Breakfast at Kona.....let's grab a table!!

Good morning, all!!:sunny:

Oh, Linda!! I love your hair!! It still has a lot of length to it and looks fab on you!!:hippie:
That is so Kenny to say that you looked so young, but he's right.:thumbsup2
Have fun helping your mom shop.;)

Maureen:: You made me smile by saying how much you watch the NCAA and to like watch the high school games.:goodvibes
Nathan's team lost last night by 8 points, but it was theor first game as a team and the other team had already played 8 games. I was worried that Nathan wouldn't get to play much; he didn't start, but ended up playing quite a bit.:woohoo:
I'm hoping that our family makes it this July, but we would probably fly out on the evening of the 24th; Michelle mentioned that you are heading to Vero on the 25th. Gary has been complaining of knee problems, but the dr. prescribed Arthrotec for him and has been doing much better. I haven't made any reservations just yet.
I hope you enjoy your visit with Melissa and your grandson. give Miss Lilly a hug for me.

2x2s:: Nice to see you, but sorry your computer is getting so ......poopy. You need to get in that new villa so that you can enjoy the new high-speed.
I'm going to ask the coach this weekend about the St. Louis/collinsville games for next weekend.

YourMajesty:: How are you doing? any big plans for the weekend?
I hope your Ds is doing better with his knee.

Lesa:: Have fun on your weekend. check in when you get a chance, we want to hear all about it.

Angela:: Got anything exciting going on this weekend. Any disney trips planned for the future?
Angela, I just came back to edit, because I just nioticed your trip counter.....duh!! Where are you staying? We stayed at All-star Sports in Oct and kind of enjoyed it.

Well, we got some bad news yesterday. I'm not sure if I mentioned that Gary went to the dr. for knee pain and he just hasn't been feeling very well. His blood test came back yesterday and he is diabetic and his cholesterol levels are " off the chart", so guess we/he will be changing some eating habits around here. the problem is, Gary isn't really big on veggies or fruit; he's a red meat and starch kind of guy.:sad1:
YM.....I think i need your help.:flower3:

Just remember I am not an advocate of sugar and fat-filled breakfast goodies, unless they are of the virtual type.:rolleyes1
Bon appetit, my friends.

I hope you all have a Sugar-Free Saturday!!:hippie:

Just wanted to stop in with a quick hello!
6smiliessayings7.gif

I just wanted to let you all know Britt made it safely to Guatemala. We got a call late last night from her friends mom that all was well. She also mentioned how much my dd can eat.:lmao: I guess when they got to the airport yesterday morning she ate (mind you she ate before she left here), they had a layover in Houston, she ate, then she ate on the plane to Guatemala. Once they arrived they stopped for "the best chicken" on the way to the grandmother's house. So needless to say Britt is eating her way from home though Guatemala.:confused3 :lmao: :rotfl2:

Britt called this morning to let me know how beautiful the sky was this morning. She said it had red and green in it and that she took pictures. They will be on their way to Antigua this afternoon.

I miss my baby!!!

2x I had to laugh at the image of you trailing Brittany with your sunhat and sunglasses with a foo foo drink in your hand!:lmao: Somehow I think you'd stick out like a sore thumb!:rotfl2:

Linda your hair is darling! I wish my hair would look good in something like that.

Thanks for all the well wishes for Britt's travel. I will check in again when I hear from her.

Have a glorious weekend!:grouphug:

Hello all!! Here I am!! ;)

As mom told you I have been crazy busy the last few weeks. Betw being sick (twice) then basketball ending and all that entails, then baseball started the very next day! poor Matt was exhausted, the baseball coach gave all the basketball players the first week off but they only took off 2 days. They couldn't stand sitting around. Plus the PTA etc

I have also had 6th grade math homework to do:laughing: That is one of the classes I work in and I have a student that just is NOT getting what we are working on now. (dividing decimals) I have to tell you we did not learn it this way back in the stone age when I was in school. I have to take it home with me, go over the next days assignment. Do all of the work (without a calculator!!) so I can teach her the next day. One night I was at the high school for freshman orientation. I was at a table in the back lobby waiting for the families to get out of the meeting and was doing my 'homework' like a good little girl. I had 6-7 high school kids hanging around "helping" me. It was too funny. Since most of them are in classes like calculus and learned out of the same book I was using, they thought it was too funny that I was having problems with it.

Math is my nemesis. Give me history, spelling, grammar anything else and I am good to go. But put math in front of me and I still feel like that kid who didn't study for the test.:sad2:

Linda...your hair looks wonderful! I need to get mine done sooo badly! I hope Mike's tests come back as something that you can easily treat.

Donna... I am so sorry about Gary. The adjustment will be tough I'm sure but I know you guys can handle it.

YM...I can just imagine how Matt would be if he was told he couldn't play any sports for a while. He would be bouncing off walls and a grouchy bear!! You poor thing.. I hope he heals up soon.

2x2...how are you darlin'? Fingers crossed that you get everything ready and into your new villa soon!!

My parents, my sister and nephew have just arrived. Check in later.

OMG! My dd called begging us to buy her a house in Guatemala! She actually thought we would just wire her the money. They went to look at the house they are thinking about buying for a vacation home, they are just being built. The one right next door is available and that is the one Britt wants. It has a courtyard in the middle of the house and "her" room has it's own bathroom. She put the mom on to tell me how nice it was so I would buy it for her. The mom thinks my daughter is nuts!:lmao: :rotfl2: I told Britt I'd think about it and let her know by the end of the week.:rolleyes1  :rotfl:

Donna I'm so sorry to hear about Gary. Hopefully with a change in diet will help.

Linda when does Mike go in for his test?

Angela I forgot to say hello! We missed you!

I think I'm going to get my jammies on and watch a little tv before bed.

Well it was very nice visiting with my sister and nephew. He seems to be getting taller everytime I see him. He is 14 years old and about 6'4" I think. He could be 7' tall for all I can tell. (I'm only 5'2")

Lilly has been calling Briana, me, my mom, Zach's mom...pretty much everyone Mama. Well the other day I came home from work and she looked up and said, "hi, Damma" I grabbed her up, gave her a hug and kiss and offered to take her to Disney World. Oh wait, we are doing that this summer.:)

Zach brought her home the other day and basically said good luck, she has been having a heck of a day. Spent a bit of time in 'time out' I looked at her and said 'Lilly have you been in time-out?' She looked at me and said. "I sassy, Damma" :lmao::thumbsup2:rotfl2: I call her Sassy or Sass all the time:laughing:

I hope everyone had a great weekend. This week shouldn't be too bad. I have a 1/2 day on Thursday and the boys don't:woohoo: Then we all have Friday off:yay:

Good morning, everyone!!

Nathan's team got second place in the tournament this weekend. We were all pretty happy with their playing, since Fri. night was their first game playing as a team!!:cheer2:

Lesa:: I'm glad to hear that Britt has arrived safely in Guatemala nd has even found you/her the perfect vacation home.;) It does sound like a beautiful home.

Michele:: Lilly is just so cute. " I sassy, damma." Give that little punkin' a hug from me .:goodvibes I just really can't imagine our Miss Lilly in a time-out.
I would have to cave and offer to take her to WDW, too!!
Congrats on the short work week!!:woohoo:

Hello to everyone!!:wave2:

I've saved a table at our favorite oceanside breakfast spot. I hope that warm sunshine doesn't warm the OJ too much.:sunny:

Ocean%20Side%20Breakfast3.jpg

I hope you all have a Marvelous Monday!!

Just wanted to stop in with a quick hello!

Britt called this morning to let me know how beautiful the sky was this morning. She said it had red and green in it and that she took pictures. They will be on their way to Antigua this afternoon.

I miss my baby!!!

I think I must have missed this, why is Brit in Guatemala? It sounds beautiful! About 4 years ago we started the process for adoption in Guatemala but we ended up stopping it. I had looked forward to seeing the country.

