we will be staying at the RPR in mid-june...
what are our breakfast options? When I look at dining options I only see a breakfast buffet. At $17 per person, I don't think we would want that everyday. I also know there is room service, but that is so pricey !! Is there a good character breakfast somewhere, something my DS (age 6) would enjoy?

how about the luau at RPR? is it worth the money? food and entertainment wise...

We always eat in the RPR Islands Dinning Room with the buffet. But we get a discount whick is about $13 and change per person for all you can eat and drink. The cont brreakfast in the Orchid Lounge can get alittle pricy if you have maybe a bagle, cereal, and OJ might be about $10 so for $3 more our better deal and food is the buffet.:thumbsup2

Bluer101, how do you get the discount??? $13 a person sounds better than $16 a person, and for my family it would save us quite a bit.

AP holder.:thumbsup2 I wanna say its about $13 but I know there is a discount given for it.

We will be staying at the Portofino and I was also wondering about breakfast options. Is there a place to just grab a coffee and a muffin or even a quick bowl of cereal at the hotel?

there is a little cafe for quick breakfasts, but for a great breakfast you can't beat their pancakes, sausage or bacon, and eggs for $10.50ish. Definitely enough to feed 2 people. :goodvibes

We run out early and get Cinnabons in CW with a coffee from Starbucks or milk it runs $6 apiece and takes 15 minutes.

we are staying in a standard room...is there a fridge, microwave, coffepot in the room? or can you rent? we could pack something for like 2 days then uy for the other 3. I would also like to take some bottled water. so much cheaper then buying there.

There is a Keurig coffee maker. You can rent a fridge for a fee and there is no microwave.

Just found my receipt for breakfast from trattoria. 2 short stacks (2 eggs how you want them, stack of pancakes, and choice of meat) was $23, 1 custom omelet was 12.95. The killer was the coffee $3--and you got better from the room. So, I'd make it and take it down and put in a pretty cup. Whole meal was $46.48, but it was more than enough for 4 of us.

we would stroll to citywalk and have the breakfast pizza at pastamore. i piece was enough for 2 people. cinnabon is just right there also.

Our favourite breakfast is from Boulangerie at USF. It is the breakfast egg croissant. Fresh croissant topped with a scrambled egg, choice of ham or bacon and melted cheddar cheese. And they add a few pieces of fruit. It is very, very yummy and pretty cheap.

Wow,we have APs too and I didn't know this. Is yours a Preferred or Premium?:confused3
Prefered AP, we just got back and it was $39.00 for me, DW and DS for the buffet. The reciept shows $4.14 discount which is 10%. it's still worth every penny for the buffet.
