Woo hoo I've seen the light. SpongeBob is for the nephew. I have a bad habbit of picking up stuff in the stores way before the holidays and then I sometime forget it's hidden in the closest.:rolleyes1

At least I pulled everything out of the hiding places this year.:thumbsup2

I just gave Arline a lesson on the DIS for the last few hours. We had to make her a new screen name and we'll try to get her an avatar, a ticker and a signature.

I'm trying to fix the link in my siggie to the Kidani PTR.

Wow, that was a lot of posting while I was away. I read the first couple pages, so please forgive me if I missed your comment.

From someone who doesn't have much family, treasure it while you can. We are spending Christmas (hopefully) with a friend in Las Vegas since all my family will be somewhere that's too cold from Fran to travel to.

I agree with you. Even though I have always had a ton of family around, it never gets old. I could spend countless days with my family and my husband's, because I love them all so much. That is why I have lunch with my Dad once a week and dinner with my husband's Dad once a week. I love iy. DH hardly goes to either with me, because of work, but he would not want to go weekly even if he was not working. I wish I saw his Mom more often, but she cannot commit to a specific day. I did see her today though. I doubt my husband will ever change his mind and realize how wonderful it is to have them nearby (especially his Mom, since I do not have one).

I live in Vegas. If you come into town, have some free time, don't mind kiddos (now 5 and 5 mos), and want to meet, we can have lunch or something (other than Christmas day of course, since I have three houses to go to). I have a pretty open schedule most days (unless DH steals my car), especially over the Christmas break, since my DS is on break from preschool.

I agree with Alison. As someone with no extended family, those with family should cherish that. I understand wanting one year 'off' and the misaligning would be a good option. But as 'frustrating' as it might be...I wish ever so much that I had more than my parents and brother :sad1:

Hope you feel better soon

I never want a year off! That is why I keep trying to convince him to take his Holiday off from our extended family on a smaller day like Halloween. Even though Unsnuz mentioned ordering a meal (my step MIL does this at my FILs every year), I would miss my family way too much. We have kids now, and my older one really enjoys seeing everyone. It would not be fair to either of us to stay home. DH is outnumbered, so I hope we never take a major holiday off.

I am feeling much better (for now). Thank you.

Got anymore hiding places? You might find a few more forgotten gifts. Score!

I am glad you feel better. I know what you mean I dont have either one of my parents. I would meet with you, I will be there in June for a golf tournament my DH does. I am sorry husband feels that way. How have you been other wise? Ready for christmas?

By the way, Unsnuz, I am loving the new avatar. It brings me back to our last Knott's Berry Farm trip. I love that place.

Did you notice I turned a page? That was my first time this whole thread. If I was going on the nig gamer trip, I'd save my quarter. I am going to be there a few weeks after you all leave though.

Thank you. It is nice to finally feel well. I am going to take a vacation from the 15th through the 24th for my baby's frist birthday on the 21st. We are doing the SoCal thing, Dl, San Diego Zoo, Legoland, etc. If your trip is outside those dates, I would love to meet you. I am still having some issues, but I went to the hospital for outpatient testing today. Hopefully, they find the problem. If not, I have to start over with a different specialist.

I have done nothing for Christmas! I know that is bad. We waited on the tree, since I wanted to buy a bunch of ornaments from WDW. I did buy some things (new tree topper, stocking for the baby, a couple of first Christmas ornaments and some others). I did not get as much as I wanted, since DH protested and gave me a last minute $200 Christmas decoration budget (which I exceeded a little). We got back on Sunday night, but have been too busy to get it up yet. The tree and outside lights will go up tomorrow. Then, we will do out first Christmas event (other than our recent vacation with the MVMCP), tomorrow night. My extended family is out right now, but I was advised not to go out tonight. I had to pump and dump a lot of breast milk due to the anesthesia, so it would have been hard to go out with them tonight.

