Breakfast at Kona.....let's grab a table!!

Hey Linda...woohoo 89!:cheer2: Hey girl...I don't know any dumb blondes around here...do you?:rotfl: I've thought about martial arts for the boys...actually I think it would be fun to take a family class. I've been trying to walk/run a little the last couple of weeks. I was getting ot of breath just walking to my car.:rolleyes1

Donna...wow, I didn't realize that basketball went that late into the summer. That is great for Nathan...keeping him busy and in shape. My youngest DS wants to go to Disneyland someday...he wants to visit California. It would be so much fun to pick the boys up from school on their last day and go straight to the airport! Although this summer it would be straight to a campground.:rolleyes1

Hi Pozey...thanks for the links for the swimming. If DS gets bad news back on his knee in June we may just check into some additional swim options. How does Courtney like the swimming? Does she compete? How does everyone like their new school? Sorry for all the questions...just curious about the kiddos!:)

Michele...those are great pictures. Does Matt know he is famous?:rotfl: He looked like he was having tons of fun. How did the haircut look?:rolleyes1 Good luck with the college selection.:goodvibes

Lesa...I'm glad your meeting went well. I hope they match Maddie with a good teacher next year. When is shcool out?

Hi Dznyfan...did you see the sun today?;) It was little strange this afternoon with all the sunshine. How is DD? Does she have her plans for next year? I'm glad you dropped by.

Hmmm...I'm out of time! Not a lot to report...both boys seem to always have a project or a report for school. Oldest DS also has had several field trips. It is his last year in elementary shcool.:sad1: I'm sad but he's pretty excited!

Good morning, everyone!!

Well, I actually got up before my alarm went off this morning, so I guess I have time to post.:surfweb::goodvibes

YourMajesty:: Nathan's team is actually a traveling summer team, so we knew that the season would go through the summer. Yep, no laying around for him this summer.:rolleyes1:yay:
I'll have to admit that you have the right idea about starting summer vacation......catching a plane to Anaheim!!:woohoo:

Linda:: Never mind about a Bakugan.....I Googled it and got my answer.;)

I've made something special this morning, so I sure hope you are all able to see it.:cool2:

I hope you all have a Thoroughly Wonderful Thursday!!:flower3:

Good morning everyone.

I hope you wonderful ladies don't mind a strange fella to pop in and say hi now and again....

DznyFan...I spent just a little bit of time last night looking at some of your pictures you have posted recently on the Photography board. Let me just say "WOW". Excellent work.

Hi Pozey...thanks for the links for the swimming. If DS gets bad news back on his knee in June we may just check into some additional swim options. How does Courtney like the swimming? Does she compete? How does everyone like their new school? Sorry for all the questions...just curious about the kiddos!:)
Hello my dear majestic one...

Feel free to ask me any swim questions you may have. Not only does SwimTulsa have a USA Swimming club team (that's the team Chase & Colton swim for), but they also have a learn-to-swim program. They start at level 1 - which is generally 3 - 4 year olds, and they go up through level 10 depending on skill and learning level.

Courtney has moved up to Level 5. She swims twice a week for 40 minutes each. She loves swimming. She doesn't compete yet. She will soon be able to compete in the mini meets that the club holds about every 3 months or so. It's just an intra-squad meet they hold there at the pool.

I will be running across the country soon. I have to drive Colton down to Austin, Texas for a swim camp on May 30th. Then go back and pick him up the following Friday.

A week later, I am driving the kids to St. Louis so they can meet their mother. They are going to North Carolina with her for a week. Again, a week later, I will be back in St. Louis to pick them up.

It's not a blonde thing; I thought the same thing at first!!
YourMajesty:: Yes, we had a busy weekend. Nathan's basketball lasts until July 21st. We leave for California on the 25th.

Linda:: congrats on the micro-biology grade!! I must admit that science and biology wre not exactly my best subjects in school.
You're a great mom for asking Kenny how things are going at school. I have to ask....what is a Bakugan.

