Breakfast at Kona.....let's grab a table!!

Good mornining, everyone!!

My goodness, what happened to the weekend?
Nathan had home games on Saturday and Sunday. they lost on Sat., but won on Sunday.:cheer2::cheer2: My mom and sis actually came to the game yesterday. Nathan did score a free throw, but really didn't play very much.

Michele:: Sounds like you had a busy weekend!! congrats to Matt's team for walking in the Relay for Life!! That is an awesome thing to do and something not all teenagers woould want to do.
Yes!! We'll want to see some pictures!!:cool1:

Maureen:: Way to go on the walk!! You and Steve make a wonderful couple!! Gee....I almost have tears in my eyes.

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends.

Hopefully I'll be able to post something that will actually work today. the other morning it was poder sugar covered Mickey Waffles. they looked so good, too.
How about a littel tonga Toast this morning? I'll race you to the Polynesian.:dance3:

Hey Donna...thanks for the yummy snack and breakfast!:woohoo: Sounds like basketball is keeping you busy...how long does the season last? Glad your mom and sister made it out to a game...I'm sure Nathan enjoyed some extra fans!:cheer2:

Linda...I sure hope Mike does better on the Topimax. I've heard that it has some nasty side effects but one of my friends take it and she seems to do ok. I'm so glad that his 'dementia' symptoms are going away. Wow, it sounds like you are learning some good information in microbiology! I never had anitbiotics growing up...only big fat shots in my backside for strep a few times.:scared1: I've taken them a lot more as an adult for sinus infections.:headache:

Hi Lesa...how did the painting go? It always reminds me how badly our halls and trim need to be painted. Wow, it sure sounds like Britt could have had the flu. I agree about the panic seeming a little overboard?:confused3

Well, I'm off to do the Monday morning laundry.:laundy:

YIKES!! I killed your thread....

I'm sorry....:guilty:

Happy Cinco De Mayo!

YIKES!! I killed your thread....

I'm sorry....:guilty:

I was thinking the same thing!!! :rolleyes1:lmao: Sorry, JK!:flower3: How are the kids?

Well I have a meeting at school tomorrow. I noticed a few more people were added to the list to attend. I say "Bring it on"! ;) I'm hoping the teacher is not included as that is what I requested. I don't think I could hold myself back from going off on her, the last time I did she ended up crying. :rolleyes1

Poor Maddie, yesterday she came home in tears because she was the only one out of all her friends not to be invited to a birthday party. She was so sad. :sad1: I told her we would go do something fun that day. The bad thing is the girl whose party it is lives right behind us (our backyards are connected) so I will defiantly have to make sure we are not home.:guilty:

Since Donna couldn't make it in for breakfast I'll help her out...How about some of my monkey bread. Haven't had that in a while!

I hope everyone has a great day! It's finally warming up around here.:goodvibes

I was thinking the same thing!!! :rolleyes1:lmao: Sorry, JK!:flower3: How are the kids?
hahahaha :rotfl:

The kids are doing great. All 3 swim all the time now. Colton actually practices twice a day for a total 4 1/2 hours a day. 2 hours before school, 2 1/2 hours after school.

We have the rest of this week, then 3 more weeks of school. Nothing planned for this summer. The kids are going to visit their mother for a week in June.

We are trying to decide what to do for vacation for Spring Break next March. 7 Day cruise? Disney land/sea vacation? Can't make up our minds!!

ohhh decisions decisions!!! Hmmm TN isn't THAT far from Ohio...ya know...Cedar Point...Kings Island ;)!!!:woohoo:hmmm

good luck deciding on next spring break too!!

Pozey you scared everyone off!!!:scared1::lmao:

Everyone must be having a busy week. I've actually been pretty lazy enjoying the little bit of sunshine before the rain hits again! I do have an awful lot of makeup work for the rest of the week.:laundy:

There was another incident at school yesterday. The teacher made Maddie go to a table by her desk because she was not doing her mother's day project fast enough. Of course it had to do with writing something. :sad2:

Well yesterday I took on the vice president of ***** home improvement (I can't say the name because it is part of the company DH works for ;) ). By the way if you need windows don't go there!:ssst:We are still dealing with our stupid windows. We finally decided to deal with the cold air leaking in the winter by plastic or whatever we need to in exchange for a % off and end this madness. Well when that was taken to the Vice President they all sugar coated the issues and "exaggerated" the truth (I don't like to call people liars;) ) and said the windows were fine. The VP decided it better to call DH at work (bad idea) and tell him all they would offer is $150 gift card and told him our windows are fine. :lmao::rotfl2::lmao::mad: He knew DH wouldn't be able to argue with a VP of the Co. especially at work. Well I called, nicely explained that DH doesn't deal with personal matters at work and this was not an employee issue, this is a customer issue. I gave him the run down of all the issues that we have over the past few months. He seemed shocked as it was not the same as he was told. He responded with "well I guess the gift card doesn't cut it". NO DUH! So he is suppose to get back with me. We'll see.

I hope everyone is well! :flower3:

I skirt yore strings?:confused3

:rotfl:

Donna..thanks, the tonga toast was my fav!! have fun w/sports:cheer2: I'm so glad soccer is almost over!!!!

Lesa....I feel so bad for Maddie:guilty:lots of prayers and pixy dust...I bet she can't wait for school to be over! I'd definitely not be home during the party. :guilty: Give Maddie a hug for us! We love her and support her!!!:cheer2:

everyone have a great day...time for ENG to start:headache::laughing:

I'm watching Oprah, it's about kids being bullied and the pain it causes the kids that are bullied even to the point of suicide. :sad1:

Hi Linda! I will give her a hug. Sadly I see the issues with the kids only getting worse as she gets older. :sad1: It is really heartbreaking and there is nothing I can do to help that part of it. I can only fight the school to make that little easier on her. :guilty: It stills makes me angry as she would be a little further along and not as stressed out if they had only listened years ago.:sad2: But I can only march forward with her and make sure they listen now!::yes::

Hey, guys - hope you don't mind me horning in on your thread.... I've been wanting to stop in and say hello for a while, so - hello!! :wave2:
I've been hiding out on the photography board a little - bunch of photography geeks like me... :rotfl:

Hugs to everybody - miss ya!

Hello all!!

We had yesterday off from school so instead of relaxing at home my friend and I took our boys on a college tour. I can't believe he is that old, that we have to start thinking about this.

We drove down to the University of Toledo. Lesa, did you ever look at that school. It is really lovely. Matt loved it and has decided that is where he wants to go. I said this was our first visit, could we possibly look at a few more before he decides:confused3

We had an overview with the admissions director, then a 45 minute walking tour, lunch in one of the dining halls ( the boys loved the fact that you can eat as much food as you like!!) Then we headed over to the football stadium to meet with the coachs and have a look around. As I said, the boys loved it.

Linda...I am so glad you can take occasional breaks from all your homework. Keep an eye on Mike, I hope this med change works for him.

Lesa, I hope Britty didn't have the swine flu, but you are so right. They are blowing this all out of proportion. Apparently there are supposed to be 3 pandemics every 100 years. It has been 40 since the last one so I guess we are due:rolleyes: so the media has lost its collective mind!!!

How about some more pics from the Relay.

We were told that Sat evening was going to be a 'Mr Relay" contest. Every team was supposed to have one guy dress up like a girl, go around the course for 15 minutes and see who can collect the most money. Well guess who was selected for our team.....Yep Matt, We wanted to get him dressed in private so we used the locker room. It was too funny...I went with him to help with his makeup:rotfl2: We even got him some false eyelashes!!! As we were walking back after we passed quite a few people...there was a baseball game going....no one would look at him as we passed:rotfl: I think they were afraid!!

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you.......Mr Relay

He and the other boys ran around selling leis...they couldn't sell them fast enough!! In 15 minutes he raised $181.26!!! I'm afraid he is thinking this could be his summer job!:lmao:

Then his coach had agreed to be in a contest too. They had containers with the pictures of 4 men. Whoever got the most money in their container agreed to have his head shaved!! Naturally the coach won ( or lost depending how you look at it)

So we decided it would be a good idea for Matt to be the one to shave him...while still dressed up of course.

By the next morning they were all looking a little worse for wear but they did great!

Lesa...I cannot believe what you are going thru with Maddie's school. That just sucks!

I bet you had an interesting conversation with the VP. Hope you can finally get this worked out.

Have to run Matt up to baseball...have a great day:grouphug:

OMG Michele!!!:lmao:Thanks for posting those I needed a good laugh!:rotfl2: Get leid!!!:lmao: Tell Matt :worship:

UT has a beautiful campus. I would have gone there but I left and shacked up with DH! :rolleyes1 ;) I actually could have had everything paid for and threw it away.:scared1: I had to laugh that the boys were excited about the dining hall and all they care to eat. Don't you feed them at home? Looking at a few more is a good idea. Did you tell him other colleges serve food?

Speaking of going to school, I did go to a community college for 4 semesters to be a Dr Assistant then I was going to go on to nursing school from there. I flunked my clinic because we had to practice drawing blood and giving shots on each other. No way was someone practicing on me I wouldn't even let a real nurse draw my blood because I always passed out.:upsidedow I ended up quitting the program because I couldn't get past that.:thumbsup2

The meeting at school went really well. I ran it which is always good!;) They included everything I asked for, addressed the classroom issue, and I think I left them with a better understanding of what her needs are. I will just have to stay on top of things as usual. We also decided on what teacher would be good for her next year.:teacher:

I actually enjoyed the "chat" with the VP. He went from pure confidence to tripping over his words. pirate:

I heard about that incredibly sad! I can't imagine! Don't the teachers see this stuff going on???I always ask Kenny about how things are and how he's treated at school. He had a bigger kid steal one of his books and another take one of his Bakugan, then he realized I was right and he shouldn't be taking stuff like that to school to begin with:rolleyes1 ;)! I would seriously move or homeschool Kenny if I thought he was being bullied badly. I'd want to go to the school and kick their little #$%$% myself, but of coarse that can't happen...so, I really want to get him into martial arts, just in case ;)...never a bad idea to know how to defend yourself ;)!
Maybe it would be something good for Maddie, boost her self confidence for sure! I know it just has to be heartbreaking!! It would just kill me!

too bad you couldn't have practices on an orange or something!!

Yay you got to run the meeting, I sure hope it helps and you're able to get somewhere. I hope and pray next year is better for her!

Hey, Pozey, you didn't kilt our thread!!:wave2:

Hi, Dznyfan!! You're NOT horning in on the thread!! You are more than welcome to hide out here if you'd like.:rolleyes1;)

Lesa:: I'm glad you finally got to speak to the VP about your windows. That was pretty sneaky of them trying to get you to settle for a $150 gift certificate.
I'm glad that you had a good meeting with the school. Is nothing being done about this year's teacher and her treatment of Maddie? Give Madison a hug from me, too?
I hope Britt is over her flu by now. Yes, this swine flu thing has been crazy, but at least the public is taking precautions.

Michele:: The pics of Matt are a hoot!! That's terrific that he made so much $$$!!:cheer2::cheer2:

YourMajesty:: Yes, we had a busy weekend. Nathan's basketball lasts until July 21st. We leave for California on the 25th.:hippie:

Linda:: congrats on the micro-biology grade!! I must admit that science and biology wre not exactly my best subjects in school.:scared:
You're a great mom for asking Kenny how things are going at school. I have to ask....what is a Bakugan.

Well, had better check out for the evening.

Hopefully, I'll get up in time tomorrow morning to serve breakfast.:flower3:
