We ate dinner there in Dec. It was inedible. I had to get something to eat later since there was nothing palatable at the buffet. I will usually give a place another shot, But Chef Mickey's for dinner is WAY off my list.

There were too many "different" foods at dinner for my liking but the turkey, prime rib, salad and shrimp were good.

We have only had breakfast and my family loved it. I have heard pretty bad reviews about the dinner so I am a little afraid to try it.

Never been there for dinner, but I have read good reviews. I thought it was supposed to be one of the better dinner buffets.

I agree, I would nnot go there agian to eat period! I voted for dinner though, if you are going to go - we did both (not going again EVER for a 3rd time though) but I would rather pay extra for dinner, then the price you do for scrambled eggs!

 We only had dinner at Chef Mickey's but we all thought it was wonderful. Only 2 things we didn't like - the birds all over the place and how cold it was in the room.

Birds all over the place?

Yes, because the monorail runs through the lobby (Upper floor - you can see it from the restaurant if I remember right) and Chef Mickey is basically in the lobby (separated from the main areas by plants and a half wall I think) the birds will fly in through the monorail opening and swoop around the room - including the restaurant. Yuck. :rolleyes2

hmm - i think i was too grossed out with the food to notice the birds lol

i mean the checken was uncooked, was served blood and all, the checken nuggets in the kids part were frozen not cooked at all, literally still frozen, I think they forgot to cook stuff that night! My DS 7 still remembers it from 3 years ago lol

:scared1: EEEWWW! Thank goodness we had a better experience!

We've had both. We liked the breakfast better, have done that twice. We've only done dinner once, and it wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best. We are going to try it again though, the night we ate there was the night hurricane Jeanne was coming, they were closing the MK at 7, which meant transportation back to our resort would be ending, we were tired from traveling, had bumped our trip up by two days to avoid traveling on the day the hurricane was coming and airport closing, we were nervous, and it just wasn't a good evening. We did find several things we liked at the buffet and the characters/servers were fine, so we will be trying it again.

We had Chef Mickey's for our first dinner of the trip and loved it. It really got us into the magic of Disney. This year we are doing the breakfast on our first day.

We did both this past trip. We had dinner our first night at Chef Mickeys, and breakfast twice. The dinner was nice. The prime rib was good and the other food wasn't fabulous but good. It was a little chaotic and loud though although the character interaction was great. We loved breakfast there though. All the food was fabulous. My DS who is the pickiest eater usually, ate himself silly there both days. And it was alot quieter and less crazy. We did have early ADRs both days at 7:50 which may have factored into it.

we really love chef mickey's . but we usually go right when they open. The food is usually fresh when they first put it out. My DS always requests it.

We had dinner there this past Dec. It was great! Our kids loved it!!! The food was the same as 1900 Park Fare & CP -- Not absolutely the very best, but very good and lots to choose from!