Linda your hair looks great and I know it's short for you, but it isn't really that short and it looks great!!

Can you believe all the talk off brackets and I didn't even fill mine out?! The boys didn't either so our bet of breakfast in bed is off. I know Darin is upset because he actually filled his out! :)

This weekend the weather was really nice and the kids played outside a lot. Yesterday we visited a new church on our quest to find a new one for the last year. The boys played all day and then we were invited down the street for a cookout so we all had a great day. I heard Ben say this morning "Yesterday was the best day ever!". So I guess all is good here, I'm counting down the days until Disney and I can't wait!:banana:

I hope everyone had a great weekend!! Happy Monday (if there is such a thing!).

Good morning!

I'm getting ready to take Maddie to Color Me Mine to paint some pottery then out to lunch. It is such an ugly day out today. Can't complain too much thought I guess as it was such a beautiful weekend.

Britt went horseback ridding, watched a religous processional (we saw pictures of it before she went, it looked so beautiful), then a few other things I didn't understand (teenagers certainly can talk fast when they are excited ;) ), oh and ate and shopped!!!:lmao: She said the hotel they are in is just beautiful and there is the most beautiful church outside their window.

Angela Britt was invited to go with her friend. The mom is from there and travel several times a year to see family. They invited Britt to come with them for spring break.

Well I'd better run, I've still got to get in the shower.

Oh I'm so behind:guilty: not being able to get on yesterday just had me all out of whack, sad isn't it:rolleyes1:laughing:

I'm so excited; tonight is Nathan's first AirForce One game. they play again tomorrow at 2pm and sunday at 4pm.

Okay....I must admit I'm a bit disappointed in my friends. doesn't everyone decorate their donuts with green icing and pumpkin seeds??

I had an email from Loews/Universal and had to go check that out and one thing led to another........:surfweb: I'm running late again!!
I hope Nathans games are going well:cheer2:

Kenny would go for the green, but no seeds:laughing:

OHHH I love those Loews emails! I can't wait to finally use that card and check out the resorts/parks at Universal!:yay:I really have to find out if Nathan is right...is it better:confused3:laughing:I trust him, he's got pretty good taste! That new coaster they have looks AWESOME!!:woohoo:

Thanks for breakfast:hug:

Linda...I like to pull mine into a ponytail at the base of my neck...that way it stays in place better!:thumbsup2 Hope you get to see your movie this weekend!
yeah, that is great for sure, mines too short for that right now, those short layers fall out, but my hair grows so fast, it won't be long. I can't believe the difference in just all that weight and bulk being gone, its great!

we didn't make it to the movies...but there is always this weekend:yay:

Donna You are just the cutest!! You always remember the important things that everyone has going on in their lives. I am just the pits!!

Tuition at the high school level is over $28,000 per year. The team is very tall, very talented and really fun to watch.

Linda I am so upset about your DH. I am praying that they discover that his problems all stem from side-effects of his medication. I believe that I am taking the same medication as he is to control nerve pain. I know that one of the possible side-effects is depression and even suicidal feelings. I also do not do well when put on any narcotics. I tend to cry over everything and nothing when on them. I hope they can work all of this out for him and still come up with some plan to manage his pain without sacrificing his enjoyment of life.

I'm sure that your hair looks wonderful. I too would love to see a picture of the new do.

I will skip the Nicholas Cage movie. Funny, I thought he was so great in Moonstruck but now I find him to just be creepy. But then, the movie industry would go under if they had to live on my support. The last movie that we went to see was the last Harry Potter movie in IMAX. I'm not good at sitting for that long. I much prefer to be doing something else while I'm watching a movie or TV.

I'm having fun with the NCAA tournament. I have basketball on from noon til 11:00. And I got all 16 right on yesterdays bracket. :woohoo: I'm sure I will be brought down to earth today though. Sorry, but I don't have either Oklahoma or Louisville going all the way although I do really like both teams.

the x-rays and it showed arthritis in the base of her neck. He want her on lots of vitamin D and pills to calm the inflammation. She kind of laughed about because she feels better. She has had Bree giving her massages in the evening. And of course, hugs from Lilly!

I should get busy cleaning. Our DD Melissa and grandson are driving here from Illinois to spend the weekend. I'm sure they will be happy to see Steve and me but let's face it, they are really coming to see Lilly. She is so much fun now.
Hey there Maureen:hug: you're right, Donna is wonderful about remembering so many things like that:cloud9:

wow 28k a year:eek:I thought about sending Kenny when he went to school, and thought 3-5 was crazy:rolleyes1...28k...WOW, just wow! I bet they're great to watch play!

well, Mike went up to the VA hospital in Cleveland today to the pain specialist and he wants to try some things first. he agrees and thinks his school problems etc are from his meds. He's going to get w/his other dr's up there and come up w/something to try and get him some answers and relief:cheer2:I sure hope they can get him more comfortable and increase his quality of life. He was happy just b/c this dr. took the time to really listen and understand all his issues!!

I have to agree w/you about Cage being kinda creepy! I heard he's a Elvis Presley fanatic and that is why he even married Lisa Marie. He kinda creeps me out, but I do like several of his movies. I really like the National Treasure movies, so I thought this new one might be interesting.

omg...our tv has been on NCAA quite a bit too. I watched the Michigan/Sooners game:banana:that was awesome! I'm getting into it some for sure! Wow...congrats on getting them all right:yay:that is awesome!

oh poor Michele:guilty:yeah, I am sure the hugs from Lilly help for sure! they'd put a smile on anyones face. I love the "I sassy damma":cloud9:too adorable! just melts your heart!
I hope the visit went well and they made it home safely.

hey hey!!!

oh my goodness---my computer isssss soooooo slloooooow!!!!!!
I hate to say it, but I dread even turning it on these days.
I'm so sorry, our other computer is like that, I'm so use to having some speed, that things makes me want to just chuck it out the window:rolleyes1 I feel your pain!!!

Oh, Linda!! I love your hair!! It still has a lot of length to it and looks fab on you!!
That is so Kenny to say that you looked so young, but he's right.:thumbsup2
Have fun helping your mom shop.

ended up playing quite a bit.

Oh thank you:hug: I have gotten use to it and really like it! I love all that weight being gone:yay:
yeah, you know Kenny, always coming up w/something:cloud9:
shopping was great, I introduced her to ONLINE shopping:rotfl2:she ordered a dress online so we just went to Logans for lunch, can you belive she'd never been there:eek:I'm trying to pull her out from under the rock and into the real world:laughing:of coarse she loved some time w/Kenny too. Kenny loved picking out some goodies, had to get webkinz, Bolt dvd etc. the guy couldn't believe I was getting Bolt and not Twilight:rotfl:

Oh I'm so glad Nathan got to play quite a bit:cheer2:he works hard and definitely deserves it!

Yes...she definitely needs that new villa!!! :woohoo:

OH NOOOO I'm so sorry to hear about Gary! I know what you mean, Mike is a meat and potatoes kinda guy too!!
I hope his sugar isn't too hard to regulate, I know it can really change your life:guilty:My grandma was a really bad diabetic, her sugar was rarely under 300!!! I'm sure YM can help him come up with something he can live with:cloud9: I sure hope he can get that cholesterol down too! we'll be praying for him!

She also mentioned how much my dd can eat. I guess when they got to the airport yesterday morning she ate (mind you she ate before she left here), they had a layover in Houston, she ate, then she ate on the plane to Guatemala. Thanks for all the well wishes for Britt's travel. I will check in again when I hear from her.
Hey there Lesa:hug: Hang in there...I know you miss Britt so much, but it sounds like she's having the time of her life! Enjoying some good food too:rotfl: and picking out a new home huh:rolleyes1:rotfl2:wouldn't that be wonderful!!!
:lmao:what a great image of 2x:rotfl2:yup...I can definitely see it!!!

aww thanks!!! you have beautiful hair!

Hello all!! Here I am!!

My parents, my sister and nephew have just arrived. Check in later.

I hope you got your homework done:rolleyes1:rotfl2: too funny!!

I'm there w/you on the math thing though...NOT my best subject..and its a big part of the NET (nursing entrance test) too:headache: so, I'm just going to take some of the math coarses at school again. they're web based, but I think it'll help, good refresher I'm sure:laughing:

Thanks so much! its hard to find time to do things for ourself isn't it? esp. w/kids in sports etc.!!!

She actually thought we would just wire her the money.
what...you didn't do it :confused3:rotfl2::lmao: that's too funny!!!

I'm not sure if/when they're going to test him now...he went to another dr. today and really thinks its his meds and wants to try some changes for him:yay:

whoo hoo...enjoy your short week!!!

Good morning, everyone!!
Nathan's team got second place in the tournament this weekend. We were all pretty happy with their playing, since Fri. night was their first game playing as a team!!

Thanks so much! I'm getting use to it, yeah, I haven't had my hair this short in about 10 years:rolleyes1 its definitely short for me. before it was always...I've gotta let it grow back out:eek: now...I'm not sure I want to do that again...I love the weightlessness of it!!:yay:

oh no...the breakfast bet is off.... OOPS!!

don't you love hearing them say things like that "best day ever":cloud9::love:

whoo hoo...I love counting down the days!!! Its so exciting!:yay:

wow, sounds like Britt is having an incredible experience for sure! I'm so glad she got the chance to go:cloud9: too cool!!!

well..I hope everyone had a great weekend and has a wonderful week!!

Sat was fun shopping w/mom and yesterday...was pretty much NCAA and Nascar...
Mike asked me what my plans for the week are...I said I'm going to enjoy it b/c next Monday...I'll be in school full timescary...and exciting at the same time!!!

take care and have a great week!
78 images!!!d'oh!

Linda that is fabulous news!!! From everything you were saying it sounded like his meds were the problem! I know I was put on some powerful stuff for pain after my accidents as well as different meds for migrains and I think some of it ruined my short term memory permanently. I also have a huge problem with word retrieval, they will be on the tip of my tongue and the simplest of words but they just won't come. I end up saying a lot of "what's that thing" .:headache: It's hard to carry on a conversations sometimes because I can't think of half the words I want to say.:upsidedow Good luck to Mike, I hope they figure out something that will work for him.

Donna- I'm sorry about Gary, I can only imagine how much his diet will have to change. Of course less sugar could be good for everyone huh?! I just saw where you asked me where we are staying at Disney. We are going to stay at POP for the first time on April 19 & 20th then we will stay the next seven days at Windsor hills. I've always got to tack on a few days onsite, but I love having all the space at the townhouse, I guess we need to by DVC!

Alright for you petite ladies I want to let you know my 9 year old is gaining on you, he's 5'1" and 9 years old!:goodvibes My MIL is about 5'3" and it's neat to see them stand together!

On another subject I bought a Passporter, the one everyone raves about. Of course there is a lot I already know in it, I'm loving the pockets the maps you can take out etc. It's neat having everything together. I use TGM too so I'll print out best days from his site and any other thing that might be useful and stuff it in the pockets of the passporter. Now I can see why people rave about it.

We are trying 2 new restaurants this trip Le Cellier for lunch our first day at the parks and Spoodles. I think we are the last family on the Disboards to try LeCellier!! Anyone try Spoodles?

happy monday eve!!!

well, my bacon is officially burned!!!:lmao::lmao: I was off work today and made painting the drywall patches my project for the day. I ran to Target in the morning to get some paint utencils, then came back home to start. I went downstairs to get the paint and one of the cans (for the bedroom, I quickly learned) had only about 1/8 can of paint left and all dried up.:sad2: Well, poop. It has a code on it, but can they match a color that is 7?? years old?? I really don't want to have to paint the whole room. I was able to get the living room finished, however. It turned out fine and matched perfectly.

I have a funny nephew story. The 3yr. old wanted to look at my niece's teeth. Well, she has braces and he asked her, "you got train tracks on your teeth??":rotfl:
I miss them so much. My niece is taking her field trip to Epcot on Thursday. They have to do a report on one of the countries and she picked France. (she is MY daughter, I think:lovestruc) I had to call her tonight with the list of hidden Mickeys in France.:cutie:

Donna---I am so sorry to hear about Gary. I know there are tons of diabetic cookbooks out there, but veggies are a mainstay, I'm afraid. I'm sure that's not an easy thing when they are not a favorite. Hopefully you can figure something out or his dr. has some advice.

Angela---I read that Spoodles is changing, but not sure when. I've never eaten there, but just said a couple of weeks ago that I'd like to try it. This is before I found out they are changing. Both Spoodles and the new, I believe have a Mediterranean flair. The pics of Spoodles sure looked good. Hummus, flatbreads and SANGRIA.:rotfl2: The new restaurant is supposedly being opened by a local chef who is on Iron Chef, I believe, so should be excellent, as well.

Linda---darling hair!!! I know you feel it is short, but it still has some length to it, I think.
Hopefully Mike's dr. has some more info, but good to hear his meds are causing some of the issues.

Lesa----sounds like Britt is having a blast. Too funny that she is picking out real estate for you.:lmao: The country sounds beautiful. Tell her we are all waiting for pics.

Michele---good to see you!!! Glad you are feeling better, but wow, does your schedule sound exhausting!!
I hear you on the math thing. They are teaching completely different these days.
Lilly being sassy??

YM----where's our chatty kathy?? How are the boys??
I heard a Michael Buble song the other day and had to think of you.:lmao:

Good morning!!

Jeepers!! Is it just Tuesday? I can tell this week is going to drag by.:rolleyes1

I'm running late as usual, but will try to recap later this afternoon.
Gary went to work today, so I will have to come home early to meet Nathan.

Here's a child's breakfast from Spoodles. Sorry, but this pic is prabably 10 years old.

SpoodlesBreakfast1.jpg

I hope you all have a Tiggerific Tuesday!!:tigger::tigger:

I sure think so!!! He said he's on the highest dosage they'll give on three of his meds!
Mike is like that too. I think its so rude to finish peoples sentences for them, but I definitely "fill in the blanks" for him a lot ;). It can be so annoying knowing it in your head and not being able to think of "that" word!

I know he thought the tens unit was a joke, but I guess they're getting him this belt and he wants him to use it 16 hrs a day:eek:. Is that what you had to do? I guess if it helps...we'll see!

I guess we need to by DVC!

Alright for you petite ladies I want to let you know my 9 year old is gaining on you, he's 5'1" and 9 years old! My MIL is about 5'3" and it's neat to see them stand together!

On another subject I bought a Passporter

We are trying 2 new restaurants this trip Le Cellier for lunch our first day at the parks and Spoodles. I think we are the last family on the Disboards to try LeCellier!! Anyone try Spoodles?
Yeah, we do too:laughing: but I didn't mind Pop, it was convenient. SOG is great for location and roominess, but I still would love a DVC!

your 9 year old is 5'1"...wow! Kenny just turned 8 and he's only 4'!

Hmm I'll have to check the Passporter out. I hear about it but have always loved TGM, so I never checked it out. Thanks for the info, sounds great!!

ohhh we love Le Cellier! It's pretty a much do for us! Spoodles is high on our list for "want to try"! I bet it will be great!

happy monday eve!!!

well, my bacon is officially burned!!! I was off work today and made painting the drywall patches my project for the day. I ran to Target in the morning to get some paint utencils, then came back home to start. I went downstairs to get the paint and one of the cans (for the bedroom, I quickly learned) had only about 1/8 can of paint left and all dried up. Well, poop. It has a code on it, but can they match a color that is 7?? years old?? I really don't want to have to paint the whole room. I was able to get the living room finished, however. It turned out fine and matched perfectly.

I have a funny nephew story. The 3yr. old wanted to look at my niece's teeth. Well, she has braces and he asked her, "you got train tracks on your teeth??"
I miss them so much. My niece is taking her field trip to Epcot on Thursday. They have to do a report on one of the countries and she picked France. (she is MY daughter, I think:lovestruc) I had to call her tonight with the list of hidden Mickeys in France

Linda---darling hair!!! I know you feel it is short, but it still has some length to it, I think.
Hopefully Mike's dr. has some more info, but good to hear his meds are causing some of the issues.
Hey there 2x:hug:
Lesa is probably our paint expert here:rolleyes1:laughing: I'd think they could match it up and mix more, but not sure if you'll have to do it all again. I sure hope not:guilty:what a pain, I know!
well, hes right...they look like tracks:laughing: too cute:lovestruc
Yeah, she's YOUR daughter for sure:laughing::cloud9::love: I hope she has a great time! I don't know how she COULDN'T...but...hope all goes great!

Thanks, yeah, at least I can still pull it back. It sure feels better!

I sure hope they get him some help, it will help all three of us ;)
just knowing they're listening and trying makes him feel some relief!

I know what you mean. Honestly school will be great, I'll actually know what day of the week it is. I've been horrible about that lately. They all seem the same when you're not working:headache:
I hope Gary is feeling alright. I know he's got some tough changes to adjust to:guilty:
Thanks for breakfast, it still looks great, even for 10 years old:laughing: Thanks so much, you're wonderful:hug:

Hope everyone has a great day!!! I better get some cleaning done. I can't have it looking like I was playing online ALL day:rolleyes1:rotfl:

Linda...I remember reading something in Reader's Digest a while ago that stuck with me. It was directed at Seniors but applies to anyone who is taking a lot of meds.

Any new symptom should be considered a drug side effect until proven otherwise.

It is scary to think of how many medications some people have to take.

I can't believe it is only Tuesday, it so feels like a Thursday. I have a baseball meeting tonight and a meeting for the Relay for Life tomorrow night. I am finally getting my hair cut and colored Friday afternoon. It has been way too long. The grey is getting bad!!:rolleyes1

2x..I am sure they can remake that paint for you. As long as they have the code or something you should be fine. How cool to have a field trip to Epcot:cloud9: I need to live closer. I would sign up to chaperone all the trips. Will she get to go to Grad night when she is much older?

Matt is not enjoying school right now. His Bio 2 class is his first one of the day and they are dissecting a cat:eek: The teacher even makes them name it:scared: It doesn't help that the friend he picked as his lab partner often seems to miss 1st hour. So he is stuck doing a lot of it alone. He says it is way more difficult than he thought.

Some kids and their parents are soo stupid. We have a paper recycling bin behind the school. It is emptied once a week and we receive so much money per ton we collect a month. April 3rd is the Pep Rally (for no good reason:confused3) but the grades compete in strange things to get points to see which grade wins. Well they came up with the idea of collecting magazines. 1 point for each magazine, see which grade brings in the most and recycle all of them. Great...well some people are so competitive that the parents are going INTO the bin after school, taking the magazines out and bringing them into school to be counted AGAIN. We had no idea until this one dad came in a said he needed a wagon and some help to bring in his kids magazines. He had over a THOUSAND of them. Are you kidding?? When we expressed our astonishment over the amount. He quite proudly told us where he got them (picture an office full of adults with our jaws on the floor!) When we explained that none of them would be counted for his little Festus and explained why what he had done went against what we were trying to do he was more than a little embarassed. :headache:

Donna...Thank you for breakfast!! It was yummy as always. I hope Nathan is having fun on his Air Force One team.

Angela...I had the Passporter a while ago. I bought the binder type. I liked it, I should order new pages for this summer. I can't believe your 9 yr old is 5'1" already. We must live in a very short area. Most of the 6th graders are still shorter than me. They use me as their measuring tape at school. All 3 years they check their height by seeing when they get taller than me. They love being able to look down on me.

Lesa...it sounds like Britt is having a ball. That is so great. I hope you guys have fun with Maddie this week.

YM... How are you guys doing??

Briana has returned with pizza so I better go up before they eat it all. We eat so badly when Blake is out of town.;)

~opens door slowly~ creeeeeaaaaaaak...

~looks to the left~

~looks to the right~

~softly whispers~ "hi"

~closes door quickly~

Hey Pozey!! How are you and the kids? It's been a long time, good to see you!

I'm sorry Mike has to deal with all this! I can understand that not being able to find the word you're looking for and I'm not on any medication. I wonder if it's on of those things leading up to the "change of life". It drives me crazy when I say something like "You know that stuff you use for your teeth, it's white..." Dental floss...it's frustrating, I feel for him.

I use TGM too and I will printing out his best days and other neat stuff that I have to have and stuffing into the pockets of the passporter. I just think it's neat that everything is right there, all the restaurants on property, every ride etc. Handy Dandy!

Matt is not enjoying school right now. His Bio 2 class is his first one of the day and they are dissecting a cat:eek: The teacher even makes them name it:scared: It doesn't help that the friend he picked as his lab partner often seems to miss 1st hour. We dissected a cat in Biology 2 also! It was a little weird but it was really interesting. Our teacher thankfully didn't make us name it!

When we explained that none of them would be counted for his little Festus and explained why what he had done went against what we were trying to do he was more than a little embarassed. :headache:

That is CRAZY that parents don't even think, "I guess it wouldn't be fair to dig out 1,000 magazines from the recycling bin". At least he had the sense to be embarrassed instead of arguing the point and trying to justify it. I'm sure he wished he could just disappear, I feel a bit sorry for him! :scared1:

2x2-Thanks for the heads up about Spoodles changing hands. I posted something on the restaurant board and I guess it's changing in the fall. Since we are there next month I'll enjoy Spoodles last hurrah, the new menu doesn't sound as good as the current one. Sangria:love::love:

We had some yummy steak on the grill with a salad and fries tonight it was great. I think I'm bugging my husband with my constant chatter about our trip, I ran our day to day itinerary by him today and he said "Sounds great", then on to other things. I guess we'd never get anything done if he was as obsessed with planning as I am. It's going to rain here until Saturday according to the news, hopefully not it was so nice today.

I'm a little ticked that the President is pre-empting (spelling??) American Idol tonight. I know he's the president but geez....:headache:

Good morning, everyone!!

Yikes!! I'm afraid I got a little behind with the thread!!

Pozey:: Good to see you pop in.

Angela:: Your steak on the grill sounds delicious. I have a few in the freezer right now waiting for the perfect time to fire up the grill. I bought new charcoal last week. Yeah, we are probably the last people in the world to NOT have a gas grill.:rolleyes1
Your trip is sounding really nice. I haven't officially cancelled mine and Nathan's......we would be leaving a week from Friday.

2x2s:: Like the others said, I'm sure the store would be able to match the paint colors for you.
That is just so cute that your nephew thought your niece's braces looked like train tracks.
How great that you had a list of the hidden mickeys in France.....yep, could be YOUR daughter!!:cutie:

Linda:: I'm crossing my fingers that Mike's problems are a result of his meds. I know how hard this is for you and Kenny.
I had to laugh about you not knowing what day it is. School will definitely get you back in the groove!:woohoo:

Michele:: OMG!! I can imagine that the parent would be embarrassed about recycling the magazines!!:scared1: Don't you just wonder where some people are coming from??
ICK!! I'm with Matt on disecting the cat.....and have to name it??:scared:
Sounds like you are a busy lady.
Nathan uses my mom as a measurement; he is almost as tall as she is. She keeps telling us that she has on her "flat" shoes, but I tell her that Nathan does too.:confused::rolleyes1

I think Gary is adjusting to his new diet. We had a salad and a sandwich with our 45 calorie bread for dinner last night. He did come home hungry after practice and had some celery and a few pretzels.
I'm trying to get him to eat a rice cake, but he says it tastes like flavored styrofoam.:teeth: Oh, well....

I have a little something ready and waiting for breakfast this morning. Just a little something I picked up at our local bakery
