Anyone been to this breakfast? We have been to CM, and loved it...MS booked this for us in May at Polynesian. Can we bus over from SSR to Polynesian, or do we have to go to MK and hop a monorail? Thanks!!

We haven't had breakfast there since shortly after it changed to 'Ohana. But yes, you must get to the MK or another park to catch transportation to the Polynesian.

If your reservation is early, catch the MK bus and mention to the driver where you are headed. Apparently if the drivers have time they occasionally will drop off passengers at the monorail hotel after hitting the MK. Anecdotes only here.

If your breakfast is later, you could catch whichever bus comes first....Epcot or MK. At Epcot just hop the monorail to the TTC. Then board the resort monorail or walk to the Polynesian. It may sound complicated but is probably as fast as going to the MK and making the transfer to the resort monorail if the Epcot bus arrives first.

There is also a delightful launch that goes MK>GF>Polynesian but it doesn't operate until close to park opening.

If you're at SSR, you can walk to the marketplace DTD bus stop and catch a bus to the Poly (or any resort).

We enjoyed breakfast at Ohana. The character interaction was great.

Breakfast at O'hana is one of our absolute favorites! It has become a must do every trip.

We LOVE O'hana! Our boys are begging to go back 2x this next trip...the food was terrific! :thumbsup2

starbox, do you know how early those buses begin running?

Unfortunately, we were just there last week for the Stitch breakfast. It was our worst meal of the week and the one I looked forward to the most. It took 2 hours for the characters to get to our table. Our waiter even told the manager after 1.5 hours that we were still waiting and the manager did nothing.
The food was good, but wasn't worth the price.
However, the dinner there was fantastic! Our best meal of the week!

We went to the character breakfast at Ohana a few years ago. I liked the "character" part but back then (not sure if it still is) the "breakfast" part was served family style which I don't particularly care for just because the food goes to waste if it's not eaten rather than a buffet where you take what you want hopefully with little or no waste.

We absolutely loved our breakfast at O'hanas in August. The character interaction was great. They had a little parade with the kids. My boys had a blast. The food was good, too.

We agree! We went on the last day of our trip, which was the day after Labor Day. We took our time and we have tons of pictures with all of the characters! I wouldn't say it was the best breakfast we have had at Disney, but it was good. I have to say, I love those big thick mickey waffles and I don't really like waffles!:rotfl: The view was great we were right by the window looking at the castle!

I know the marketplace busses run before the PI ones - I think 8 or 9am - if you ask guest services at SSR, I'm sure they can let you know.

My sister and I were there a couple of weeks ago and loved it! It was on a Friday during Lent and they even made us a vegetarian dish to go along with some pretty delicious eggs. All the characters visited. I think we were there a bit over an hour but the time passed quickly.

We have always gone to valet in the front of the hotels and asked for a cab. They are sometimes sitting there waiting and they aren't that expensive. Much quicker then taking the bus to a park or monorail. Good luck!:cheer2:

Ohana's is my family's favorite place to get breakfast!! The food is unstoppable - no matter how full you are, you want to get just 'one more bite' in because it's so good!! And, the juice!!! AAAHHH!!! I wish I could find it in stores, but nothing comes close. Don't hesitate another minute . . . call and make your reservation.

We always take a bus to MK, then catch a monorail from there. From SSR, though, I may get a bus from SSR to downtown, then a bus from downtown to Poly. The excitement of Ohana's makes it seem like a long ride no matter how you go, so just enjoy the trip.

If you have an early morning ressie then you might
have to cab it, if MK is open (or close to opening)
then you could go to the ticket and transp. and either get
the monorail or even walk:thumbsup2

as far as the food...
this is the only restaurant that we won't go to again. EVER:scared:

You can't get to the TTC directly using WDW transportation. If you have a car, that's a great way to do it.

I still worry about the suggestion to go to DTD and catch a Polynesian bus. The only complaints I usually see about the Polynesian are about DTD buses. I would think it cuts both directions. And since the stores at DTD don't open all that early, I doubt the buses run early...or at least very often.
