So I've gotten very tired, I'm watching the bonus features of the cars 2 video, but falling asleep fast.

No not myself other than when I left the mountains for college and came back and had to readjust to the low oxygen level and the amount of time it takes to catch ones breath.

Most people that have problems with altitude did two things wrong, and didn't actually get altitude sickness.

They got dehydrated from flying and then being more active than usually.

They drank too much too quick when theer blood was already oxygen deleted because of the alittude.

Avoid those two mistakes and you won't be part of the 95% who claim altitude sickness who are not afflicted with it.
Yeah I honestly think we'll be fine. I already get nagged over not getting dehydrated. :rotfl2:
And I don't drink much anyway.

So where are you? obviously not in Denver since you have to drive so far to get anywhere, but I'm guessing not jackson hole either....
Vail and Brekenridge...so Denver is basically the closest major airport

I have been to Jackson Hole to visit though ;)

I really dont have a problem with the altitude. My ears pop but thats about it. I hate flying, fear mainly. I have to figure how we are getting to florida in 2013. If I hitch hike now I may make it in time.
It's a shame having a fear of flying. I actually 'enjoy' flying in principle...
I love jets. I've visited the Boeing factory twice.

I'd just like to be closer to the pointy end.... :rolleyes1

Well what I was told is that Jackson Hole is the BEST place to ski. That is the last place I went skiing, but I'm not nuch of a skier.

Not that I don't enjoy it, I just don't have the greatest luck. I went to Park city and got an ambulance trip and stayed in the condo for the rest of the week.

Since Fran isn't very mobile we've never attempted it. better idea, she would never make it.

I like flying too, which I would guess is because I started flying often at an early age.

The only flight I was nervous on was in a snow storm at night. It was a plane and very shaky. I was looking out the window and could see the prop next to me and every now and then a bunch would freeze to it building up and then being flung off it sounded like pebbles being thrown at the plane. I could also see the snow building on the wing. This was around when deicing was being considered as a safety standard.

Did this turn into a relaxing vacation or not?

Well it was relaxing until 4:30AM the morning after we got back and all hell brock loose! :lmao:

I can laugh about it now, but it took about 3-4 weeks until we were able to go upstairs into our bedroom after that quake. I was scared to DEATH to go into my closet!

Afraid to open the closet door because stuff would fall out?

I'm sorry it was a bit disastrous...
I tumbled on Lake Louise and hitched a ride on a snowmobile but my knee was just a minor strain. It was just back side of the mountain and the weather turning I wasn't risking taking it down.

I don't think Jackson Hole would be the Best :confused3
I'm trying to work out the appeal really. Sure there is enough civilisation and it is easy to drive to. But it isn't an all rounder mountain.

I judge a mountain on having a good range or runs for all skills. Just because I CAN DO blue runs doesn't mean I don't LOVE green runs and bowls.
This is why I won't go to some of the 'best' I guess....as they are highly regarded only for their fresh powder untracked runs and double black diamond runs

Oh dear....not fun...

But I started flying early too. We did lots of domestic trips around and then the first BIG trip across the great big pond was when I was 8.
The good old days when you could visit the captain in the cockpit and were given wings
I hate what has become of flying

Can I go to bed now?
Yup...night night
