On the other Twilight thread there are rumors of spoilers on IMDB. I'm too afraid to wander over to that site but will anyone give a small clue as to what kind of spoilers there are????? Are we talking Edward vs. Jacob spoilers or who dies kinds of spoilers??? Or that the Cullens totally obliterate the Volturi and become the reigning vampire family kind of spoilers....that last one is just a fun dream I had!

OK..I am really REALLY hoping that the things I have read over there are NOT true. I kinda wish I wouldn't have looked, but I have never been very good with surprises.

I'm not really sure what to tell you without giving specific things away.

The MAIN thing is that something that was supposedly IMPOSSIBLE has now apparently become possible..and I don't like it..one bit!

I'm not putting any spoilers in this post, but honestly, I don't know how I'm feeling about this book. I probably have less than a third of the book left, and some ridiculous stuff has happened. I feel like it turned real Sci-Fi-ish.

When I was halfway through I almost put the book down and went to bed out of frustration... It's making me sad that I'm not enjoying it as much as the first three books.

Wow, I may get flamed for this, but I am just horrified. This book is not at all what I expected. I am so disappointed. (And, FYI, I loved the first three & went to get this at midnight so I am a big fan).

I will go so far as to say this book is going to upset a LOT of fans. She should have stopped with three books and just left us hanging.

I'll agree that at first I was... less than pleased. I am thrilled now that I have gotten to the end of the tale. YMMV, of course.

It is a lot like fan fic with bad, unbelievable choices. It is out of place/tone/character with the rest of the books. That is the biggest thing. It is a bit surreal.

Just answer this, does Bella act even more like a spoiled brat than in the last one? I'm getting a bit tired of her "I can't believe anyone likes me, let me put myself in needless danger" act. Towards the end of the last one I almost started rooting for Victoria.

I totally agree with you on the tone of the book. Completely different from the first 3. We end up with hugely different characters than we start with. Throws a lot of canon we thought we had right out the window.

Yes and no. She is just terrible in the wedding/honeymoon parts (so spoiled, so ungrateful, so manipulative). I don't want to say any more that will give too much away.

Yes, and it is not really character growth, which is always cool with me. It is more like disregard for character & world building of the first three books to serve what she wanted to do with the story now. That made the whole thing feel surreal to me.

OK..well granted I'm only 200 pages in..but I'll be the first to say I am really enjoying the book.

I'm totally surprised because after I read several of the spoilers I really was tied up in knots thinking I was going to HATE it!

Even though I'm surprised with some of the things that have happened, I am still completely drawn in to her writing. I have never read any other book series that makes me actually SEE whats happening as I read it. It's just so clear..so easy to picture.

I think the characters have changed and grown...especially Bella.

I loved the part during the wedding when she was so nervous and tied up in knots..UNTIL..she saw Edward standing at the end of the aisle and she realized all she wanted to do was RUN to him.

The only real big disappointment for me..I admit has been the love/sex scenes.
In Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse, all of the love scenes were SO steamy. She put so much detail into their kisses and touching..really built up the tension.

In Breaking Dawn...she just barely hints at what is about to happen..and then it's the next morning!

I totally get that she had to keep it PG-13, but you would think that she could have at least gone as far as she did in the other books!

Oh..and I love all the funny little bits. DD and I were sitting together reading and we would both laugh at the same time.

For better or worse..I'm definitely SO thrilled to have the rest of the book to look forward to today!!

I am on page 656 (got my book early lol) at first I was like what is going on but now I can not put the book down I LOVE IT I do not want it to end so keep reading do not get dissappointed
