Finally talked DH into a buffet!:cool1: We were going to do lunch at Yak & Yeti on our AK day but now are thinking BOMA breakfast buffet, thanks to MickeyNicki's BOMA breakfast porn fest on her last review.:lmao:

Give me your opinions on the buffet itself(including your faves), best time to go and any other tips you may want to share. Thanks!!

I think MickeyNicki's porn fest said it all. :thumbsup2 Everything is good. I especially love the fresh fruit and pastries. Boma breakfast and dinner is a must for us every trip. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I will second that. We loved the BOMA buffet. I do have to say though the juice was my favorite, the one that has Guava juice, it doens't bite you back like the OJ can.

We ate a little of everything and I liked it all, except something that was an African type of grits and it was because it was kinda bland and runny, but loved everything. My Dh is bvery picky and he even really enjoyed it.

I can't believe I got ressie 4 wks out.
Either I'm lucky or not many people are looking at the same places I am. :confused3

Come on, don't be a wimp Eat first then ride EE!

Actually we'll do Boma breakfast then the park, but with my 6yo we won't be riding EE.

The sad thing is you know someone has done this. Probably a 12yo at WDW with Grandma who has no clue what the ride is until its too late. :rotfl2:  The 12yo now has a really "cool" story to tell when he gets back to school. :rolleyes1

TigerKat, you will love it! Let us all know what you thought when you get back....and thanks for the credit! Please make sure you eat a slice of corn bread and biscuit casserole for me!

I tried to PM you, sent you an e-mail.;)

Will do the cornbread and casserole!!

I think we may do it once our trip, too, since we're planning to stay there. Have to see if we get to even go now with DH's work situation.

I wonder if it's fairly easy to walk in for a late breakfast or make one while there?

 I hope things work out and you can still go. I would think since you'll be there you should be able to make one then.:goodvibes

I loved it! The juice they give you is absolutely amazing.. it sort of reminds me of the tropical v-8 splash though.. but it's still good.. I drank 5 glasses.. haha.

Food wise I got an omelette, french toast, potatoes, yogurt, banana, chocolate chip muffin, and waffles and everything was so good. I'll definitely be going back!

Conversely, I loved the "African grits", its a grain called quinoa, and the thing that makes it is the topping, made of toasted quinoa and brown sugar. Amazing! All of the buffet was great, we do breakfast or dinner every trip!

I'm taking notes and I think I'm going to need to be rolled out of there.

Hi TK!!!

We absolutely LOVE:love: Boma for breakfast. The sausage and biscuit casserole is to die for. It is the only WDW recipe I have recreated at home, and I gotta say...I did an excellent job.;) I have made it several times now.

The breakfast bobotie is also great...like a corned beef hash under some sort of crust/topping...YUM!

Near the quinoa (I make quinoa at home all the time, but savory, not sweet like it is served here. It is really good) is another porridge type thing called "pap." Should probably have a better name than that:rotfl: ...but very good.

I ordered a bloody mary here once and it was soooo weak...really disappointed me. Of course I will try again, and next time maybe ask for the vodka on the side!

The Frunch was actually a little too sweet for me, but most people love it. Ohhhh, order a pressed pot of coffee...you know, like Kona's? Well worth it. That's what we use at home (french press) so we love it when we are out to breakfast as we do think it makes a superior cup of coffee...plus it is just FUN!

can't wait to hear all your reviews! Is this the trip you will be trying RR? And did you say BZ, also?

Thanks for all the great tips!!

 I was thinking of having a bloody mary there, that's definitely going to change.

This trip is a try "all new" places trip - Dinners will be Narcoossee's, RR, Yachtsman, Bistro De Paris. Lunches will be Sci-Fi, The Plaza and Breakfasts will be Boatwrights & BOMA!!!!:goodvibes
