We have an early ressie for breakfast before AK opens. Has anybody done this before? If our ressie is at 8:10 and the park opens at 9:00 will we have enough time to eat and be ready to hit the attractions when the park opens?
Also, how is the food? Is it a buffet? What i served? I read somewhere that the characters are dressed in Christmas outfits. Is this true? What characters are at this breakfast?
Thanks in Advance for any information!!!:D

The breakfast is a buffet (standard stuff except for Krispy Kreme donuts and something called a breakfast pizza...was pretty good) . Mickey, Goofy, Pluto and Donald are the characters. They all wore safari outfits when we were there (May02). Advise getting to the AK gate early (7:45 am) as you will then be one of the first called to be escorted to the restaurant and therefore the first to see the characters. After breakfast you walk right out to Dinosaurland and can ride the Dinosaur ride before anone else gets there. Hope you enjoy....we had a great time.

We did it this past February. We had a ps for 8:10am and was able to eat and get pics with all the characters and be 1st on the Dinosaur ride when the park opened. It worked out very well!:D

We had an 8:10am PS in August. When we got to AK, there was a seperate line outside of the gates for the breakfast people. I think they started letting us in around 8am. We had to go to a table, check in, then they called out our names and took us to the restaurant in groups of 5 families or so. We had plenty of time to eat, take pics w/ the characters, and walk to the safari. The gates opened as we were walking to the safari. :) It is a buffet w/ standard buffet food. I have also heard that the breakfast does have a christmas theme right now.

It is standard breakfast buffet fare. I found it to be very, very noisy compared to other WDW restaurants.

We ate breakfast there on Nov. 27. We had a reservation for 9:00, got there at 8:15 and they took us on in.

The buffet, what I can remember, consisted of scrambled eggs, hash browns, a hash brown casserole, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and a breakfast pizza. There was also another buffet with cheeses, bagels, fruit, etc.

Donald, Goofy, Mickey and Pluto came around to see us dressed up for Christmas.

Our waiter was the CM that walked us into the park. He was very nice and never "hurried" us. Stopped along the way giving us trivia about Animal Kingdom.

There is also a photo opportunity before you enter the restaurant where they take your picture and then come around during your meal to see if you want to purchase any pictures.

The food was good, but it was hard to swallow paying $70.00 for breakfast.