Well, had better check out for the evening.

Hopefully, I'll get up in time tomorrow morning to serve breakfast.
ok, I admit, it took me awhile too:rolleyes1:rotfl:

July 21st...wow, that's a long season! You'll have to tell him good luck and cheer him on for all of us:cheer2::woohoo: I wish we were closer and could come watch him play, he's such a sweetheart!

Thanks...I didn't do the greatest in biology in HS...so I was afraid I'd struggle:scared:but it's mostly memorization and lab isn't too bad, thank goodness! Petri dishes aren't all that tough:laughing:
yeah, silly Bakugan are a lot like the Pokemon stuff:headache:now he gets a Bakugan for every goal he scores:rotfl: nothing like bribery:rolleyes1:laughing:
thanks so much:hug: He is my world! I just want to give him the best life I can!! These psychology classes sure coming in handy too

nope...I don't know any around here:laughing: a family martial arts class would be so awesome! I'd love to do it w/Kenny! Definately help get my booty back in shape. I can totally relate about being out of breath trying to walk around campus:sad2:
OMG DL would be so awesome! I went about 5 years ago and loved it! Next time I'll have to take Kenny b/c I was in the area for a convention last time...just a few days, but I made sure to go to both parks and do some shopping at DTD...no way could I be like...across the street from DL and NOT go:laughing:
I hope he gets a good dr. report next month!! prayers and pixy dust!!
last year of elem. school:eek:where does the time go:guilty:

Good morning everyone.

I hope you wonderful ladies don't mind a strange fella to pop in and say hi now and again....

DznyFan...I spent just a little bit of time last night looking at some of your pictures you have posted recently on the Photography board. Let me just say "WOW". Excellent work.
Hey there pozey! Hope all is well. 4 1/2 hrs a day, my head is still spinning on that one... Colton sure is disciplined to practice that much! That's amazing! I wish I could swim a lot! Great exercise for sure, and wouldn't hurt my foot!!

That is great Courtney is getting right in there too! Awesome!!

:eek:wow, that's a LOT of miles!! be careful!!

I hope everyone has a great day!! Dznyfan....I love your pics! that new camera is awesome, and of coarse it has to the the photographer. I think I have a decent camera, I just have to learn to use it properly:rolleyes1:laughing:

I better get going and head to the lab to do some math....fun fun!

I've made something special this morning, so I sure hope you are all able to see it.:cool2:

That looks GOOOOOOD.

Dznyfan....I love your pics! that new camera is awesome, and of coarse it has to the the photographer. I think I have a decent camera, I just have to learn to use it properly:rolleyes1:laughing:

I either read this, or someone told me this one time...

Somebody said that another person complimented their photograph and said "That is a beautiful picture. You must have a nice camera." And they replied "Do you go to a restaurant and tell a chef...'That meal was excellent. You must have great cookware.' "

It's not always about the equipment. DznyFan has a great eye for photography and it shows.

I've seen Linda's pictures as well...she has the same great eye.

TGIF!!!:cool1::yay::cool1:

I am hoping that we have absolutley NOTHING planned for this weekend. Nathan does have ball practice tonight, but I think I'm staying home and cleaning house while the guys are away.:laughing:

We actually managed to get all of the lawn mowed before the rain started last night....that's a big accomplishment!!

I'm going to try posting some Mickey Waffles again this morning; we'll see what happens.

I hope you all have a Fantasmic Friday!!:smickey:

Hi Dznyfan...did you see the sun today?;) It was little strange this afternoon with all the sunshine. How is DD? Does she have her plans for next year? I'm glad you dropped by.
I did not know what that thing in the sky was! and the sky was a funny color - blue? Not gray? I thought something was wrong!
Glad to see/hear that you and the family are all well and busy. Are the boys taking up swimming? Did I see that right?
The girl? We actually hit the road next Friday to drive to Florida - moving her down there for a few months. She's doing the CP this semester as a character performer. Bittersweet, because she's worked so hard for this and we're very proud, but we'll miss her. I guess we'll be seeing a lot of Florida between now and January. I think we're headed down in July and then again in the fall, and early in December.

