Watching wicked weather out the window. It snowed a good bit, and now I need to plow but the wind is super strong and that makes for a cold time on the plow.

Yikes! I bet! It's cold here, I'm actually wearing a T-shirt with sleeves and occasionally putting on a denim shirt over that! :lmao:

Disney Store - That bad :rotfl2:

I bought stuff online while here at work (undies for me and some scrapbooking and travel stuff).

I almost started Disney shopping online before I remembered that I can buy in person shortly. :lmao:

Everyone's food sounds so good and makes me wish we cooked for ourselves yesterday. I will have to pester DH to buy a turkey breast so we can have some leftovers soon!

I promise to post some renovation pictures early next week after I get the tree up this weekend.

Last to POST!
I stayed away from the Disney store online. I've already spent too much online shopping for DBF :rolleyes1 and calling in a favour from my Michigan friend to be a receiver and distributer of gifts from US stores :lmao: :rotfl2:

uploading to PB now!

HAHA. I've stayed wearing short sleeves (always sleeves even when 100 degrees) but been back in jeans and boots past two days. Decidedly British weather with only 45mins of sunshine over the past week :scared1: Cloud cover and rain

Of course weather is nothing like that :rotfl2:
I'm dreaming of a white...but NOT SNOWING For a couple days Christmas this year. I want some snow on the ground but I need to roads to be clear and to get where we're going.

Mild Sydney winter weather in Orlando and mild but snow covered weeks in Colorado please :teeth:

And then there were two....
Two are on their way to the catch flights....ahhhhhhhh.....the serenity.... :upsidedow until mum gets back :rolleyes1

So our Thanksgiving is pretty small. Last year it was just the two of us, so instead of making a turkey we went out to dinner. Since it was our year to spend Thanksgiving with my parents, this year we cooked a turkey.

Here is the completed bird. I did something different this year which I heard Bobby Flay talk about on the Food Network Thanksgiving Live show. When the breast meat was cooked, he removed the leg and thigh quarters from the bird, and braised them in the chicken broth that was in the bottom of the roasting pan. Foil was placed over the breat of the bird, and the dark meat was braised for another hour while we finished up the remaining sides.

We cheated and baked Claim Jumper pies, and I forgot to take pictures of them, but we had Blackberry and Apple with a cinnamon crumb topping. I thought they were just fabulous!

The wind has been gusting around 40 for most of the day. I never did the driveway, the wind would just drift snow back into it. I'll take care of it tomorrow. It's supposed to be sunny, so that is nice.

Yup that what we had too, though also with some sliced but fresh vegatables.

I brought over a pino grigio because that is what my mom wanted. I think because she was in Italy a few weeks ago.

Of course we had pumpkin pie.

Nice Dinner :thumbsup2

So was it good braising the dark meat longer? Actually thinking about Turkey legs brought back some nasty memories. The smell of them at WDW is gagging for me...blech....

BUT...I think I'd like ones cooked this way. I'd at least try it.
I just adore Turkey white meat with cranberries.

What kind of gravy do you make? Do you make like a chicken gravy?

Nice dinner Alison.

I ordered my Turkey breast roll for Christmas at my chicken shop today. I decided to just go with pure breast meat and not have it stuffed. I'll probably make stuffing separate.

Will you be posting your stuffing recipe on WFD?
