Breakfast confusion

Now, I am a resourceful person. I thought I understood DDP. Then my mom decided she'll want to split breakfast and lunch with me while we're there. Ok fine. BUT, breakfast is THE most confusing piece of the whole thing.

We're at POP. (Here's a link to their breakfast menu: http://allearsnet.com/menu/menu_popb.htm)

So, for breakfast I can get a beverage and an entree but no side item? I can get juice and the waffle platter but not juice, yogurt with granola and a fruit cup?

It seems silly to allow so much less food for CS breakfasts. Maybe the food has a lower profit margin?

It makes more sense to pay cash for my morning yogurt and fruit... unless I have extra credits as the week goes on.

I agree - if they take away the "dessert" for a CS breakfast, they should allow a "side" item of fruit, etc. I love starting the day with a good breakfast! I do feel like I should save my CS credits for something with a better value/more food, and pay OOP for breakfast.

I honestly don't understand it either. When we were there last week we used a few CS credits at the hotel, but ONLY because they were leftover credits after I accounted for all lunches and dinners (including lunch and dinner on the last day of our stay which didn't fall under the DDP).

I'll do the same when I'm under the free dining plan. I'll share meals to conserve credits and first apply the credits to the uncovered last day of the stay. After that, I'll use them to purchase breakfasts again.

I agree completely that hotel breakfasts are a complete waste of DDP credits, but I'm not above using them if they are for meals that I wouldn't otherwise have gotten if not for the meal-sharing.
