Staying at the CR 12/02-12/05. Got ADRS and tix to Christmas Party. No dining plan. Doing party on 12/03 and want to check out decorations in the am. Have adr for late lunch/tea @ Grand Floridian,so do not want b-fast there. Have adr @ Ohana the night before, so will already tour it. Do not want Characters. WWYD and why : Trails End Buffet, Whispering Canyon, or Roaring Forks CS? Is there any other must sees w/ decent b-fast TS or CS? Traveling w/dh and 2dds(9&12). TIA

My husband and I love the all-you-can-eat family style breakfast at Whispering Canyon. (Ask for ketcup or straws for a fun surprise.) The food is some of the best I have had for breakfast. Plus, WL is beautiful for the holidays and you can see the lobby (and decorations) from the restaurant! The restaurant can get noisy, but that is part of the fun of it. My husband and I don't have kids and we still love the atmoshere. Roaring Forks is just a quick grab-and-go place and the seating area leaves a lot to be desired (unless you go outside).

I would go for Whispering Canyon, just to check out the decorations at Wilderness Lodge. I've never been there for breakfast but have done dinner a couple of times. It is very noisy but a lot of fun. If that's not your cup of tea, you could always just grab a cs breakfast from Roaring Forks and settle down in front of a roaring fire in one of the many nooks in WL or head over to the villas and grab yourself a comfy leather rocking chair. Aaah! I wish I was there right now!

Your question is kind of broad to give you any advice. The only thing I can determine is to not recommend Ohana, 1900 Park Fare, Grand Floridian Cafe or Gasparilla Grill.

What are you looking for? TS? CS? Eggs to order? Family style? Tonga toast?

I usually stay at WL and just get something at Roaring Fork and take it outside to eat with the ducks.
