting the $25 price for the shoot. We got them on a CD and also the photopass card. Here are some of our photos:

We then tried some on the beach but we were looking directly into the sun and everyone was squinting so we asked to move somewhere else. Here are the shoots from the new location.

Is the $25 photoshoot only for the GF or can it be used at AK. Has anyone done this at AK? Just wondering how the photos turn out their.

I GOT IT!!!! I finally re-ordered my pre-order (cancelled the first one because it didn't have the $25 offer and I found out I would have had to start uploading pics on the first night there!) and this time I got the $25 offer!!!

I'm SO excited! We were going to do it either way, but I like this price so much better! :cool1:
