Not sure that this is exactly the right place for this thread, please excuse me if it should be somewhere else-

DH is a high school band director. The band will be going to Disney for their Spring trip. As part of the package Disney will be providing breakfast for the kids at Fantasia Gardens. Apparently there is also a speaker or program of some sort. I think it must be a new thing because it wasn't offered to us the last time we went (2 years ago). My initial thought was "do we have to?" because there is already so much on the schedule. On the other hand it's essentially paid for, so that's one less meal the kids will have to worry about. Besides, it might be pretty cool. Has anyone done this before? What were your thoughts?

Thanks!

We have the same thing scheduled for our dance team in two weeks. Of course, it threw me when they said breakfast at Fantasia Gardens. I'm still wondering if this might just be the meeting area and then they are taken somewhere else for the breakfast/orientation thing.

My granddaughter's dance class had this breakfast this summer. It is in a tent adjacent to Fantasia Gardens. My wife (grandma) went and was very favorably impressed with the program put on by Disney. She thought the Disney people putting on the program were super, going to great lengths to
personalize the program to the the dance group. Based on her opinion, I'd say go, and plan to enjoy it. The one drawback---the busdriver taking them to the event had to be told how to get there--he initially headed in the opposite direction. :sunny:

Thank you both for posting. :)

Jctwizzer, was the bus driver a Disney driver? We are definetely going. I'm just curious about what the program is going to be. I'm sure we will enjoy it.

Ugadog, please post again when you get back to let us know your impressions.

The bus driver was Disney....it was one of their buses. I have the impression he was given somewhat nebulous instructions on where to take the group. My wife, who has been to WDW numerous times, recognized the problem and got them back on track. She indicated the program included some discussion of Disney's organization and way of doing things; some characters (Mickey as I recall); and some on stage involvment of the dance group's leaders. She was also favorably impressed with the breakfast that was served!!!! :cool1:

Ah! OK, well I will just have to make sure that I sit near the the lead bus driver then. ;)

Sounds like a great way to start off our trip. Thanks for the report. :)