I hope everyone has a great day!! Dznyfan....I love your pics! that new camera is awesome, and of coarse it has to the the photographer. I think I have a decent camera, I just have to learn to use it properly:rolleyes1:laughing:

Thank you both - very kind of you!

Lesa - good to see you! I'm so sorry you're still having window issues and problems with the school regarding Maddie. I was thinking about you, and this just hasn't been your year! I really hope things start to get resolved before long.

Michele - GREAT pictures from Relay for Life! You must be SO proud of Matt, what with being Mr. Relay and all... (really, you should be proud of him) Doesn't he graduate this year? How's Miss Lilly?

Linda - you're kicking butt in school, aren't you? I tell you, you're going to make a great nurse!

Good morning!

Donna, sorry sweetie I can't see you're waffles but that's o.k. I'm on a diet. I think you should sit and relax while the guys are gone, not clean. Save that for a rainy day!;)

Dznyfan I'm glad you decided to come and join us, we've missed you. I have to confess I did find you on the Photography board when I peaking over there. Your photos are absolutely gorgeous! I don't think last year was my year either. :rolleyes1:lmao: I don't know I think I broke a mirror a few years ago or something. :upsidedow How is E doing? Oh and how is that pup of yours?

Linda congrats girl on your grades! :cheer2: How is Mike adjusting to his meds? I hope they are working for him.

I hate hate hate to watch my kids learn lessons by natural consequences! But I guess that is the only way they will learn sometimes. I have been telling Britt that she needs to keep up on her tumbling and stay in shape if she wanted to try out for cheer again. She had her back hand spring so she thought she was good to go and kept saying she do tumbling the next session.....4 sessions later she decided she'd better buckle down as they had their first cheer meeting on Monday. Both girls started tumbling last night. First let me tell you that Britt's coach is a "hot" 16yr old guy (she claims he's not hot, but I could tell by her look she thought he was). OMG! It was the most painful hour I had to sit through and watch. The class kicked her butt! She totally lost her back hand spring, all the muscles in her arms and legs, not to mention she is just totally out of shape from a winter of doing nothing. The poor girl fell on her head so many times I lost count and falling on the floor. :sad2: About 20min into the class you could tell she was tired and frustrated, but she kept going. I thought she was going to fall on the mat and die she looked that bad. Also they are small classes so you are constantly doing something, no breaks waiting for your turn. All the parents watching were all flinching every time she did something. :sad2: At one point the owner went up to her and asked her if she was o.k.:sad2: It was bad! I really at that point wanted her to stop because I couldn't bare to watch anymore and told her to take a break, but she kept going:scared: by the end of the class she looked whipped and the "hot" guy coach asked her if she was still breathing. :rolleyes1 She came home and went straight to bed, but not before I heard "I wish I had listened to you mom"! I wish I could say I took victory in those words, but I didn't. I felt sad that I had to watch her suffer out there, watch her throw her pride aside and do it over and over again. :sad1: I know she learned a valuable lesson yesterday, one I could never teach! It just sucked watching her learn it.:guilty:

Maddie did great by the way, but she was careful not to ask how she did in front of her sister. She said she felt so bad for her because every time she looked she was falling on her head. :upsidedow

aww thanks!!! yes, Dznyfan does have a great eye for photography! But....so do you!!! I still remember that one you posted of Courtney a few years ago:cloud9:

whoo hoo! that is always good! Mowing is NOT my favorite thing, thankfully that homework keeps calling:rolleyes1:rotfl2:

Next FRI!!!:yay::woohoo:that is awesome!!! do you know who she'll be yet:rolleyes1:yay: I wanna go see her SOOOO bad!!! that would be just too awesome!! I'm glad you'll get to go see her several times!:cloud9: I know you'll miss her like crazy!!

