See you there. The FP+ bookings will be nuts.May 27,2017 our last day there !
Pandora will be chaos - there is no two ways about that. There were long queues when 7DMT opened, when FEE opened, when Anna and Elsa began meeting. There is no getting away from big crowds and long queues for a new opening - it has to be expected.
Yes, rumors are rumors, and should be treated as such. But they are educated rumors, they are not just dates plucked out of the air. As @rteetz said, Pandora rumors were near enough bang-on. Late-may has been rumored for quite some time for Pandora.
That is a definite. Pandora is designed to be a nighttime land, as well as daytime. By that time, Rivers of Light will have also debuted. So expect DAK to be open until 10pm/11pm with evening EMH.Hopefully they will be announcing extended night time hours to the AK schedule. Pandora by night seems like the way to go here.
We will know that when FastPasses are released for the Avatar attractions. If a tiered system is implemented, I would expect to see the two Pandora rides in Tier 1, and the rest of the park in Tier 2.I have Animal Kingdom scheduled for June 2nd. When will we know if Animal Kingdom will be going to a Tier system like Epcot and DHS?
You are going to need as much time at AK as possible!! Pack your patience and be prepared to queue a long time!Yay! Last time we missed SDMT opening by a week, this time we'll be there for opening week!
Spreadsheet updates! Evening at DS out -- more time at the AK in.![]()
I agree with that assessment. If guests have no desire to book FPs for Pandora, they can book 3 Tier 2 FPs as their initial allotment. We will know that when FastPasses are released for the Avatar attractions. Wow! What an amazing birthday you are going to have! Tusker House AND Pandora opening! Eeeeek!! Have a magical time!So excited! That's not only the last day of my trip, but I already have Tusker House reservations for us that day and that actual day is my 39th birthday! WOOHOO! What a birthday present!
Yes, i'd expect to see the options being;I agree with that assessment. If guests have no desire to book FPs for Pandora, they can book 3 Tier 2 FPs as their initial allotment.
Rumored opening within the next 6 weeks. There is a possibility it may make some sort of debut/preview tonight to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We'll wait and see! It has taken way too long, but it is going to be amazing once it finally opens!!I hope Rivers of Light opens soon... but to be honest, I've lost all excitement about it now its just taken far too long I kind of no longer feel interested :/
But . . . . but . . . . . we both read the threads over the past five years. People hate Avatar, it's so "un Disney", everyone swears they aren't going, the attractions will be a walk-on, right? They are about to endure Anna & Elsa plus 7DMT times 10.
I'd love to say yes to that question, but unfortunately I think i'd be lyingBut . . . . but . . . . . we both read the threads over the past five years. People hate Avatar, it's so "un Disney", everyone swears they aren't going, the attractions will be a walk-on, right?
We're painfully aware of the technical battles they've gone through, but have there also been changes to the show itself? A couple of folks who saw one of the special preview showings last fall thought it was simply not a good enough show at the time. (And these are not people who just want princesses and the Fab Five everywhere they look - it was a legitimate assessment of what they saw.)We'll wait and see! I have heard that there have been major changes to the show since the preview - including a brand new ending (hence why it has taken so long since the special preview). We're painfully aware of the technical battles they've gone through, but have there also been changes to the show itself?