I will be doing all of my shopping this week too. I did not even order anything online, because I feared it would jam up our mailbox while we were on our trip. This is the most behind I've ever been. What about you? Are you ready for Christmas?

Yes I am finally ready. Its okay if you dont have everything done for christmas. You have your family and thats what counts the most. We will be there the 10th -13th. How is it going with the DR? Resting is a good thing for you. How was the trip to WDW? I love it there in Dec.

Got anymore hiding places? You might find a few more forgotten gifts. Score!

I just put two outfits for my niece in hiding for her b-day at the end of January.

Speaking of hiding things too well, I'm still looking for our FE hanger that we used on the Panama cruise last January. Also my camera bag with the extra battery. DH likes to put away stuff and not tell me where he stashed it.

I always wonder if Solo sposored this song. At some point I'm going to be buying disposable cups and that song will be directing me from the back of my mind.

I've heard the song started as a joke and took off from there. It sure gets stuck in your head.

Excellent, we will be doing a lot of page turing if we get more posters in here.

Shopping almost done. I need some time without DS to get a last couple things for hime. Some educational books and writing paper.

Tree is up and needs decorations. Maybe tomorrow if we come back from skiing earlier. Inside decorations are otherwise somewhat up.

Welcome home! Just in case you forgot what it looks like. You know your revolving door real well.

I'm sitting here trying to remember which LeapFrog game goes to which kid (nephew or grandson). I have SpongeBob and Toy Story3 and I know I gave one to my Grandson for his birthday last month, but I can't remember which one. I hate when this happens. I swear some days it feels like Alzheimer's is setting in.:confused3

My nephew and grandson are only a few months apart and always want the same things.

Let's hope the light bulb comes on soon.

I see that the light bulb didn't take that long to kick-start. :thumbsup2

Dinnae get me started.....

Aye....naw....mibby !! :thumbsup2

Doing well by yourself there scotlass. :thumbsup2

Welcome to the lasters.....

Everytime you turn a page, that's 25 cents into the tip jar. Hopefully by the time Oct 2013 comes round, there'll be a nice savings fund there.

I'm ready for Christmas....except for food. Everything else is done.

Welcome home! Just in case you forgot what it looks like. You know your revolving door real well.

I'm nailing that revolting door shut!! :headache:

I've heard the song started as a joke and took off from there. It sure gets stuck in your head.

First time I heard it I had to search for the video.

The video seems to do one thing. Made Toby Keith look old.

Kmedina - we'll have to see. We're staying at Sam's Town, we may have a small problem in that Fran and I like to park our butts at the BlackJack table with low limits, I like to sit and get drinks for free while we slide, but Arline says she doesn't gamble. I don't know if she's going to get bored and we're going to have to do things like go to the strip and fight crowds or what. I hate that! I avoid the strip at all costs unless there is a specific restaurant we want to hit or a new casino we've never been to.

We only have three ADRs for Thurs, Fri and Xmas Day, the rest are up in the air. I don't know how mobile Fran will be. The idea of being in Vegas may put her over the top, but it may wipe her out. I'll be online when I'm there because she will need naps and some go to bed early nights. We'll play it by ear.

That red cup video thing? - I don't follow contemporary music and have avoided country music like the plague. I assume this guy is a country music type, I did enjoy the video once I got over the "twang" in the whole tune.

PIO - I hope you survive the revotling door!

scotlass - welcome and I love your accent while posting! :lmao: Do you know the Outlander series? You remind me of Jaime and his clan!

I guess I'm not a spring chicken anymore, he's just a year older than me.:lmao:

Scotlass - I'm enjoying your tidbits and I confess I had to google bawbag too.:rotfl:

I've been so busy that I only noticed The Scottish Prisoner had hit the shops already. I was eyeing it the other day....and am still contemplating opening my wallet to buy it. Have you read it yet? Is it worth getting or should I wait for the library copy?

It's an ageless society on the Dis....:thumbsup2