I'm sure trying!!! I do try to study a lot and am pretty darn disciplined, if I don't say so myself:laughing: It is a lot of info, I'd rather be on top of it than worry!! THANK YOU SO MUCH:hug: you know I'll give it my all! Definately something I can pour my heart into!

Good morning!

Linda congrats girl on your grades! How is Mike adjusting to his meds? I hope they are working for him.

please don't ever be offended by my deleting portions of your guys' posts...I just try to put it into one screen so I don't forget something:guilty: not that I STILL don't manage to forget to say things I meant to anyway:blush:
Thanks so much!! I'm so happy!! The hard work will certainly pay off!!
Mike is feeling the transition for sure. He is in more pain, but hopefully once he's all the way on the new one...it'll help!

OMG poor Britt!! She's such a trooper!! It does feel good to hear "mom you were right"...but we hate to see them suffer. Too cute he was "hot":cool2:
Maddie is so sweet! That was so thoughtful of her to show empathy toward her sister like that.:cloud9:

Mikes dad got out of the hospital today, kidney stones! The poor man lost 14 # in ONE day!!! Man I wish I could do that, just not the same way he did. Apparently he's had it there for like 40 years:eek:I've never heard of that! wow!
Kenny is out w/one of his buddies out to eat and to a movie...Mike is watching "the race" and I finished up some homework and HAD to come post. I have stopped in a few times to read, but seems like I never have much time. Or, if I have some quiet time, I know it has to be in the books.quiet is hard to find sometimes!!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hello kids....

Hi Donna...That's great that Nathan will be active and busy with his traveling basketball team. Everyone will be ready for a vacation in July! I wish we could have taken a trip to Anaheim at the end of the school year...I need to get a job at Southwest.;) Did you get your cleaning done?:rolleyes1

Hey Pozey...thanks for the info. How much swimming experience did your boys have before they joined the club team? That's great for Courtney...I'm sure she will enjoy the mini meets especially if she has been to the boys meets a lot! Good luck to Colton at his camp. Looks like you will be on the road a bunch soon...be safe.:drive:

Hi Linda...yeah, I agree...I don't know any of those blondes either!;) I've had so many people recommend marital arts for the boys. My oldest DS did take it for a few months in kindergarten. Maybe someday we'll find a good class for the whole family. I went to a conference in Anaheim in 04 and took DH! We stayed in the DL hotel. We had a night pass to get into DL and California Adventure. We walked home every night shopping our way through DTD!:cheer2: Thanks for your P&PD! I think we do another MRI to see if the knee is healed sometime this summer. I'm not sure how this school year dashed by so quickly. DS will be at a center with 650 other 6th graders next year. I guess I'm going to let him go. Oh, I'm in total agreement with DznyFan...you will make a great nurse! What movie did Kenny go see? Good to hear Mike's dad is better...was his kidney damaged after having a kidney stone for that long?

Hi DznyFan! I need to check out your pics.::yes:: Haha...I know what you mean...we still can't hang onto those blue skies for very long. We'll have to remember this converstaion in August!:rolleyes1 Yes, we are doing well. I did enroll the boys in some swim lessons. If DS's knee does not improve I might put him into something more competitve so he can stay in shape! How exciting for the girl! I bet she is ready to go....and what a perfect need for extra visits. Have a safe trip.pixiedust: We are still planning on Thanksgiving week but haven't ruled out October.:cheer2:

Hey Lesa...Does it actually help not to see the waffles because I need help!:rolleyes1 I'm sorry Britt had such a hard time at tumbling...winter can be brutal when it comes to getting out of shape. I always think natural consequences are the best. I'm glad she didn't quit...I bet she was pretty sore the next couple of days...tell her to hang in there.:cheer2: That was sweet of Maddie to not rub it in and great that she did so well.

What's everyone doing tomorrow?

Happy Mother's Day!

Good morning and...

