I have ADR for Cape May, never been there... don't even know how to get to this resort... but anyhoooo, I'm open for something new.

But I was thinking which is better?

Cape May or 1900 Park Fare?
and let me add Chef Mickeys.

Thanks for any info.

We have eaten Breakfast at both and prefer 1900PF. The breakfast at Cape May is fine with the usual stuff and DS loved the Krispy Kreme donuts they had the last time we were there, but 1900PF has the make your own omlette station and I think the variety of the food and the freshness is above par. We have chosen to have late xmas morning breakfast the past 2 years here and wil do the same this year. We plan for 10:30 or later(we don't go to a park on the holiday) and really enjoy a terrific meal. Also love Mad Hatter, Alice and Tigger!
Connears

I decided to go with Chef Mickey's at 7 am

Yikes 7 am!!! But we're leaving that moring so we'll be able to head home early!

Cape May is our all time favorite and we eat there once or twice on each trip. The fresh fruit, yogurt parfait bar and bread pudding are awesome. The characters in their bathing suits are adorable and you get to spend alot of time with them since the place is not that busy and it is nice and quiet.

Did 1900 Park Fare once last Dec and it was so loud I could not hear myself think, did not get any character interaction at all and the food was horrible, salty, over cooked and dried out.

I don't know which one to decide on- between Chef Mickey's and Cape May now. Hmmmmm....

We did Chef Mickey for dinner and loved the characters, the place does get rowdy and has a high noise level too but it was fun...the food was HORRIBLE. I want to try breakfast there but it is always booked solid.

Cape May has Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale in bathing suits, they come around often and interact with you alot. THey talk to you by writing on the paper tablecloths, play tic tac toe etc. The food is amazing. The yogurt bar has plain and I think strawberry yogurt, granola, all types of nuts, huge strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, there are nut and fruit breads, bread pudding, blintzes, carved ham, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy with biscuits, Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, some omelet dish, potatoes with onions and peppes, hash brown casserole, bagels and cream cheese, lox, all types of breads, donuts, asparagus, croissants and chocolate ones too! 4 types of cereals, grits, oatmeal with all the add ins, cottage cheese, fresh cheese, hard boiled eggs, oranges, red grapefruit, watermelon, grapes, bananas, pineapple, cantelope and honeydew...there are more things but I forget!

I've been to all three and I really don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

1900 Park Faire has different characters that you don't see at most of the other character breakfasts. When I went (which was 6 years ago) we saw Alice, Princess Aurora, Pinocchio, Gepetto and Mary Poppins. I think that buffet had the biggest selection of food also.

Chef Mickey's is also fun, but it's also very popular and loud. It's the only one of the three where you'll see Mickey.

Cape May Cafe is also really nice. It's inside the Beach Club so the characters wear their beachwear. It's the most quiet of the three and less crowded, so you're more likely to get more character interaction at this one.

I think whichever one you chose you'll enjoy. And just chose a different one next time! That's what we always do! Most recently we went to Park Faire in 2001, Chef Mickey's in 2005, Cape May Cafe in January 2006 and again in May 2006 (we had reservations for Ohana but people in my group ended up not wanting to go there the day before so we went to Cape May Cafe again instead) and our next trip we're going to do Crystal Palace.