Happy Mother's Day!!:flower3:

Here's a little breakfast in bed this morning.:cloud9:

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all of my wonderful DIS friends who are mothers.

Hope your day is SPECIAL!!

mothers-day-rose.jpg

Good morning, and a very HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all our moms (and dads who are both mom AND dad)

Lesa - I know what you mean about it being tough to watch our kids learn from their consequences, but I guess that's the best way for them to learn. We hate to see them unhappy or hurting, either physically or emotionally, but in the long run I suppose its good for them. No, last year wasn't your year either, but lots of pixie dust to you and your family that things turn around for you!

Linda - No, she has no idea. In their official offer paperwork there is a code that is used (for example, her roommate's said "MOUSE") but hers and a small handful of others she has gotten to know who have the same job were quite vague. We do know they photographed her to take back to Orlando to put wigs on the pictures, and her code was PFLA - we can only guess either Performer Florida, or Potential Face Look Alike. We do know that it's not for dance, it is for Character Performer and that she was pooled for "Face". She will have to do "Fur" as well, as it's kind of a 'paying your dues' kind of thing. I don't think she'll know until she's been in training.

YM - poor DS! I hope his knee problems work out! Lots of prayers and pixie dust for you guys! Well, a few more days of overcast and rain for us, but we're supposed to have sun later in the week. Hooray!! Yes, lots of trips to Florida - a great excuse!! November will be a great time to go, I think - Food and Wine Festival time... enjoy your trip!

Now that we're on the last week prior to the move we're quite blue. It's starting to get tough to just get up off my butt and do little things around here. It's not helping that she's struggling with some anxiety (she's been diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder) but I keep telling myself everything is going to be FINE. I spent most of the day yesterday writing her a long letter which I will put in a card I got for her and hide in her packing for her to open when she unpacks and finds it. I hope its the 'right' thing to do. I don't want to make her miss home any more than she already will. Thank goodness for webcams and Skype!!!

I'll catch up with you all later - have a WONDERFUL Mother's Day!

We had a "go to the park and let dad take pictures" day yesterday...

I took several hundred pictures....and ended up with a few decent ones...

Here are just a couple....the rest you can see here: http://pozeyfamily.shutterfly.com once I finish loading them...

I'll have to get Kenny in for now. Maybe when my feet are better, I'll join him.
That DL hotel is beautiful! incredible view of the park too! I love that coaster:woohoo:reminds me of RnR but outside! yeah, I wish I could shop my way "home" everyday!! Yeah, this year flew by!! I sure hope his knee is better soon! Poor guy!! Thanks, you know my heart is sure in it!!:lovestruc Kenny went to the $1 theater to see "Hotel for Dogs", I think it is. He said it was cute. I'm not sure about his dad. You get so many stories:headache:his mom was saying they might remove the kidney if they can't get the stone broken up:confused3 I've never heard of that, let alone having kidney stones for 40 years!

Good morning and...

Here's a little breakfast in bed this morning.:cloud9:
oh wow!!! thank you so much:hug: that is awesome! quite a treat, I could get use to this pampering:laughing::cloud9:

Just being there will be awesome! She'll be a great character for sure! the letter in the luggage is a great and very sweet idea! we'll be praying for her!!ok, and you. I know how us parents can be ;) we're here for ya! I hope the webcams and Skype help her through.

We had a "go to the park and let dad take pictures" day yesterday...

awesome!! great pics! I'll have to check more out after I get this darn ENG paper wrote:sad2::headache:

Hello kids....
Hi right back atcha!

SwimTulsa is both a club team (competitive) and a learn to swim program.

Actually, there are 2 separate entities...SwimTulsa is the name of the club team, SwimAmerica is the name of the learn to swim program. SwimAmerica accepts all levels of ability. From beginner to advanced, regardless of age.

But...as far as the SwimTulsa club team, you have to be at least 9 years old, and complete level 10 in SwimAmerica. SwimAmerica has lessons Monday - Friday beginning at 6:00 pm. They also have lessons during the day during summer.
